(Closed) Sharks, and their consequences [Day 8 LE]

[Yoritomo Ochiba]

"This...was a wonderful idea."
Ochiba is nearly purring as she sits in the heated stone room, an elderly masseuse heimin masseuse slowly working out the various knots that have accumulated over a week of shooting various things and hunting sharks (all in all, a near perfect holiday.)

"I can feel the tension just..mmmmhm."
She turns her head to he masseuse.
"Hey, have you ever considered doing some work aboard a ship?"
The other lady demures with a smile and quiet shake of her head.

"Well either way, this is divine. I think in-between crashing the car all those times and the sharks I forgot how important self-care was. I saw you took a ship out too, right? How'd you go?"

Ryosei also relaxed back sighing with relief as the tensions of his time were rubbed and pressed and massaged away. He smiled happily as the heimen worked his aching muscles.

Ryo regarded Ochiba for an second "went swimmingly, happened to catch myself three great sharks. Speared one right through the eye. It was intense, one almost took a huge chunk out of the boat, hell one almost got me. But in the end I hauled in a good amount for the day."

Ryosei also relaxed back sighing with relief as the tensions of his time were rubbed and pressed and massaged away. He smiled happily as the heimen worked his aching muscles.

The Mantis frantically searches Ryosei's face for a sign he's merely shark jesting, as one does.

She saw no signs of jest nor falsehood but rather a sort of abashed humility in the way her reaction drew a small blush to his cheeks.

Ryosei had rarely ever been someone prone to bragging, he smiled a little sheepish "Uh yeah managed to bag three great sharks. I didn't know much about sailing, I got a little lucky there but the harpoon gun we were given on our ship was similar to siege weapons we trained with in dojo. So I was actually pretty accurate with it and a lot of hunting those guys is strategy. Heart pounding, dangerous strategy but strategy none the less."

The mantis pauses then bites her lower lip, there’s the sound of air being sucked in.

“We’re gonna need to talk about that later. That’s…”
The masseuse leans down and whispers something and Ochiba snorts.
“Oh yeah, he is, right? And he’s humble about it.”

Shaking her head
“If I killed three great sharks I don’t think the island would ever hear the end of it. Instead I only got a little pair and a light mauling. You’re kind of a badass.”

Still smiling
“A nerdy badass. Never thought I’d be outsharked. Do you have any other secret skills? Are you also a weightlifting fortune or a jujitsu champion?”

“So you… yourself actually hunted three great shark?”
The mantis pauses then bites her lower lip, there’s the sound of air being sucked in.

“We’re gonna need to talk about that later. That’s…”
The masseuse leans down and whispers something and Ochiba snorts.
“Oh yeah, he is, right? And he’s humble about it.”

Shaking her head
“If I killed three great sharks I don’t think the island would ever hear the end of it. Instead I only got a little pair and a light mauling. You’re kind of a badass.”

Still smiling
“A nerdy badass. Never thought I’d be outsharked. Do you have any other secret skills? Are you also a weightlifting fortune or a jujitsu champion?”

He laughed a little and she could see he was still slightly embarrassed by the praise he was getting.

"No nothing like that, I mean I did compete in a few Golden Gi tournaments for jujitsu while I was in the service and I workout some but no, no fortune status is in my future I believe."

"I guess it is pretty badass. Though, I see why you would he into it. Got my heart racing better than any drug I've taken."

He laughed a little and she could see he was still slightly embarrassed by the praise he was getting.

"No nothing like that, I mean I did compete in a few Golden Gi tournaments for jujitsu while I was in the service and I workout some but no, no fortune status is in my future I believe."

"You better get used to all that praise if you're gonna keep being a badass near me, if I see something awesome I call it it. And that's absolutely awesome. And as it happens, I know a little about sailing myself, seems like a natural pairing."

"Oh, yeah that reminds me, did you hear about all that stuff yesterday? With the guy?"

"Oh there's nothing quite like it. Well, maybe one or two, but not a lot legal like it."
Winking.
"You better get used to all that praise if you're gonna keep being a badass near me, if I see something awesome I call it it. And that's absolutely awesome. And as it happens, I know a little about sailing myself, seems like a natural pairing."

