[D10, MA] DIY Fireworks

With all the supplies and equipment set out on a large tarp in the parking lot of her garage, Nagisa is ready for her newest project and newest potential hobby! She’s not open for business today and her overall dress implies so. She’s just wearing what she had around. Shorts, a Tetsuo Auto Repair T-shirt, and a dream.

The Kaiu glances over her densai. These instructions seem easy enough to follow. Well, for a Kaiu like herself. “Hmmm…”

Laid out are materials to make warimono shells along with the bamboo tubes and rope for the tezutsu-hanabi. And a beside them various containers of the various powders.

It was a good start. She had more materials in the garage to bring out later, but this seems safer than to bring it all out.

“I’m glad you don’t find me suspicious!” Nagisa grins, motioning towards ice box in the garage. “There’s water in there if you get thirsty. Gotta stay hydrated today.”

She then turns her attention to one of the rolled up blueprint, moving to grab it. “This is pretty fun stuff to learn for me. It’s got a lot of complexities.”

She opens up the blueprint before laying it on the ground next to the equipment. “The warimono are the more complex of the two types of fireworks I’m making. The tubes are for the tezutsu-hanabi, which are much easier to put together and are done by amateurs all the time.”

In the big warimono shells, there’s a lot of individual petals, which are balls of the correct color mixture, and they’re set into many layers divided by a filler substance that still burns but spaces it out to time the ignition of the petals further away from the ignition point.” Nagisa points at the diagram, her fingers tapping at some smaller circles inside the large circle.

A third person approaches the garage, perhaps unaware that he's about to intrude upon a scene of ambiguous-flirtation-by-ordnance-design. He has a densai in one hand, as if he's been looking something up during the transit ride here.

"Hello?" he calls at the lot gate. "This is Tetsuo's, right? Tamori Kanna-san said Kaiu Nagisa is working on the Bon fireworks here?"
