[Day 4 - Early Afternoon] RP Thread: Fan Con

[Boogiepop]

The con filled the many floors of the observation tower with excited fans, both local and from other systems. Typically, Fan Cons find themselves hosted in large convention centres and malls capable of hosting all of the vendors and activity booths. The Hanei Tower isn't a comparable or ideal venue, but that didn't stop the con from surpassing expected numbers of attendance at Nakahama City. Just be prepared to climb stairs or wait for elevators.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Kiyoshi and the Detective sat at an autograph table. They had a small assortment of merchandise available, posters, toys, and spinoff manga. The Kitsune hadn't done much advance promotion for the appearance, as there were no Detective or concert related announcements to make. But, he enjoyed these cons, as a guest and a fan.

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Oh you'll find the Gumbai tournament down and to the left! Next tournament start is in 15 minutes, so hurry and you can be the next great winner! Have a wonderful time!"

After being thanked for her latest set of helping, Sumiko walked through once again. While she hadn't gone full cosplay like many other, she had dressed up a little at least which looked funny with her volunteer badge and t-shirt. Taking a quick break to drink from her water bottle, she looked to see if any others needed help.

[Shinjo Suh-Hyun]

The Great Horse, General of the Vermilion Bird's Spirit Army, Seventh of the Twelve Beast Lords, Archenemies of the Starlight Miko Crusaders, and Flamboyant Owner of a karaoke bar under her disguised identity of Mima, milled about in the con area and hummed happily to herself.

She carried an ever filling bag...or two...or three, of swag as she moved about.

[Miya Kisha]

Badge pinned on, fan tucked into an obi, and t-shirt folded away somewhere convenient, Miya Kisha makes her way through the crowds, taking pictures, talking to people, and generally having a decent time of all the content-making.

[Yasuki Taraka]

Doji Yayoi had done her stint volunteering, she'd gotten her swag, now it was just time for her to kick back and relax a bit.

Idly she'd pluck on a Koto string from time to time, seeing who's attention she gathered.

[Tamori Kanna]

Cardcaptor Kanna

The princess-magical-girl with her magical companion approached Suh-Huyn, with a poor assistant trailing behind her carrying all the loot.

"Oh wow, you sure like games, Shinjo-san!" Kanna exclaimed in delight. "Which clan and era do you play in Gumbai?"

[Shinjo Suh-Hyun]

The bag ladened Shinjo smiled at the appearance of the magical girl, "Ah! Tamori-san. Great costume!" She managed to dip in an awkward bow without spilling her bags. "Glad to see you again. I don't actually play Gumbai, but if did it would be the era set with planes! And Unicorn of course!" Planes in Gumbai being basically just 'airstrike markers' didn't really bother Suh-Hyun, mostly because she hadn't read the rules and would be devastated to earn that fact.

"I got a few boardgames, Space Colonist and Explorer. I've played Space Colonist but Explorer looks real neat. Oh and check out this! A real printed copy of that indie RPG Javeliner, I thought it only came on the densai!"

[Agasha Sorato]

After his escape from the Enigma Room, Agasha Sorato is a little more rumpled than when he'd gone in. Those flesh grubs were very realistic... a little too realistic. However, in spite of that he appears cheerful with his Wateru the Water Salamander riding on his shoulder as he browses the exhibits and stalls.

Sorato is one of the lame-o masses attending the con in civilian garb rather than a cool costume, casual in a lived-in "Greetings from Starfall" t-shirt.

[Moto Shiwahime]

Shiwahime entered the floor without much fanfare to serve as the con's volunteer security. Most of her time would be to check the guests area and do some patrol in a buddy system with another volunteer

Hopefully there would be no breakout of singing Spider hooligans this time around.

[Yasuki Umiko]

And right beside Kiyoshi's table would be Yasuki Umiko's table. While she didn't typically do these sorts of appearances anymore, especially when she was no longer under contractual obligation to Silver Fin Productions. However, there were fans present and also a good share of visitors who were only here for the Con. It seemed only proper that she had some sort of showing, if to boost the popularity of the island. The least she could do, really.