Ochiba seems completely unbothered, only turning to the masseuse to request some deep tissue on her right bicep.
"Was a thing, but you. But it felt good to cut loose and frankly, he messed with the wrong people, should never have gone after Kanna-san."

"I'm glad you're ok. I swear this place has gotten insane since you visitors got here." There was relief and a hint of teasing in his voice.

Ochiba sighs happily.

Moving her hands in a gentle motion with a faint smile.
"I know you would have kicked ass with me in a movement. Things were moving fast though and we just had to book it. I'm okay, Tamori-san is okay, Kaiu-san is okay, everyone else is fine. He is dead as shit though, killed him very hard."

Ochiba sighs happily.

Her brow furrows for a moment.
"...No names are coming to mind right now, but it does happen. I think it's just a result of my energetic personality, you know I do a bit more than the average samurai, so it makes sense to think I'd get into more trouble."

She winks.
"Speaking of, I reckon we need to hit the plunge pool now we're all loose. This was actually a brilliant idea of yours, talking sharks and shootings but doing it mid-massage to stay loose."

"Hey! That is...not entirely...always accurate. I have gone to places and not gotten into trouble."
Her brow furrows for a moment.
"...No names are coming to mind right now, but it does happen. I think it's just a result of my energetic personality, you know I do a bit more than the average samurai, so it makes sense to think I'd get into more trouble."

"Speaking of, I reckon we need to hit the plunge pool now we're all loose. This was actually a brilliant idea of yours, talking sharks and shootings but doing it mid-massage to stay loose."

"To be fair I had no idea about the shootings when I made this idea. But I'll take the credit if you're giving it out." He gave her a smile.

"Pool sounds like a great move though. It's peaceful here in the private area even if it's pricey as hell. Definitely a luxury place."

The masseuse stepped back and bowed as he stood and began to move toward the pool. Sinking into the water he gave a relaxed sigh.

"To be fair I had no idea about the shootings when I made this idea. But I'll take the credit if you're giving it out." He gave her a smile.

Ochiba whispers something in her masseues ear and hands over a large coin with a wink before following, with a loud "Ohhhhh" as she relaxes into the lightly scented waters.

"I'm generous when I want to be, besides there was decent odds I'd have been up to something worth getting a massage later, right?"

As ever, the Mantis' idea of relaxing seems to involve walking slow laps of the pool rather than sitting back and waiting.
"Yeah, this place is super fancy. It's funny, I don't mind a quick half minute show when we're underway, but then all of a sudden a phenomenally expensive bath and massage seems to make all the difference planetside."

As she walks past Ryosei in the pool she lightly splashes the Crab.
"It's probably the company, right?"

Ochiba whispers something in her masseues ear and hands over a large coin with a wink before following, with a loud "Ohhhhh" as she relaxes into the lightly scented waters.

As ever, the Mantis' idea of relaxing seems to involve walking slow laps of the pool rather than sitting back and waiting.

He grinned in an amused way and more than a little warmth crept into his gaze as he studied the Mantis. He felt something in his chest while he looked at her ah shit he thought to himself but it didn't changes the expression of affection he was aiming at Ochiba in that moment.

"Oh it definitely does, I dunno. Having you around is like-"
Her face screws up in thought for a few moment as she continues walking circles.

"-Like this warm ball of...warmth? Ugggh gross, no that was way too sappy. But you're like this presence that's radiating good things, and like you'll go out and become king nerd or hunt sharks or make me breakfast rolls and it's all just warm and nice, like it's awesome? But like the kind of awesome that has your back."

A little embarrassed she looks over her shoulder at Ryosei's warmth expression.
"What?...Oh fortunes, did I fumble it?"

He enjoys this. He enjoys this a lot for a few moments. Sating his curiosity that had been tickling at his mind since he met her. His hands tighten, he pulls her closer to him, tighter against his body as their kiss deepens.

After a moment that felt like it both lasted for hours but was also infinitely too short he pulls back and looks down at the Mantis "so, how does Iba-chan sound to you?" He says with a smirk as his forehead rests against hers.
