The seas surrounding Shiawase Island, by reputation, present themselves as a lovely blue. At times, it can appear almost as a crisp turquoise during the day. The waves are usually calm, but they can be surprisingly choppy further away from land. Those inexperienced with the temperament of the Green Carp's oceans can be blinded by how powerful the waves can be, especially during storm season. While travel by sea is popular on the Green Carp, the preferred means of travel is by flight.
Shiawase Island finds itself surrounded by a few islets. Some islets host thick crops of jungle, but most are rocky and offer little in terms of accessibility. The most famous of these islets is Osano Wo's Eye, which is an atoll far from the main island that hosts a clear water lagoon full of coral and small crustaceans.
While the Crab vigilantly patrol the oceans for any threats that might make their way to the beaches, the water beyond the coast of Shiawase Island is far from secure.
