[Yasuki Ayame]

Yasuki Ayame and Umiko were both born and raised on Shiawase Island during their father's tenure as governor of the province. Ayame would remain on the island into her adulthood with schooling and training at the Stringray's Sting Dojo. Her first duty brought her outside of her comfortable home to the frigid world of Wolf’s Eye, where she would fully utilize her training as a Hiruma bushi and sniper. Her solid performance and eager personality earned her a quick promotion, eventually transferring her to command of her own squad on the "Jigoku world" of Naraku, where her duties include safeguarding mining operations on the planet and trailblazing for new territory to claim. Her squad garnered some regional fame as the 'Thundering Greatsharks' and enjoyed some minor popularity on the propaganda reels on the informators when the Silver Fin Productions highlighted the continued conquest of the world.

Her father's performance as a governor of the Tango Province was middling, which saw some slight decline in the province's popularity, but it still came as a surprise to the locals when he announced his early retirement and appointed Ayame as his successor. In her rookie year as governor, she would continue her father's legacy with her own twists, albeit with some raised attention on her part of her quirks. It is said that her true test of the province would begin on the anniversary of her rule and with the bidding summit.

While Ayame's duties have taken her away from Shiawase Island for a few years, she is still very much a Green Carp islander at heart. Ayame dresses based on her own whims and needs, rather than following any overarching seasonal trends on the Green Carp. Often, she is ready for athletic occasions, finding little reason to shy away from wearing less to accommodate the heat of the island. At times, this may be to the point of flaunting. Her wardrobe is extensive that she is known to dress from anything between street fashion to Harbourfront hip. Even without Yasuki courtier training, she still appears to be friendly and outgoing, more genuine and without that edge of intention to extract koku from people. Often on the move and not being shy about involving herself, Ayame has a certain restlessness that keeps her active and out of the traditional governor's office.

Yasuki Umiko found her famed beginnings after her gempukku at the prestigious Daikoku's Hand Dojo in the mainland megacity of Aoihama, where she had been scouted and selected to join the musical idol group Aoi48. Aoi48 is an "Idol Legion" group that typically draws in a large number of members in its ever-rotating talent roster. Umiko held membership in the group for several years, touring with them to fulfill public appearances and propaganda duties. She had a popular tenure in the group, often taking the lead in several songs, and graduated at the age of 22. From there, she remained in the entertainment industry and released her own solo album, Blessed Sky, with moderate success only in Crab Clan space. After her musical career, she would transition into the acting world and star in a number of serial shows on the Silver Fin channels. She started with the side roles of Doji Aiko in the mystery show, Nezumi Detective - Season 2, and comedy shows such as, I'm now a ronin, so..., as Yasuki Haruka. Eventually, she would earn main roles such as Kaneko in the romance, Rags to Romance, and as Kaiu Yukino in the thriller, Inferno House. It was just recently that she stepped away from the entertainment world to fulfill her duties as appointed karo to Yasuki Ayame, the governor of the Tango provinces and her twin sister.

Even with her homecoming to Nakahama City, Yasuki Umiko has not completely shed her sensibilities as a Crab Clan celebrity. She maintains her sense of fashion by following seasonal trends found on the mainland of the Green Carp and the bustling city of Aoihama, often with the aid of a temperator in the 'colder' months. Her style has her favouring full hakama-like skirts, wide-leg pants, layers, and the occasional stylish hat. Her fashion gravitates between business casual and chic, presenting herself with an air of elegance but radiating an approachable warmth. She takes her new role seriously, often attentive to each social interaction and paying delicate attention to all important matters.

[Yasuki Kaito]

Yasuki Kaito is a direct cousin to Yasuki Ayame and Yasuki Umiko, his family has been reasonably close with the ruling family, with his father being the brother of the previous governor of the Tango Province. He was born and raised on the neighbouring Gakko Island, where the Yasuki Courtier Radiant Scale Dojo was founded. His schooling kept him home on Gakko Island, and he graduated to serve his rather brief required military service at Shiro Ei to work in media and propaganda. His duties would later take him around the Emerald Empire in space as a streaming personality for the Silver Fin Productions intranet content. Some of his streams would take him to places such as the World of Dreams, New Kalani, Shinjo's Grace and even the Spider Clan's Whispers. His early content began by highlighting the difference between worlds and those of the Crab Clan, but eventually dipped into more sensational and controversial streams for attention. More than 5 years ago, there was an incident that ousted him from Whispers. Since then, he had remained on the Green Carp and recently surfaced after his promotion to co-executive producer for the island-based channel, Silver Fin Chill.

Kaito dresses in a very loosely casual manner, eschewing the desire to wear formal or stuffy suits that are favoured by business Yasuki and corporate organizations. He wears relaxing layers with short sleeves whenever possible, sometimes sporting gaudy patterns that attract attention. There is a certain sure confidence he possesses, coupled with his handsome good looks, that could have made him attractive but it is tarnished by the obvious arrogance in personality.

