He had messaged Ichitaiyo a time and a place. He was always early to engagements like these and he had acquired a private room for the meal, a sense of privacy was always appreciated on his end. Besides the conversation certainly had the chance to go into territory that might be best shielded from prying ears.

He was in a fancier dress but not all out, a pair of nice slacks and a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a nice watch adorned one wrist and a few rings across his fingers. A jade pendent hung around his neck and was just visible through the two unbuttoned buttons toward his throat.

He had already been seated and had water poured for both of them.

Ichitaiyo had matched the energy. Halfway. With a bold red two piece with an open blouse and no jewelry, she have a short bow of greeting and sat opposite of the man.

"You are certainly desiring to impress, don't you, Kaiu-san?" She greeted with a gentle smirk.

He returned the bow, rising as she entered the room "Well I could say the same of you Kitsuki-san. Red favors you, though from what I've seen few colors don't." He said as he motioned to the spot across from him and moved to sit once more.

He regarded her more closely as they settled in "So how has the island been treating you? I hope you're not kept too busy."

"It is an amazing place, but being busy has been my first order of the day for every moment. Ii have to study so much for all these events that the governance has prepared. I have.. plenty of things of importance riding on me."

Ichitaiyo took the little compliment with a gentle chuckle as she sat. Despite her youth, there were stress lines according of somebody who kept themselves busy at all times with duty, not quite like a soldier that faces action, but still..

"It is an amazing place, but being busy has been my first order of the day for every moment. Ii have to study so much for all these events that the governance has prepared. I have.. plenty of things of importance riding on me."

That elicited a curious raise of the eyebrow "Well I suppose you are here on work but I wasn't aware this was such a....focused effort for the dragon. You have a lot riding on the outcome here?"

Now he tilted his head, interested. "Wow well I'm glad our little slice of space got you so interested. Though I have to ask, for one so well travelled as yourself what makes you want to stay here? This place seems pretty, I don't know, bland compared to some of the other worlds you've talked about."

"Safe, beautiful beaches, beautiful people, peaceful.. sure it is not bustling with energy like Wonders, but damn if the slow pace is... soothing. Almost healing."

"I understand your points though. I hope whatever you have planned works out and please let me know if I can help. I don't know you well but I would not like to see you go ronin if it can be helped."

You are very diligent and skilled a clan would be lucky to gain you. I wouldn't presume your interest in such an offer only meeting me twice." He cleared his throat centering himself.

"I understand your points though. I hope whatever you have planned works out and please let me know if I can help. I don't know you well but I would not like to see you go ronin if it can be helped."

Ichitaiyo smiled and set her hands together. "I will have it in mind, Kaiu-san. And likewise, if there is something an Investigator can aid you with, feel free to request as you need from me."

"I can't imagine what I'd need that for. Most of my pursuits these days are purely scholarly or business but I guess if I think someone stole my secret plans I'll reach out to you." He says with a chuckle.

"So what will you be doing here? If you stay that is? Or does that depend on how whatever scheme you have works out?"

"I can't imagine what I'd need that for. Most of my pursuits these days are purely scholarly or business but I guess if I think someone stole my secret plans I'll reach out to you." He says with a chuckle.

"So what will you be doing here? If you stay that is? Or does that depend on how whatever scheme you have works out?"

"That'll depend on the scheme.. But I hope to end in some kind of security position, or maybe be on lease with the Magistry, or be some kind of private sleuth." Ichitaiyo replied, humming about the would be future. She leant on a hand and peered into the man. "How about you? What is your plan for the future?"
