[Day 4 - Mid Evening] Bid Event: Nakahama City By Night

The Green Carp Living Role-Playing Society (GCLRPS) is a hobby organization for 'Living Role-Playing" games, where its members embody their characters in organized role-playing games. These are often social occasions where each character interacts through improvised dialogue, dressed in lavish costumes that match the city, and occasionally advance a storyline laid out by the organization. The membership of the GCLRPS consists of Crab Clan worlds beyond the Green Carp, boasting a membership of several tens of thousands of samurai. While merely a leisurely hobby, this pastime is taken seriously by some Crab Clan and might have some influence on real-life politics.

The GCLRPS's Edge of Darkness gathering is held at the same time as this year's game-themed Fan-Con gathering. Edge of Darkness is a role-playing game where the characters embody 'leech-wraiths', gaijin immortal beings that feed off the lifeforce of the general population to sustain their undying hunger. The leech-wraiths operate in a complex social structure that encourages politics and consists of several clans of different origins. Each leech-wraith territory is ruled by either a King or a Queen, a figurehead of the Rose, a massive network of leech-wraiths that maintains order and its dominion over mortals. Nakhama City is currently ruled by Queen Besanii Karedon of the Red Velvet Clan, played by Yasuki Ayame.

Somehow, Kuni Sumie returned to the Green Carp Living Role-Playing Society. Sumie had been previously banned from the GCLRPS for her disruptive and rule-breaking behaviour as her character, Lady Beatorisu Asuta of the Black Iron Clan. Empowered by forbidden knowledge from the great beyond and promising her loyalists that she will return them to an age of 'Forever Night', she has become more powerful than ever before!

With her dreadful return, Lady Beatorisu rallies the rebel cell under her banner in a daring bid to usurp Queen Besanii and the Rose's control over the city, plunging the city into an uncertain Blood War. Now, the residing leech-wraiths must choose their allegiance between the Rose and the rebellion. The outcome of this fictional role-playing war will have real-life repercussions that will affect the bidding process!

Chapter 1: Character Creation
Players of Nakahama City By Night must participate in the event through leech-wraith characters from Edge of Darkness. Players may select one of five Clans, each of which has its own distinct flavour and strengths. They will have a Free Raise applied to a specific discipline and associated skill roll for the duration of the event.

• Black Iron Clan: Mystical and eccentric, the swamp-dwelling immortals of this Clan are known for their mastery over the extra-sensory and clairvoyant discipline of Prescience. This grants a Free Raise to the skills of Investigation(Notice)/Perception and Divination(Astrology)/Intelligence.
• Red Velvet Clan: Glamorous and passionate, the immortals of this Clan live an unending life of partying and excess. As a result, they command the discipline of Wile, a hypnotic and seductive power of control. This grants a Free Raise to Sincerity (Deceit)/Awareness or Temptation(Seduction)/Awareness.
• Green Moon Clan: Mysterious and reclusive, very little is known about this Clan as they dwell in the shadows and are privy to secrets that will unnerve even elder immortals. They command the sneaking discipline of Creep, which grants a Free Raise to Stealth(Sneaking)/Agility and Sleight of Hand(Pick Pocket)/Agility.
• White Ivory Clan: Boisterous and proud, this Clan of immortals is known for their dominating physicality and bravado. They rule over the mountains with their powerful discipline of Stoic, granting a Free Raise on rolls made with Defence/Reflexes or Athletics/Strength.
• Blue Fog Clan: Whimsical and conniving. The nomadic immortals of the Blue Fog Clan are known to seemingly roam as they please, often operating under a hidden agenda. They command the awe-inspiring discipline of Revere, giving a Free Raise on rolls made with Courtier(Manipulation)/Awareness or Acting/Awareness.