[Kuni Junpei]

Kuni Junpei was recently appointed to the position of head Clan magistrate to Shiawase Island, replacing the previous Clan magistrate, Kuni Asataka. Previously, Junpei had served as Kuni Asataka's student and assistant almost a decade ago. Junpei and his sensei parted ways when Asataka accepted the more stable appointment of Clan magistrate on the island. Meanwhile, Junpei continued his duties as a travelling witch hunter, roaming to different parts of the Emerald Empire to pursue both maho tsukai and keep tabs on criminal elements who might prove a threat to the Crab Clan. Junpei's appointment was recent and admittedly quite sudden, as his near-senior sensei had become a fixture in the community during his tenure. The locals are still unused to this witch hunter, at the moment.

The Kuni witch hunter magistrate dresses professionally whenever possible, favouring formal wear with blazers and long coats. Despite having served on Shiawase Island very briefly, he does find himself at odds with his usual attire and the tropical weather. While new to his role as Clan Magistrate, he seems to have taken to the role easily when it comes to handling his interactions with professionalism, although he maintains dealings at arm's length with a bit of traditional Kuni caution.

[Hiruma Akiro]

Hiruma Akiro is the model of an up and coming young Crab officer in the modern Crab army. He excelled in schooling from a young age, and attended officer's candidate school. There, he learned both the principles of modern warfare, as well as scholarship and statecraft. In his mid to late teenage years, he was sent out of Crab lands to further broaden his horizons, studying with both Crane and Phoenix as part of an officer exchange program before returning home to Crab lands.

Now, with the rank of Chui, he has returned to his familial home to assist the governor in her latest endeavor. With his mix of courtly experience and military training, it is almost certain he can be of some use, and many are watching his career with great interest.

Akiro is a handsome young man, who dresses in a modern formal courtly manner, albeit with military trappings, such as his sword. His clothing is always clean and crisp, and his hair is done neatly, both stylish and regulation. Despite his courtly training, he can tend towards the stiff, with the soldiers under his command sometimes commenting that if he loses his sword, he always has a backup weapon in the form of the stick up his... nevermind.

[Hiruma Akito]

It is difficult to talk about Akito without comparing him to his older brother, Akiro. That's part of the problem with being the second son. And unfortunately for Akito, Akiro's star has always shined just a little bit brighter. Part of that is that while his older brother has drive and willpower, Akito has more creativity and imagination. While that has given him a great many interests, he has become a master of none.

Unlike Akiro, Akito did not become an officer. Instead, he served in the Crab navy. It is his one distinction over his brother that he has actually seen combat. He is currently between deployments, and is back home helping his parents to manage affairs.

Like his older brother, Akito is also a handsome young man (often with a sword, but not always!); while his clothing may be a touch more rumpled, and his shave may leave a hint of stubble, he makes up for it with a little stirring of rakish charm. His sharp wit and easy banter make him a popular party guest... although he usually can't earn an invitation on his own merits.

[Kuni Sumie]

Sumie was part of the Crab Clan talent exchange program for a while. This put her in different parts of the galaxy to lend her skills to aid others and also learn from potential allies of the Clan to potentially build bridges to goodwill. While she had never shown any promise to her mission's purpose, it has at least brought her to many unlikely places. After the World of Dreams, she had returned 'home' recently to Crab Clan space to be reassigned and reassessed, which coincided with her reinstatement to the Green Carp Living Role Playing Society. Her reinstatement came as a surprise, especially considering she had been previously banned for violating the combat rules and unwelcome by much of the community. She had been assigned to provide backup on medical aid on Shiawase Island, something she may do depending on her mood.

She grows herbs in her closet, makes alcohol in the showers, plays children's card games to invoke the misery of others, and occasionally LARPs. With all of these things combined, she gave herself the moniker of 'Doctor Badass'. Doctor Badass is on the lean with an assortment of scale-like tattoos adorning both her arms and joining at the back. She is typically seen dressed in her medic jumpsuit uniform (which she will only claim as being worn ironically) loosely to taste. Her long brown hair is done in whatever fashion she deems as 'edgy' and she has an assortment of piercings on her ears.

[Yasuki Nagisa]

Yasuki Nagisa is the captain of the Carp's Caprice, an old Crab Clan Naginata-class battleship that has survived for many long decades of service and the command of many officers. The Carp's Caprice was destined for retirement but had been renewed into service as an armed transport freighter. The Carp's Caprice shipping routes bring Nagisa and her crew to many parts of the Empire, transporting produce and goods from the Green Carp to their buyers. At times, the Carp's Caprice ferries the occasional passenger.

The commander often dresses in the ceremonial style of a Navy officer, a formal uniform with a shoulder cape and frill trims, something she seems to enjoy despite the utilitarian nature of her duties. She is rather well-travelled and often keeps an open mind with everyone she meets, all while seeming to find some amusement in the smallest things. There are a number of nautical-themed tattoos on her forearms.
