[D2, ME] Dancing at the club (open)

Haruhi could not stay out too late. She knew she needed a good night of rest to be her best the next day, and Kakita were not permitted to have days when they were not at their best. At least, not in her family.

But this was not *too* late. This was just right.

She was still wearing her very light blue gauze kimono. She had added a headpiece in the same color with a bright blue feather on one side of her head. Her hair was mostly down, but tied back from her face in soft braids that tied at the back of her head.

She was listening to the music, and dancing skillfully and enthusiastically. Sometimes in a trance, oblivious to the world. And sometimes scanning the crowd for familiar faces.

Missing that porcelain mask was hard, much less the ghostly look, but there was the proper detective swinging her arms around with passion to the techno, as if she was letting out of some energy she held within. She dressed as drab as the time they met on the beach, just lighter, showing her arms and little nicks and scars they bore.

She cheered for her smooth dance moves.

The detective couldn't avoid but notice and drifted with her step over to the Crane, at ease. "More like to let go of energy. Let loose, Kakita-san."

"Just like that.. it is like a meditation. But instead of trying to shut down your body's signals, you let it go and be distracted elsewhere, let the thoughts come to you. Is good for inspiration and.. when I'm stuck with a problem."

With the distraction of the conversation, she was less self-conscious. Dancing away. She had a good sense of beat, and favored soft flowing motions with her arms.

"My work has, in the past, largely been for small audiences. A single patron and their friends. Art salons. In those cases, I am keenly interested in the audience and their reaction. Particularly where it is an extended engagement and there will be multiple performances, many gifts, etc."

"My patrons so far have been all I could hope. Generous. Encouraging. I was a little surprised to be 'traded' to Yasuki-sama, but I am glad to be here, and excited by her vision. I don't mind the unpredictability of that part. It would be harder if I had a family. If I had any competing priorities."