Chapter 2: Allegiance and the Edition War
Each character must determine which faction they side with in this conflict. The outcome of this eternal struggle will have repercussions for the bidding process. The loyalists of the Rose seek to maintain their control over the city, continuing their rulership of the mortals beneath them. Meanwhile, Lady Beatorisu (Kuni Sumie) seeks to tear down the establishment of the Rose and build a new immortal society from the ashes, although she doesn't have a set plan yet. See the 'Outcome' section for full details.

Depending on who the participants support, they will be using different edition rules. Loyallists will be using the 4th Edition rules, which have been streamlined and have brought more players to the game due to their accessibility.

Loyalist characters will roll as normal. On success, the character scores 1 City Point for the Loyalist/Rose faction and an additional 1 City Point per Called Raise.

Rebellion characters under the leadership of Lady Beatorisu (Kuni Sumie) will be using the 3rd Edition rules. Kuni Sumie is a diehard and stubborn supporter of the 3rd Edition rules, despite the fact that the usage of the nearly century-old rules has been phased out of the GCLRPS for more than a decade now. The rules are as follows...

The number of Called Raises a character can make is instead determined by the character's Skill Rank, rather than Void Trait. On success, the character scores 1 City Point for the Rebel faction and an additional 1 City Point per Called Raise. Furthermore, more on a successful roll, the character must also roll a 1d100 on the 'Hunger Table' to determine their final result.

Hunger Table
1: The character suffers from crippling angst and is in danger of going into a torpor state. -2 City Points from their successful roll.
2-30: The character is consumed by their undying hunger and lacks control in their actions. -1 City Point from their successful roll.
31-80: No effect.
81-99: The character is infused with euphoria by the use of their powers and is further empowered by their frenzy. +1 City Point to their successful roll.
100: The character taps into their true potential and is bestowed unlimited power. +2 City Points to their successful roll.

Chapter 3: The Blood War
There are five territories in this event that characters from both factions are attempting to contest. A location with the most points by one faction is considered to be under their control by the end of the event. The faction with the most locations controlled is considered to be the victor of the event. Each location utilizes a different discipline (skill set) to control. Each participant may make up to 3 total rolls, in any combination of locations. Any Low Skill used here is not subject to Honour Loss.

• Residential Blocks and Parks Upper Nakahama City: This location uses the discipline of Revere. Make a roll using Courtier(Manipulation)/Awareness or Acting/Awareness at TN15.
• Harbourfront Lower Nakama City: This locations uses the discipline of Wile. Make a roll using Sincerity (Deceit)/Awareness or Temptation(Seduction)/Awareness at TN15.
• Namigashira Bay: This location uses the discipline of Stoic. Make a roll using either Defence/Reflexes or Athletics/Strength at TN15.
• Azuma Beach: This location uses the discipline of Prescience. Make a roll using either Investigation(Notice)/Perception or Divination(Astrology)/Intelligence at TN15.
• Coast Tenjin Town: This location uses the discipline of Creep. Make a roll using either Stealth(Sneaking)/Agility or Sleight of Hand(Pick Pocket)/Agility at TN15.

Please note which faction which character will be supporting in their roll, or it will not be counted toward the total.Consult the above rules for the outcome of each successful roll, which is different for each faction.

Outcome
When rolls are posted, please mark the total of City Points contributed to each location by the character. Also, please note the total number of contributed City Points by the character. The outcome of the event is determined by which faction is victorious.

The Rose Loyalist Victory
If the Rose Loyalists are victorious in claiming the most territory in the city, they are considered the victor in the Blood War. Queen Besanii/Yasuki Ayame remains in the rule of Nakahama City, and Lady Beatorisu/Kuni Sumie is executed in the game for her traitorous ways (her character is considered killed by the GCLRPS). Yasuki Ayame will gain 1.0 Glory and Kuni Sumie will lose 1.0 Glory. For each (leech-wraith) Clan, Queen Besanii will reward 5 Bid Points to the characters who accumulated the most City Points in the event. Ties are broken by the character who contributed the most City Points to one location, then by the highest sum of all successful rolls.

