Weather Advisory
On land, the day proves to be a sunny one without significant clouds to even threaten rain on the coast. This proves to be a different story in the jungles and in some rural parts of the island, as they see some brief drizzle, but it dissipates quickly to create some isolated showers. Hunters are still advised to hydrate whenever possible in the jungle, even with the natural humidity there.

At sea, the waters are choppy, and this is enough to stop most fishers from wandering too far from the shore for today's catch. There are some whispers among them that it could be potentially Greatshark breeding season, and they will likely be out for any sort of sustenance they can get their massive jaws on.

Some clouds gather at night when the sun fades from the sky, and some thunderous rumble is heard overhead in many parts of the island. However, despite the noise, no rain is felt on most of the island.

The commercial begins with a Rokugan in the past. The roads are cobbled, and buildings have a distinct un-Rokugani influence to them. The streets are filled with palanquins, and there is an obvious streetcar on rails pulled by horses. There is an old brown photo filter put on the scene. The camera descends down to a suited Kuni eyeing a bog hag. This bog hag is very obvious since she's constantly keeping her skin from peeling off.

Kuni: "You seem kind of strange, I can't put my finger on it..."



Bog Hag: "That's quite rude, sir! I don't have to answer to you!"

Kuni: "Oh, sorry. My apologies. Anyway, it was your turn..."

The Kuni gestures to a very anachronistic cigarette vending machine, which they seem to be lining up for, complete with neon trims and a holographic display. The bog hag turns to the machine and eyes all of the choices available, struggling to make a choice. She then presses the button for 'Jade Nights' cigarettes.

Kuni: "So I see..."

The scene then cuts to what looks like the entire populace of the street running after the bog hag, looking quite upset. They seem to be carrying tetsubo and rifles, even some of the courtiers-seeming populace carrying umbrellas and newspapers to join the fight.

Bog Hag: "Arrrrggh!"

Voice Over: "The number #1 Cigarette Brand in the Crab Clan! Prove yourself! Trust in Lucky Kogeki cigarettes!"
"Please be considerate where you are smoking. Smoking might not be allowed in your space. Lucky Kogeki does not detect taint."

Festivities looked back to the past with a race through a haunted castle, complete with hardcore crash-outs,

Sumiko isn't much of an obstacle course girl, but she was curious to see how the Crab would do these kinds of things! One thing Sumiko turned out to be extremely good at was putting together a puzzle. She wasn't in a rush but she could put the puzzle together without difficulty. Although she wanted to tell the person who created the puzzle that it looked nothing like the oni, instead she was hurried on to...behead the worst looking zombie ever. Seriously they didn't even get its fake groans right! And the dimensions were entirely off! Did the person running this even know what a zombie looked like?

Sumiko grabbed the plushie...was that supposed to be a tetsubo? And went to swing it! It flew straight past the zombie as she didn't keep hold of it, and landed outside the room. Woops

Keeping a firmer grip on the next one she swung that and left a big dent in the not-realistic zombies head! The third swing...didn't even land.

She was informed that she was eliminated and left looking a little disappointed.

None the less she prepared diligently, arriving in a blouse and skirt ensemble with a pair of over the knee flat soled boots. The top was a made up of a black jeogori with red trim and sheer sleeves, as well as a black pleated skirt with a lace overlay cropped mid thigh with a red sash tied at the waist. She had of course also worn a pair of safety shorts for, well -safety! Her curly hair was tied up in a high ponytail, with a black veil still draped from ear to ear, and secured extra carefully behind her head.`

First she stretched, taking the time to warn up and methodically prepare for whatever obstacles awaited...

She had a reputation for being good at the game, even more so as a means to draw some attention to her. While she didn't have a strong showing this time around, she made sure to stay active in the game to still garner those eyes on her.

Hiroki had cleaned up after his mudbath in Tsuneo's Shiro and was still extremely pumped up for the Oshidama. It being his favourite sport to actually play.

He wore a powder blue speedo, basically string and triangles, with an asymmetric sash around his waist for style, remaining shirtless, as is traditional for Beach Oshidama.

It soon became apparent that not only was this his favourite sport, he was actually fairly good at it. Often sharing a high five, . . . well high for him, with his partner, Bayushi Hinata.

Hinata was no stranger to Oshidama... in fact... he was clearly good at it for the most part! Striding atop the sands in crimson and black trunks, a set of string collars hanging from his neck drawing attention to his- Oh sweet kami he's not wearing a shirt! Everyone is far too distracted by the gratuitous display of midriff to notice his mask hanging mnow from his hip.

He contributes enthusiastically to the competition, riling up the audience to cheer them on to victory. Every offer of a high five is first met with shock, then energetic participation.

Despite the rumbling happening outside from the heavens being worked up and threatening a looming storm. Yasuki Haruto, elder librarian of the Way, remained at the Temple of Light. His performance at today's service was passable by his standards. His mastery of the dead gaijin language was shaky, at best, considering he would only truly practice it during the religious service. The heimen seemed to appreciate his efforts, but only because they did not know better. While the message was clear, it was no reason for the Yasuki to be sloppy with his devotions.

Haruto still needed to improve on his pitch and the harmony of his hymn. He would continue to play the same tune on the synthesizer from this morning's service and practice on his own in the empty assembly hall. Earlier in the day, the room was bathed in daylight, now it was only lit with a few old lights overhead.

A door would open into the room, and the music came to an abrupt stop as Haruto stopped practicing and looked up to see the temple's guest at this hour. He would look surprised at first, but his gentle features would slowly form a welcoming smile before dipping his head in a low bow. "...It's been a while, I'm glad to see you back here, elder sister..."

Umiko stepped into the room with some reservations in her expression.
