(Expecting) Crabflix and Chill [Day 5, ME - Ochiba's place]

[Yoritomo Ochiba]

Ochiba, dressed unusually in what can only be described as 'normal clothes people actually wear' (aka sweats and a t-shirt reading 'I've climbed the greatest hills in Nakahama') rubbs her hands together in glee as the microwave dings and the smell of popcorn fills the kitchen.

Oh yeah, some melted butter....salt...chili oil for dipping. This was more like it.

Carrying her prize back to the massive couch in the center of the lounge she grabbed a remote and flicked on the huge widescreen, flicking through the channels.

If her sense of timing was right then her guest should be arriving any moment now.

Yakura's ding-dong, the bitch is here, was exactly on point.

Which was weird, she's not always punctual. Wearing a loose blouse and trousers and wedge sandals, the Other Mantis arrived, bearing gifts. A bottle of nice sake....and a giant fucking sake cup. It's width was as large as her elbow. "Look what I found and thought of you!" She yelled excitedly.

Yakura's ding-dong, the bitch is here, was exactly on point.

Which was weird, she's not always punctual. Wearing a loose blouse and trousers and wedge sandals, the Other Mantis arrived, bearing gifts. A bottle of nice sake....and a giant fucking sake cup. It's width was as large as her elbow. "Look what I found and thought of you!" She yelled excitedly.

Ochiba had slid the door open and before should could say anything Yakura had presented the giga-cup Ochiba proclaimed as-

"That's the coolest thing in the world, you're the best and I want to drink out of that so badly right now."
She gives the Mantis a polite but informal nod before standing aside to usher her into the penthouse.

"It's been a pretty wild day so a giant cup of sake, you and some terribly romcoms...oh yeah, this is gonna be an evening and a half."

Ochiba had slid the door open and before should could say anything Yakura had presented the giga-cup Ochiba proclaimed as-

"That's the coolest thing in the world, you're the best and I want to drink out of that so badly right now."
She gives the Mantis a polite but informal nod before standing aside to usher her into the penthouse.

"It's been a pretty wild day so a giant cup of sake, you and some terribly romcoms...oh yeah, this is gonna be an evening and a half."

"See, I know what you like? Here, take this monstrosity, and let me open up the bottle." She sniffed into the air. "Oooooh, melted butter, my favorite. What are we watching?" Her brows furrowed in concern. "..is everything okay O-chan?"

"Any Mantis worth their salt would go for a giant cup."
Ochiba heads over to the room before making a show of jumping up on the couch and holding out the giga cup ceremonially.
"Fill'er up, you even got the good stuff."

Blinking and then grinning at the last question with a shake of her head.
"Oh nah, it was a good day actually, fought a giant lizard...got some photos of it somewhere. And did sailing and beaching, got some weird seafood too. No it was just like...a lot. I don't usually get tired out but I think I might actually be.

Which is why we're watching bad crab romcoms! First up 'Hiruma wants a wife' "

"Where were you with giant lizards? Did you siege a menagerie?!" She asked in surprise, and started pouring into the cup.

And pouring.

And pouring.

And some more.

Yakura did make sure O did not waver with the cup. That spilling would be annoying. "TIred eh? Then I hope you're ready for my yammering and stuff. Now where can I find a cup for myself?"

"You know, maybe this should be my new workout, I'm really feeling the burn."
Glancing up when Yakura finished.
"Wait, we're not sharing this? Damn, you really came prepared, you could drown half the samurai I've met today in here."

She can't waggle her arms so she demonstrates with two kicks.

"Oh, double dragon kick, I know that move. Saw it in a movie once." She laughed. "Oh, you're willing to share? Wasn1t sure if you would hog it all to yourself." She sat down next to O-chan, and started drinking from the MegaCup. "Mmmm,tasty. Well, not all samurai can handle booze like a Mantis can. Most can't. It's what makes us strong!" Meanwhile the show has now switched to the eligible young bachelorettes who will be meeting with the Hiruma, a mix of city focused Yasuki, a couple military Hida, one or two other Hiruma, one a professional hunter the other in the navy and a lone Toritaka who was pretty sure the Hiruma's estate was haunted.

"I don't know if that Toritaka has too much eyeshadow, or is just the perfect amount of crazy. The Yasuki do love their low cut tops. And I am pretty sure the Hida are looking for more shoreleave than actual marriage."

Ochiba cranes her neck to continue downing sake but otherwise seems fairly content with the giant cup safely ensconced.

"Soooo who do you think he's gonna go for? I reckon one of the Yasuki, for the contrast. And she'll end up making the estate profitable again."

"Oh know, I am not disturbing The Cup." She said with a serious face. "Besides, no offense, but I think you would rather be hugging someone else then, me, no?" She stuck our her tongue in reply.