The Rebel faction will be fragmented by the loss of their leader, and a new leader of the faction will be selected in the power vacuum. The character who contributed the most City Points for the Rebel faction will receive 3 Bid Points, but may choose to have a (samurai) Clan lose 3 Bid Points instead. The tie is broken by the most City Points contributed to one location, then by the highest sum of all successful rolls.

Rebel Victory
In the event of a Rebel victory, the Rose has fallen in Nakahama City and Queen Besanii is killed in the ensuing conflict (her character is considered killed by the GCLRPS). Yasuki Ayame will lose 1.0 Glory and Kuni Sumie will gain 1.0 Glory. Lady Beatorius will topple the establishment, and the (samurai) Clan with the highest Bid Points will lose 10 Bid Points. If there are multiple (samurai) Clans tied for the highest amount of Bid Points, both will lose 10 Bid Points instead. All lost Bid Points by this will be contributed toward the (samurai) Clan with the least amount of Bid Points. In the event that there are multiple contenders for the least amount of Bid Points, the sum of the awarded in this way will be divided among them.

In addition to this, the best-performing character of each (leech-wraith) Clan with the most City Points will be awarded 3 Bid Points. Ties are broken by the character who contributed the most City Points to one location, then by the highest sum of all successful rolls in that location.

The loss of Nakahama City will be devastating to the Rose, and they must regroup if they are to return order to the city after it has been plunged into anarchy by the Rebel faction. A new leader will emerge, and they will receive 3 Bid Points. This is determined by the character who contributed the most City Points in the event. The tie is broken by the most City Points contributed to one location, then by the highest sum of all successful rolls.

They really take this seriously huh...

Sumiko didn't really understand why this was so huge, however the Governor was involved and she knew there'd be an expectation to get involved. After a day at the con it seemed there'd be an evening of costumes too! Once the learnt exactly how it was supposed to work she had prepared her appearance and made her way to bring the glory through pressure to the Loyalists (because it would make sense to keep the Governor happy!)

She had the part of the district she worked through under her control quickly, with whispered promises and powerful words that would make sure none would consider any kind of rebellion. It was surprisingly exciting.

[Bayushi Senshuken]

The harbor smells of gunpowder, wet ropes, and expensive perfume. Senshuken’s, naturally. Somewhere in the chaos, Queen Besanii’s banners still flutter, though the rebels of Lady Beatorisu are closing in from every pier and warehouse. It is a scene of tension, fear, and breathtaking couture.

Senshu stands in the middle of it all, perfectly composed. Her crimson coat sways like a flag that refuses to surrender. Her eyes gleam with that hypnotic glint that promises truth, lies, or a kiss and no one can quite tell which. It is eye contacts, of course!

She’s been lying for hours. To everyone.

To the Queen’s guard, she has whispered that reinforcements are already on their way. To the rebels, she has said that the Queen has fallen, that she herself is defecting, and that they are about to be betrayed by their own. To the dockworkers, she claims to be a royal tax inspector, and to the mercenaries, an undercover rebel agent named Velvette Rouge.

Now, as the gunfire echoes and shouts are carried through the mist, she leans casually against a crate of stolen rum and smirks. “Oh, relax,” she says to the terrified soldier beside her. “This is all part of my plan.”

It isn’t.

But somehow, it is working. The rebels are confused, the loyalists are confident, and the Queen is safe behind a barricade of chaos that Senshu herself has designed entirely out of improvisation and audacity.

Every few minutes, someone rushes up to her asking for orders and she gives them. Completely made up ones, but delivered with such confidence that even the fog seems to nod along.

“Tell Beatorisu’s men that Lady Beatorisu already fled!” She orders one runner.

“Tell our troops that Beatorisu’s lieutenant is begging for mercy!” She says to another.

And when a third messenger asks what the Queen has said, Senshu just smiles. “She told me I’m her favorite. Spread that too.”

By the time the evening passes, the battle lines are no clearer, but morale and confusion are both sky high. Senshu walks through the harbor like a diva through smoke. Her lies weave a tapestry of half truths and total nonsense that somehow hold the area together for now.