Her table would be unattended at first, before retro-themed music from her solo album Blessed Sky would play to introduce her.

"Honoured guests of Fan Con, please welcome Yasuki Umiko. She is now available at table 3." The con's service announcement would say before Umiko walked out with some cheer and clapping, and she waved to a few who gathered before sitting down. She was dressed in a light blue dress for this occasion.

"Ahh! Kitsune-san, we meet again," she smiled brightly with a bow of greeting. "It looks like we'll be table neighbours today! I hope things have been well with you today."

Doji Yayoi noticed the rumpled Phoenix as he escaped the tomb. Sadly, she wouldn't have time to explore the tomb herself, so why not ask someone who had.

"Good afternoon Agasha-san. I see you managed to escape the tomb whole in body and presumably whole in mind?" she offered with a bow.

"It's gone well so far. Attendance is high and the fans are excited to be here. They'll be even more excited to see you, Yasuki-sama." He smiled.

Umiko was sure to give another delayed bow to the Detective as well.

"That's great to hear, Kitsune-san. I think the city itself feels it too," she said, giving a gesture to one of the large glass windows in the tower that provided a good view of Lower Nakahama City below. "Of course, I'm sure a majority of the fans are here to see you and the Detective. There might be more visitors than Crab in this building."

With that, she took a momentary pause to sign a serial collection of the first (and only) season of Inferno House. The show was about an engineer who came back to the same Shiro she had lived in as a child. However, her father (lord of the shiro) separated from her mother when she was held responsible for burning it down. Umiko's character would return to find answers in her former home.

Tetsu is walking the con when another elaborate costume catches his eye. "Nice work! Game recognizes game!" Tetsu bows on a set of armor that looks more practical than it should be. "Kaiu Tetsu. at your service"

[Yasuki Umiko]

He glanced at the collection. "I've never seen that one. I wonder if I could find a copy here."

"Oh, this one?" She remarked in a quick aside as she finished signing it.

"It was nice meeting you, and I hope you enjoy your time here in Nakahama City," she would tell the fan and give them a quick bow, then turn her attention to Kiyoshi.

"Ah, yes, it's one of the most recent ones that I did. I'm sure you can find a copy of it at Yuta Records. They have a section with some 'newer' products. Of course, I could also have a copy sent to you if you're busy in the city, Kitsune-san. I suppose that one isn't too different than your show, it's a mystery and a thriller. It's not particularly long, it ties itself up in just one season."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Honestly, I prefer something with a clear storyline and conclusion. My career has been defined by an ongoing serial of disconnected procedurals with no intended ending. It's been good for me. But, the Detective and his predecessors have been the meaningful part for me."

"And, the fans of course." He smiled at a young woman who handed him a collection recorded during his last tour. He signed it and the Detective placed a fingerprint beside the autograph. "Thank you so much for coming by. There should be new tour news coming soon."

It takes Sorato a couple of beats to identify this particular Doji Yayoi as the same Misfortune he'd also met at Ochiba's party last night, thanks to the costume change. "Whole in body. Mostly in mind. I can't understand how I forgot goblins have five toes, not four..." He shakes his head sheepishly.

[Yasuki Umiko]

"I suppose I could see the appeal of that. We tend to have short series in the Crab Clan because well..." She thought about it for a moment. We don't exactly know if it'll flop or not. "We have quite a demanding schedule. The Silver Fin Production tend to have more than a few ideas they want to try and an ever-rotating lineup means things are always fresh and happening! A bit different than how the Crane or Scorpion do their entertainment, and I suppose in the Kitsune too. I'm sure you got a sense of that yesterday. That said, I'm sure people get the chance to attach themselves to your characters with a longer series."

Umiko would take a moment to sign a photo. This one was of her younger years. It seemed that a particular fan was quite set on collecting all signatures of all 48 members of Aoi48 in that generation. "Oh wow, that's so amazing, you're almost finished. Thank you and best of luck," she would tell them.

"Oh, a tour now? Is the group getting back together?" She asked after taking a sip of Shiawase Spring water by Uomoto Co.
