Nakahama

Hello everyone!

Soooo...the situation at the Temple of Light, Yasuki Umiko, and Yasuki Nagisa has super escalated, and we find ourselves in the climax of that story arc! I'm looking to have this situation resolved with good, old-fashioned, and deadly L5R combat!

I know there are some scenes and plots ongoing, but with hand-waving for the sake of time, I'm fine to involve able-bodied individuals in the combat. Preferably, someone with a connection to the characters involved, but we can say a friend of a friend was called. Some NPCs*** could be potentially called.

*** Yes, I'm aware that with the garrison nearby, we could very realistically call Crab Clan Special Forces, but where's the fun in that?

So, I'm opening the thread here for people to offer their skills and volunteer. A final team of 5 will hopefully step forward by tonight when I get home (in approximately 5-6 hours).

Finally, I'm willing to grant Clue Points in the same manner as I did in Shadows. Every group of investigators (I will have the final say if it is double-dipping) will contribute one point, which can be used as communal Void Points for the combat group. There will be a cap to this.

I can already think of some groups that qualify.

I’m potentially interested. Slightly squishy but can heal, recharge your gun, and lash whips of fire around.

I do have Soft Hearted but also lots of void points?

I volunteer! Though I will not be fully available for another 5 hours. Hinata is very much the Scorpion's "Muscle". Harbinger means I can also nerf enemies by spending void so that's a good use for clue points I think!

Also some fun parallels with one tattooed lady pirate going after another. Nega-Nagisa is just the richer and more successful Ochiba!

The greatest blow to Nagisa was not the Hinata/Ochiba double ultra overhead combo, but the fact Ochiba is currently seeing a nice Kaiu gentleman and so is available only for blasting.

Kanna has already been in fights, so I will be sitting out to let those who haven't had a chance yet get their turn.

But totally available for healing afterwards.

Part of me is 'okay, it is very narratively fitting for Ichitaiyo to confront the second narrative arc she has faced while on Nakahama', other part is 'her bony earth 2 ass is gonna get one-shot by a mook'.

I think I will have Ichitaiyo have a Kanna-like position by staying behind lines. Maybe watching the guard or something

The concert thread with Umiko was going to lead to Kiyoshi's involvement, one way or another.

I've been in one so I'll put my name in if you don't find five other people.

I have the skills and a rifle but soft hearted makes the job harder.

Would be interested, although I'll need some ghosting tomorrow depending on when the action happens.

Will be more widely available on Thursday as I'll be working from home for a change!

Itsuka should be at least half decent in a fight, with SAA and bonuses from Utaku techniques.

She's *not* good at investigating stuff though XD

Just an FYI. Will be a bit less active during the daytime (EST), but rounds will speed up a little more at night time (EST). Ghosting instructions are recommended

I'll try to stay up. But, I should go to sleep soon.

Kiyoshi isn't soft hearted, but he doesn't have any spells intended for causing damage.

So, he'd mostly be healing and possibly buffing.

He coukd summon an animal spirit, too. But, that doesn't mean it would fight.

Gotta go to sleep soon as well, since I need to be up and about in less than 6 hours.

Much as I'd like to participate I'm not sure I'll be able to leave ghosting instructions before some 14 hours from now. As I said, will be around much more on Thursday, but that may be too late.

So... if others are in better place to participate, please go ahead!