She tosses her hair, glances at the moon, and mutteres to herself with satisfaction, “I'm so good at this.”

"Revere me and despair!" She yelled, flashing the appropriate cue cards at others. Unfortunately, her first victims rolled the prerequisite succcesses to ignore her attempts. "Fucking guy." She muttered under her bereath.

The others were less successful, and soon her reign as the Rose Princess of Residential Nakahama, Streets 44 and under, has begun.

"My reign shall be tyrannical and merciful, as per my whimsy....muhahahahaha!" She yelled, holding a finger to her mouth as she was laughing.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," is all Bayushi Kazushi - no, Aramasutus Andurai of the Blue Fog Clan - can say as he enters the event...



"This is definitely...a thing," replies Kurumi.

Katsumi taps away at her computer, adding, "From my calculations, the Residential Blocks and Parks need some reinforcement. The conflict there is a political one, so you should be well suited to it...Andurai-san?"

"I can't believe I'm doing this," Aramasutus Andurai says again...

The mysterious emissary from the Blue Flog Clan floats around the periphery of the conflict, bringing to bear his mighty mastery of Revere to add weight to his words, pulling more defenders to the side of Queen Besanii. Too bad his player is too removed from events to really care about what's going on, or he might have actually made some headway in supporting the Loyalists. A few seem swayed by his arguments in favor of 4th Edition (which he barely understands, having not even been aware of it before today), but that's all.

Kotori took to the Coast of Tenjin Town with a whisper. It Seemed only appropriate that she would take on the character of the Green Moon Clan. Perhaps in a way, she wasn't acting a part at all.

She lingered in the shadows, in the quiet corners, in plain sight - she was everywhere and yet she was nowhere at all. If not for the way that information continued to leak from the location like water through the cracks between the fingers that tried desperately to lift the rebellion into prominence, one might never have known she was even there.

And that, was how she liked it.

Miya Kisha is a bit taken aback at the announcement of LARPing. The term is familiar to her--the practice has been very much in vogue at some times and in some places--but she had not expected it to have quite so much currency among the Tango Crab. Still, when in Zakyo Toshi, one does as its people do, and so Kisha dresses in clinging black and finds a blue shawl, holds a rose and goes out into the upper city with pale, pale makeup on her face, hobbing and nobbing with others not dissimilarly dressed and thinking that it might have been good to have the camera rolling, but with the lighting and all, it probably wouldn't go well, and there's enough nerdiness coming in her Comments without adding more to it.

But she does like how the dress hugs her hips.

[Agasha Sorato]

Eddowādo Kuren (that was a good leech-wraith name, right?) of the Blue Fog clan a̶m̶b̶l̶e̶s̶ stalks the streets of the Residential District.

Armed with the fearsome power of Revere (or at least with a laminated card printed with "REVERE," which will just have to do) and a majestic gaijin cape that bears some resemblance to the Phoenix Embassy's window curtains, the enigmatic Eddowādo strikes from the shadows at the forces of the Rose!

Fortunately for the forces of the Rose, it's Agasha Sorato's first experience with LARPing and he really hasn't gotten the hang of it yet. Most of the time, when he pounces on Queen Besanii's supporters from a shadowy doorway, their REVERE cards outnumber his. Moreover, despite a sincere effort to understand the local Crab culture, he really can't take himself seriously as a lifeforce-crazed creature of the night--How could there be so many leech-wraiths when they all hate each other? Wouldn't they wipe each other out? Haven't they ever thought about finding a more sustainable source of life energy?--which seems to make his line delivery less than convincing at times.

His fellow rebels’ attempts to coach him in the finer points of the Third Edition rules sometimes help, but at other times they leave him more confused—like, what is an ‘ERP table’ for, exactly, and why is the other leech-wraith breathing so close to his ear as she directs him to turn to Page 247b?

