[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Oh, excuse me, seems we got a visitor.” Upon hearing the new guest, Nagisa bolts up from her seat, moving to the door of the garage.

A third person approaches the garage, perhaps unaware that he's about to intrude upon a scene of ambiguous-flirtation-by-ordnance-design. He has a densai in one hand, as if he's been looking something up during the transit ride here.

"Hello?" he calls at the lot gate. "This is Tetsuo's, right? Tamori Kanna-san said Kaiu Nagisa is working on the Bon fireworks here?"

“Ah! Come on in! You’re at the right place.” Nagisa calls out from the garage entrance, trying not to step on anything arranged out on the tarp. “Mind the supplies, don’t want anyone getting hurt out here.”

"I'm Sorato. Er, Agasha Sorato." He lets himself in after Nagisa's greeting, brows arching as he gets a good look at the spread of materials in the parking lot. "Oh, you know what you're doing, Kaiu-san," he says appreciatively. "The really traditional stuff."

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

Ichitaiyo followed with a little grin to her face, patting Nagisa's back one more time.before taking the normal social distance.

"Yeup! This is the workshop of the most brilliant mechanic in Nakahama."

"I am Kitsuki Ichitaiyo. Here just to help by taking orders."

“Oh, right. I guess by process of elimination that makes me Kaiu Nagisa.” The Crab can’t help but chuckle before moving around the materials on the tarp.

“Yup! I thought the monks would appreciate something more traditional. So I’ve been reading this book that details the recipes for the petal colors and the general way to construct a warimono. The tezutsu-hanabi is easily enough done by amateurs so I am also trying them out as well. I’ll just need some volunteers to hold them up. Granted, I’ll also do one.”

She stops running her mouth for a moment to look up at Sorato, eyes curious. “Ah, you’re an Agasha, are you well-versed in this? I know your family produces some of the most brilliant craftsmen when it comes to traditional stuff like this.”

Sorato bows to the two women. "Good to meet you too, Kitsuki-san." Was he interrupting something? He has the sense that he might be, but... it's hard to tell whether or what.

He crouches on his heels to get a closer view of the goods. "All this working from a book? People are right about the Kaiu." He gently touches one of the reinforced bamboo tubes. "I'm not a hanabi artist myself. More of a hanabi appreciator," he explaind, lips quirking. "I've assisted with my share of assembly and launches, though. Steady hands, only a healthy fear of fire. And my brother-in-law's a hobbyist, so we're always hearing about his new colors and patterns in the family letters--I thought perhaps some of his diagrams might be useful."

Ichitaiyo decided to sit and stare, have the academics go at it wwith interest, hopefully learning something herself on the process.

Nagisa’s eyes light up with further excitement. “Oh! Personalized diagrams and patterns! That would be a huge help. Thank you so much, Agasha-san. Please thank your brother-in-law on my behalf.”

She glances back towards the ice box in the garage proper, motioning towards it in the process. “If you want some water, feel grab a bottle. Keeping hydrated is important today. Though, I do ask for the drink to stay in the garage so there’s no risk of spilling on the materials.”

Sorato's lips quirk. "If something he worked on gets shown in a public festival on Green Carp, it'll be a feather in his cap. Hanabi circles back home can be really competitive. In that understated artist way, you know?" He offers her his densai, which has a folder of designs and notes already open. "I've got a transfer chip if you want to copy anything over."

"Oh, thank you. I may take you up on that later," he says in answer to the offer of a drink. "I'm all right for now. This climate is no joke, though."

“It takes a lot to get used to, huh?” Nagisa chuckles before moving to accept the densai. “Oh, that would be great. Thanks for the offer. I really appreciate all of this.”

The Kaiu motions for the Agasha to join her inside the garage proper. Her work bench was inside and made for a much easier place to look over and copy anything over to her own densai.

“Ah, Ichitaiyo-san, you hungry? I got some snacks inside if you want some. The offer extends to you as well, Agasha-san.”

"Not my first time on a hot planet. This much rain and humidity to go with it, though, that's new," Sorato admits, slightly sheepishly.

"Not at all--happy to help," he assures the others as he sets his densai on the workbench. "Contributing to a temple festival is a merit. And this city has been a really generous host. It's satisfying to give back just a little." He finds a spot near the workbench to lean his lanky frame. "Are you native to Tango Province, Kuni-san? And, er... Kitsuki-san?--no, you're probably visiting for the investment summit like me, right?"

Ichitaiyo nodded sagely, crossing her legs from her sitting position. "Yes, here for the investment summit as well, but already too sad to leave Nakahama so soon. I've truly gained a wealth of wisdom in my short time here."
