[D9 LM] Let me sea your food

Post by Yoritomo Yakura »

Yakura came up to the Crabkaku hostess, and smiled a very sharklike smile. "Hello there, I1d like to speak with your manager. I'm interested in placing a rather large order for the next cople of days, and I might also be in need of your chef's expertise."

She flashed a smile, and took a whiff.

Smells tasty. Maybe too buttery though.

Now that she was beyond opening week, Honoka usually only came down to Crabkaku in the later half of the day when business was at it's busiest. However, after her conversation yesterday she was feeling anxious. There was so much she wanted to know but didn't. Which meant she needed some kind of comfort, something familiar. Checking in with the staff she bounces around the establishment much of this early morning affair. Making sure everything is ordered and in place for the day's commerce.

It was in this buzzing around the establishment that Honoka didn't need to be gathered, as she herself overheard Yakura at the front. Stepping over toward her she gave the hostess a wave to acknowledge her presence, which the woman found a little out of the ordinary but brushed it off. Then waved down another one of her employee's, a server, to assist her.

"Good morning, Yoritomo Yakura-san! We don't normally do catering, but an exception can surely be made," she says, keeping the energy flowing. As the server signaled before approaches she says to him, "Please bring me the chef, I am certain they will know best hot to facilitate Yoritomo Yakura-san," she says with a pleasant smile, and then turns back to Yakura.

Yakura smiled widely. "Wonderful, wonderful. Yasuki Umiko-sama spoke greatly of your establishment and your person. And based on the little I see, I agree with her." She waited for the chef to arrive. "I have managed to acquire some...deep delicacies and a shark over the last few days, and I would like to prepare them for a banquet a couple days from now. However, my staff is not as well versed in such matters, and I was hoping your staff might be able to help. Besides those dishes, I would also like to order some additional foodstuffs to complement these dishes." She spread her hands. "I trust in your expertise Yasuki-sama."

Hearing Umiko's name sparks a bit of reaction within her, a gentle smile with her eyes setting with determination. Acknowledging the praise the mention of her name was only after. That smile not fading, but shifting as she bows in appreciation, "Thank you for saying so, Yoritomo Yakura-san. Your impressions are well received, and appreciated. Now these food items are well known to everyone here, and as my restaurant is newly opened the cooking staff is well versed in their preparation. They are not highlighted menu items by far but they do appear! So, making use of that fish will be quite possible I'm sure."

"Though.. yes, I do not know if I would claim to be the expert. But my.." she looks over her shoulder, and see's a woman approaching. This heimen woman is in her forty's approximately, and has the look of an ex-sailor. Wearing the head chefs outfit with pride she pays due deference to the samurai present. "Ah! Akiko here is the real expert. I am just the woman who can allow her the opportunity to shine."