He does manage to triumph in one battle, but loses a couple more. By the end of the night he can't deny that it is kind of fun, though. Maybe he'd take to it better with a different theme? Like if everyone was a whimsical Kitsune, or perhaps noble Ivindi warriors going on an exotic quest?

Being on the side of the Rebels sounded fun at first, but when she saw the complicated tome that was the 3e rules, Kanna had a hard time following along and joined the 4e crowd instead. At least the rules there were easy!

The witch of the black sand swamp haunted the city, spreading spores and spooks wherever she went, as the prey trembled in terror of her shadow passing over them. Her familiar (yipped) cawed the approaching doom of their inevitable fates - death. If not tonight, then soon, for the lives of mortals were like flickering candles when compared to the immortal leech-wraiths.

Lady Rapace Avide D'Argent stalked the harborfront her pale skin shining beneath the moonlight, revealed and enhanced by midnight black fabric. Normally, she would be stalking the bars for her latest victim, to draw them in to their last, but greatest night of hedonistic pleasure. But no, Lady Beatorisu had returned and called for them to rise up against the foul blasphemers who dared called themselves a Rose. She had forgotten the old ways, forsaken the holy tables for 'Cooperative storytelling'. The true path of the leech-wraith could only be expressed by those who dared fate itself, who took it by two decahedrons and tossed it uncaring into the endless void of night!

There were so many blasphemers, but the Rose's strength was all an illusion. Soon the full fury of the one true Lady would reveal itself and all would burn!

Rapace stalked through the harborfront, thirsty for victims. Her first was so nearly enough to slake her terrible hunger, but no, she needed more. The second was but a child. A scrawny morsel indeed, her hunger demanded more! The third fell just as easily as the child, but still, more was needed!

The night was yet young, and they were eternal. The usurper would burn, and their Lady would rise high! Higher than the moon who looked upon them uncaring!

Haruhi knew a good story needed a villain! Was she the right person to play a villain? Surely it was worth a try, and her convention role play game had created a backstory of a character hardened by loss and eager for revenge. A human princess who became a vampire queen! Regal. Cold as ice and snow. Manipulative!

Yeah!

She spent a lot of time on her backstory and costume. And she tried to research the Governor's character. What scheme would put a spotlight on the Rose faction beautifully written backstory? A half-sibling in a 3rd paragraph. A beloved mentor on page 7. A ward?

So, the cold-hearted Queen of Snow and Blood, regal - but absolutely in no way in charge of anything - and ardent follower of (checks notes) Lady Beatorisu, set out. Looking pale. And regal. Regally pale. Elegant touches of blood on her fangs.

The half-sibling dear to the Roses was surely residing in the Residential Blocks and Parks Upper Nakahama City! A territory where he had a secret warehouse stocked with the drugs he was smuggling, to addict the hapless enemies of the Rose! The poor undertrodden common people. And also probably some mortal politicians.

And he was manipulated yes! Through revere and courtesy. To ... sail away forever! (Scene moved to Beach). Taking his drugs!

And so the people would taste pure! No icky drugs in the blood! Yeah!

But oh, contemplating this improvement in the local vintage, the hunger became overwhelming. Oh no! She must RP it. An unquenchable undying thirst. Many hapless park-goers are ex-sanguinated and the scheme is ultimately revealed as a tactic of the Rebellion.

So a tiny tiny economic blow to the Rose.

Of very little consequence to the balance of power in the game. But very fun RP!

Suh-Hyun wasn't familiar with Edge of Darkness, or the Blood War for that matter. But apparently it was a major local custom and no Unicorn would scorn local customs!

First she needed to do some research, so she pulled out her densai and searched the keyword Edge of Darkness. "Oh that's really cool." Suh-Hyun bookmarks a TV show review for a surreal political thriller under the same name. Moving past that she added 'RPG' to the search and was immediately confused. After parsing out it mostly involved leech-wraiths, most of whom seemed to various flavors of 'sexy/handsome' with the occasional creepy looking one, the Shinjo decided to just flip to an image search.

