[D2, EE] Important check up!

[Bayushi Senshuken]

Bayushi Senshuken has heard of this engineer even if she's only around for a couple of days. She arrives with her bike and parks just outside.

"Hello! Anyone around?" She asks.

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Having been restocking her minifridge with bottled drinks, Nagisa stands up from her crouching position. Stretching out her lower back, she numbs the fridge closed with her knee before exiting the lobby of her shop out to meet the new visitor.

“Welcome to Tetsuo Auto Repair. What can I do for you this evening?”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Oh hello!" She offers a bow. "Bayushi Senshuken. I have this pretty baby out there," she points to her sports motorbike outside, "and I wanted to make sure that if something happened to her, she would get the attention she deserves."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

The Kaiu takes a moment to give the bike a good look-over, appreciating the design aesthetics and the construction itself. “Beautiful bike. I’d love to work on it if you ever need me to.”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"It's only a rental. My own, the one I use daily at my homeworld, is about the same if not better. Still I wanted to be sure that even the rental is in top condition. Could you take a look at it? Just to be sure?"

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Yeah, could eye it and give it a diagnostic scan.” Nagisa instantly crouches down and feels the tires. After feeling around for anything that could be sticking out of one, she gives each a squeeze. “Tires are in too condition.”

Meanwhile, a drone whirrs by, bobbing up and down around the bike while giving out little beeps and boops.

“Oh, I think I know where I recognized this bike. Heh. I worked on it last month for a routine maintenance. Yeah, it should be good. Just gonna wait on that scan.”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

''Hai, hai, I will.'' She agrees and looks around her while waiting. ''You have quite the shop. Top notch technology. I'm a bit of an engineer myself. As much as it is necessary to facilitate bike racing and running a small lab that hopes to become a huge industry some day.''

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Well, nice of you to compliment me but this isn’t anything compared to some of the offworld garages I’ve been to.” Nagisa rubs at her chin thoughtfully as she stands back up to her full height. “Hmmm… So you thinking about running an auto shop or something? Or were you going into something a little more specialized?”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"There's an alloy that I tested the past few months. For pistons mainly. It allows higher levels of temperature and pressure. The testing went well so I bought the patent and set up a small lab and a website. I didn't have time for more before getting assigned here." She explains.

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Ahhhh. Interesting.” With a couple of boops, Nagisa’s drone whirrs back to the garage proper. “That kind of testing I’ve seen in big testing areas in like metalworking companies and whatnot. Intense stuff.”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Yes, it was quite vexing. The noise." She chuckles. "The noise in there could make any sane person go nuts. I don't know how you engineers do it. You have my limitless admiration."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Protective ear covering goes a long way. I thankfully don’t have to deal with much noise in this job. Unless I’m banging out dents.” Nagisa mimes a hammering motion. “Other than that, I’ll turn on some music or something to drown out the silence while I’m alone working.”

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"I will keep it in mind for the next time I'm over there." She replies. "Tests take ages. You know that yourself. Expanding with a second lab and a second testing facility in a different world would speed up things quite a lot. Different atmosphere, different climate. You know how it goes. Do you think that there's room in this planet for such an expansion? Would the local merchants see it as something worth investing at or is it out of what is aimed at here?"

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Nagisa rubs her chin thoughtfully as she looks up at tge ceiling. “Hmmm… I mean, metallurgy is always welcome to the Kaiu. There could potentially be some interest amongst my kin.”

"Well, you can spread the word and see if it's something within family or clan interests. I would be happy to share and expand. In an environmental friendly way, of course." She nods in affirmation of her own words.
