The Jade Chef contest is over, and Agasha Sorato is fresh from toasting the successful efforts of his heimin kitchen team... and toasting... and toasting... gosh, the back of house crew can really drink. Like really-really. The lanky Phoenix is now weaving slightly on his path as he rambles across the brown, lightly litter-strewn sands of the public beach fronting the lower city. A sake bottle, about half full, is tucked forgotten under one arm; the other hand holds one of the famous custard stuffed 10-zeni coin pastries, bought from a waterfront stall (he'd probably overpaid).

Sorato is humming to himself, not entirely tunefully. The bright artificial lighting along the waterfront throws his long, wobbly shadow down toward the dark sparkling wavelets of Nakahama bay.

There would be another figure busy nearby, one who was quite happy to switch gears after the Jade Chef challenge. She was quite sober, however, and ready to pay a debt from this morning.

She had a jog to do

Not the place where she'd do it normally but a change of scenery might not be too bad.

Training apparel on with the usual packback, the unicorn came from the front, easily spotting the wobbly phoenix

''Agasha-sama?'' she asked, slowing down, curious and perhaps concerned ''Good evening...you look like the road you walk on is trying to get away from your feet''

[Agasha Sorato]

"Oh... h'lo." Sorato weaves to a stop and bows in a loose-limbed sort of way, not quite like his usual style. "All good here. It's sand, not a road."

[Moto Shiwahime]

Shiwahime tilted her head, evaluating the man. She had seen worse but most were Moto, not Agasha.

But hey! He was a happy drunk at least.

She bowed back

"Seems you were quite generous with the kitchen staff." She said with a smile

[Agasha Sorato]

"They were so generous! They did a-maze-ing," he drawls contentedly. "Amaze-ing work. Best meal I've had all year." He takes a bite of his Ten-Zeni cake, licking red bean custard off his lower lip.

" 'm sure yours was good too," he adds kindly, after swallowing.

[Moto Shiwahime]

"I am surprised you are still hungry then" she gave a shrug "I guess you need something ton pass the alcool...though I suggest drinking plenty of water"

Ah...her dishes

"The staff did a great job with my ideas. A shame the judges did not like spicy foods"

[Agasha Sorato]

"Oh, well. There only were... two? three? plates of each. And the judges had to share. Not 'nough to fill up on." He nods solemnly and flourishes his snack. "This's good too. You tried these?"

"Judging these things has to be soooo strange, though, right?" He chuckles to himself at the thought, shuffling a few steps further through the sand in the direction of the water. "One bite of fifty different things. Some of them sounded... bad! And some were great! But y'have to eat the bad ones too."

She gave a nods, eyeing the waters carefully. He...certainly was in no condition to swim

''Yeah...and, I mean, when you find something you like...how can you not finish the meal?''

[Agasha Sorato]

"Exactly! I would!" Sorato nods emphatically, in the course of which his sake bottle slips out from its forgotten position tucked under his arm and lands with a soft thump in the sand. "Oh, huh. Forgot I had that."

[Moto Shiwahime]

''Maaaaaybe it is a sign you should lose it for the time being.'' she pointed out ''Do you need help getting home?''

[Agasha Sorato]

"Mustn't litter," Sorato says gravely. He crouches down to pick up the dropped bottle with exaggerated care for his balance. "Bad guest b'havior."

"No, it's fine! I can take a cab. When 'm ready!"

[Moto Shiwahime]

''You look very much ready already bud. You are drunk'' she stated before wondering if she was too brunt ''No offense, but yeah.''

She looked at the time

''It's getting late and I don't think the sea is safe''

"Of course I am," Sorato says kindly, perhaps a bit incredulous that it's taken Shiwahime this long to notice. He thought it was pretty obvious! "Crab cooks have lie... livers of steel, really they do. Pure hubris to think I c'd keep up. People say that's a Phoenix thing... eh?" he laughs, brushing the sand off his sake bottle.

"You... you are very protective, Moto-san. 'M doused in sake, not shark firm...fir... pheromones. The sea won't pounce on me..."

[Moto Shiwahime]

''Hubris heh? Well let's use this as a teachable moment...And yes I am protective. It's not the first time I see a man in his cups, though it's usually a fellow squad member, so I know that the bottle can lead to...unwise...behavior''

She had stronger words to use but they were not warranted.

[Agasha Sorato]

"It is! I learned a thing about Crab and their livers." He chuckles happily. "Don't... mistake me, Moto-san. This's not, um, my usual thing. Novel activity! Rude not to keep up when they'd done me such a huuuuge favor, you see. I owed those cooks." He gestures with the bottle by way of illustration. "At formal banquets, whatever, Earth kami will take away the buzz if you ask 'em. In this case that didn't seem brotherly, you know."