Then she opened the search options and turned 'Safe Search' on and went back to the image search.

A long sigh escaped the Unicorn after she closed out the image search, "Well I can make this work, I have a bikers outfit. Going to need a bikini and some double sided tape though. Damn it."

Dame Carnesi got off her bike and approached the proctors. After hearing the pitch for clans, Suh-Hyun figure Dame Carnesi was a settles matters with her in human speed and strength kind of leech-wraith and picked the White Ivory Clan. Now it was on to the pitches from the two sides. After waving off the long, convoluted, contrived, and surprisingly raunchy in the Rose's case back stories of the two sides, Dame Carnesi decided to just read the rule books.

The Third Edition caught her eye, mostly because it's size reminded her of the technical manuals for fighter craft. The ones that had endless tables of flight characteristics, weight to thrust ratios, stress tolerances, and about a thousand other calculated variables. Flipping through this tome, Suh-Hyun began to wonder if she should check for cuts after handling something so edgy. She stopped at a table that said ERP. Enterprise resource planning did seem like a very Yasuki thing. As she read through the table, her skin adopted a red hue. The Unicorn learned a new meaning for the acronym ERP that day. Calmly closing the book she set it down. "Do...do you have any of those hand wipe things?"

So Fourth Edition it was, which put Suh-Hyun in the Loyalist camp. So Dame Carnesi was a brooding noble, in a malevolent domineering bloodsucker sort of way, knight of the rightful Queen of the city. Long may she reign.

Taking her orders to rid the city of rebels, Dame Carnesi rode off into the night and down to Namigashira Bay. Stepping off the bike, unzipping her jacket to her belly button, apply double sided tap the hold the jacket open properly, and most importantly put on her sunglasses even though it was entering the night time.

Time to begin her patrol. A little music if you please.

Immediately ambushed, Dame Carnesi levered her superior strength and fitness to throw the first attacker into a conveniently placed pile of foam crates. After apologizing for damaging the game scenery the fight resumed. This time she adopted a defensive posture and ably dodged a series of blows. And since she was a cool leech-wraith who was also brooding and stoic, all her dodges were done with a disinterested expression. Finally her attackers relented leaving the Dame to pose in a really cool way on a tactical rock.

What would be a dramatic battle without a good heel? Kuni Sumie was too much of an ass to be a fun villain but Marquise Chimère, la dreadful chevalière mounted on the fearsome beast of Gevaudan...would



Wearing the edgiest shit she could get her hands on, La Dreadful Chevalière and her terrible mount (her motorbike with three black painted foam skulls and black-ish pool noodles to mimic legs (?))roared a challenge to all that could hear them.

For too long had they been exiled!

For too long had they been denied what was theirs!

She was the heir of a long line of warriors and conquerors and though them she could never forget the true meaning of being a White Ivory: refinement through war!

In her wake laid devastation!

Under her heels the weak was trampled!

But not all where easy to crack. Here in Namigashira Bay one of her foolish cousin, Dame Carnesi, held fast against her inexorable tide. Brave as it was, it would not hold against her for long unless another would join the fray against her.

Ok, after that playtest at fancon, and chatting with Yakura, Hitomi hit her messages. Then did some research on GCLRPS. Then some more on the current setup, and the rules. There was something charming about an upstart faction clinging to a century-old rulebook. Would the governor retaliate against those aiding that group? Surely not over a game...

Hmm, leech-wraiths, and immortal. Sounds a bit like legends of the old Ashalan. Surely Crab aren't into playing actual creatures of darkness, right?

As she reads more, it becomes apparent that they do. Academic lectures on the power of transgression come to mind. It's all really fascinating and...what time is it?! Ok breathe...

Name: Let's pull from some of that Ashalan lore: Atarya, Lady Archivist! Hitomi was fairly proud of creating that, oblivious to the lame quality of a rebel librarian.

