[Day 9 - Late Evening] RP Thread: Arcade Action Affair!

[Boogiepop]

The arcade on the upper floor of Gacha Umi are packed with people in a digital jungle filled a cacophony of sounds! Some areas have people moving shoulder to shoulder as they either wait their turn on one of the popular machines or merely want to watch some of the local champions duke it out! The climate controls seem to barely keep up as it still proves to be hot here, being either using their personal fans or temperators to keep cool. Nobody seems to be complaining though, especially during the quest for more tickets!

Emerging from the gaming floor, Kisha looks for a place from which to watch proceedings.

Kazushi pops a candy in his mouth as he heads off to the sidelines to rejoin Katsumi and Kurumi, only to find Kisha there, as well.

"Greetings, Miya-san. You seem to have been quite successful indeed!"

And Sumie was around! At first, she found herself a bit out of place here, in some arcade parlour in the middle of Lower Nakahama City, atop a gachapon place! Ugh, lame! This place just totally reeked of 'mainstream' and catering to the 'normals'. She was pretty sure that more than half of these people weren't even gamers, but probably just corporate samurai who probably looked at an arcade cabinet once in the middle of a team building get together and thought that 'could be fun'. Besides! The real gaming happened in underground seedy places where banned games were played, like Maho Kombat, where there was an obscene amount of gore and limbs being ripped out! And spiked pits!

Still, she supposed there were some souls here who could have their evening ruined by a real gamer.

At the end of the evening, Shiwahime was walking around with rolls of ticket under her cyberarm...FULL ROLLS of the things!

The advantage of breaking the strength machine is that the technicians could just give you those to save time.

For a while she just looked at the prize pool with a face that said The fuck am I doing to do with that...or that...hmmm ten 24 packs of beer sound nice but excessive

She spotted a figure she recognized?

She seemed like a edgelord but, in her current good mood, she was ready to let go of her impressions

Having had her fun the Unicorn goes and cashes in her tickets on....some really random crap. And their is more then a little mischief in Suh-Hyun's eyes as she lugs this haul around.

Sumie blinked when someone decided to speak to her at this event. She could have kept on going and ignore them without a second thought. It was admittedly hard to do that when this person was practically a foot over you, however. She gave her a blink and spoke in a hushed tone. "I'm so over being Lady Beatorius. So over Edge of Darkness, ugh, that game is totally mainstream now. Lame! The worst! And hello? I didn't plan it, it was the Silver Fin Productions and that guy. Last time I have an alliance with corpos. I was there just to do a thing and I failed, now the game sucks. Go next."

Sumie blinked when someone decided to speak to her at this event. She could have kept on going and ignore them without a second thought. Shiwahime was not a social butterfly...People usually considered her rude, awkward or intimidating and acted in kind. A curious side effect of this is when someone actually tried to be mean or act though...they were just her normal fare.

Which meant that, try as she might, Sumie could not be rude enough to keep the Moto of her ass. A karmic checkmate, of sorts.

''Ah! Don't sell yourself short: Silver Fin and whoever 'That Guy' is wouldn't have made such an event without your participation. It didn't pan out like you planned but, hey, that's rpgs right? It's always a gamble when the dice rolls!''

She waved a hand dismissing the event as a failure

''Hey, great antagonists are what make stories interesting. Your character's return did stir things up, kept things from getting stale and I think that's a success for the story overall. I'm Moto Shiwahime, by the by.''

Sumie narrowed her eyes, not looking impressed in the slightest by the compliments to her character or her role in the story. She sighed and crossed her arms. "Just do you know, I have like no points to give out to you and absolutely no story threads going on at the moment. My arc is pretty much done. Well, other than owning noobs and casuals, I guess. Maybe. I'm kind of an agent of chaos. Name's Doctor Badass, because I'm kind of a badass and kind of doctor'ed a lot around the Empire. Banned from sex parties by normals. Uninvited from mom parties. Half-machine Spiders don't call me back. Kind of seen it all."

Taraka was certainly having fun at the event. The only thing that would make it more fun was more company. Scanning around the floor there were a lot of people enjoying themselves, but the one who really stuck out was the Shinjo carting around quite the bounty.

"Evening Shinjo-san." she said with a bow. "It looks like you've had quite an evening."

"Part of work is exploring different types of game play to see how to incorporate them to a new game." The Ikoma didn't look back she was focused on the button mashing playing Double Ryu. "Wanna try it... it is two player... it isn't difficult to play."

"Points, capital, or whatever is used in this whole bidding process," she gave a shrug and looked around to the other Crab in the arcade, as if indicating that they had lame things like a business, a career, and money. Really stuffy boring things. "My name travels quite a bit. I've been to the Crystal Tower in Unicorn space, Kyuden Sango in New Kalani, the World of Dreams, a lot of people's mom's house but they don't know it...So you know, a lot of places."

''I've been to New Kalani in the last year or so, that might be where I caught your nickname.'' She had the impression that was about a unicorn...and cheesecake? She could not remember what dessert had to do with anything.

''Still, impressive travelling. What place did you enjoy better? Is Nakahama your home turf?''

Kisha is about to respond when Kazushi directs his attention towards Nonoko, so she simply nods and continues to watch. It's the right thing to do, after all, with her having been distracted.