Costume! Dig into the makeup trove to give skin a blue shimmer. Add 'tattoos' in shades of plum lipcolor. She's immortal and can have all the ancient clothes she wants, right? But also kind of scandalous? OK, the rules say passionate, but all the art says scandalous. So some of those flowing Ivindi silk re-creations--not even tempted to go wearing the real ones out for a game!--with an indigo blue robe left open over the top. Some pale silk streamers in her hair seemed appropriate for a night spirit.

OK, get the character up and...signed in to Rebel message board Forever Night. Oh! That's what that was about! A game? Hitomi laughs as she races through the messages, There's a group meeting at the harbour at... she looks at the time... reckless driving o'clock!!

She made an odd sight, silks blowing out behind as she rode the little delivery scooter downhill.

Time to gain trust and betray the powerful forces in control of the Nakahama Night! Atarya knows the city history, where the bodies are buried and land deeds are filed! Using her wiles...er Wile...she was wildly successful in making people think she was too obviously a bumbling newb to be any threat, until she handed all the intel over to someone who actually knew what to do with it. "Here! If we hold the harbour, we hold the life of the city! We'll make the night forever!"

That...that was kind of fun.

The other rebels move to form a half moon around the loyalist.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! You have misunderestimated my power! Foolish fledgelings! I am Von Chiba Vonmoto! Leech Vraith!...Okay gimme a sec"
Ochiba awkwardly clambers atop a parked carp before turning with a flourish to reveal herself in her full glory.

Slowly, she pulls a heavy looking bean bah out from behind her back, the rebels involuntarily take a half step back.
"Is that-"
"Ah! Ah! Ah! Yes trayvors! I vave mastered Thundervolt!" the Mantis cocks her arm back and hurls the bag, beaning the nearest rebel in the face.

By the end of the evening a thoroughly exhausted Ochiba, her three rebel combatants and half a dozen other leech wraiths are lying in an exhausted corner in the city park passing around a joint of medicinal herbs the Mantis had acquired.

Ryosei had pulled up in his custom, high end sports car, it was the one extravagance he allowed himself with his wealth. The engine roared with power and he skidded to a stop at the Bay. Stepping out he was wearing a modified version of the suit he had been wearing for his date earlier. He'd added some gold rings and a chain and he'd unbuttoned it to halfway down his torso showing off a fairly well muscled physique a couple of abs peeking out at the bottom. A pair of very nice fangs poled out as he smiled maliciously.

He approached a group of rebels and cracked his neck the look in his eyes so different from the mild mannered mechanic he was day to day. "Alright you rebel scum, you picked the wrong night to get on my bad side!"

Combat had been heated and at one point he may or may not have kicked over a trash can, got a little too into character. But at the end of it he had done his job for the Rose. He ended up huddled with some others after it all finished breathing heavy but with a smile on his lips.

Oh... This looks like lots of fun! The Scorpion donned his darkest clothing, a terrible decision considering the weather. Plenty of deodorant, let's not spook people with our smell neh? Now how to tie up the whole thing together? He knew which clan he'd roll with, there was little question as to which in any case.

Hinata has shown off his face everywhere he's gone. There was no mystery as to what he looked like. So what if he simply donned his seldom used terrifying visage? Black, red and eyes of gold. A demon prowls the streets of Nakahama City tonight! Let's have some fun!

First, he'd think strategically. Red Velvet meant he could put his usual skills to good use. Which faction best supported his clan's goals? Well... the Queen did look... Like that... That was reason enough. Loyalty was it's own reward.


The Residential blocks were much like court. Having his face hidden wasn't exactly a new experience. But he was happy to suss out rebels, distracting them from their duties. Not being recognised did also contribute significantly to the fun.

Next up was his specialty. Harbourfront had all the clubs and informal gathering spots. It didn't matter that they couldn't see his face, he knew the danger and anonimity was probably only heightening the allure he projected. For a few moments he swore he could see Sumi-chan. He'd go looking for her once he was done, that's for sure.
