[D1, LE] This Dancefloor Is My Court (Open)

Kanna had changed from her fancier clothes to something more suitable for a dance club.

At the bar she chose a colorful mocktail with a cute little parasol (she insisted on the parasol, it was the most important part), and moved onto the dancefloor with drink in hand. For now, she was content to just sway to the music, trying to find the vibe of this place.

Meanwhile, KI-kun had changed . . . his makeup to something more glittery, as what he'd been wearing for 'court' . . . was good for club court also. Almost like he'd planned it. He had.

Dispensing with a drink, he chose instead to head straight to the dance floor and began what Yu-kun called a 'dance warm up' which could probably have won several amateur competitions.

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Bayushi Kazushi makes his second appearance at the Pink Lotus, though he's in somewhat lower spirits than he was yesterday. Proof enough of this is that he has sent his servants away for the night so he can be alone, but his frustration with himself is reinforced by how quickly he downs his first G&T, replacing it with another that he finishes nearly as quickly.

Kanna felt the vibe of the dancing more than she saw it at first. Someone who knew the ebb and flow of music. "Wow, you got amazing moves! Wher---!"

Realising she was talking to (or at) a member of Usagi Drop!, Kanna made a small jump of surprise. It loosened her hold on the mocktail, and as she realised she was fumbling it, she quickly reached out for the glass... but luck wasn't on her side this time tonight, and the touch from her fingers mid-air gave the glass a spin and sent it tumbling off into a crowd of dancers.

At least she hadn't spilled any of the drink on herself. Or Hiroki. But someone might've gotten doused with something fruity and non-alcoholic.

"Gosh..."

"Woah . . . "

He'd been prepared to dodge, but the drink went the other way.

"Well that's going to give someone a sticky surprise."

He never stopped moving to the music, but at least didn't make any expansive moves. There was no telling what the Dragon might throw next. Fire was never not an option with the green hued ones.

[Yoritomo Ochiba]

There's the sound of doors being thrown up and a few curses exchanged before a gaudily dressed Mantis, now suitably pregamed, hits the dancefloor.

Ochiba is not a very good dancer, she's minimally coordinated, rarely on beat and seems to be bobbing her head to another song entirely.

This does not mean she isn't an enthusiastic dancer. Limbs are flung around, lyrics yelled and toes trodden on. Recognizing a few of the other samurai present they she waves, finger guns or flips them off as appropriate but seems intent on working out some energy before slowing down for the evening.

Ah, one of the other, slightly different, green hued ones. These didn't throw fire very often. Harsh language and hands were more likely to be thrown by them, and they were technically allied to the Crane. Technically.

Ki-kun flashed some finger guns back at Ochiba before continuing his safe orbit around Kanna, always prepared to dodge fire.

"But oh my kami! I love your dancing. You're such an inspiration!" Kanna knew she shouldn't shout out Usagi Drop! in the house everyone! in case he wanted to not draw all the attention. But she could show off her impression of Usagi Drop!-dances, to show she meant specifically that she was a fan of his dancing.

It was... acceptable for someone who had never had a dance lesson in their life. Ever. More enthusiasm than actual skill.

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

If someone had been seen her before, they wouldn't be able to tell right away, instead of sharpness, she dressed drab and loose, as if trying to pass into the background, yet, her moves worked with rhythm, energy, even a little violence beneath them, pouring her body into the movements, going down and extending, yet, they were imprecise, untrained. It was the dance of somebody with something to convey, but no practice beneath, it was a talent to hone.

The dance had been OK enough for Ki-kun to recognise which one it was and he instinctively dropped into the matching moves, although the ever present threat of sudden Dragon fire was obviously still on his mind.

Another Mantis joined the fray, wearing....a golden dress? Was it too much? Is there a thing as too much?

She looked around, and went to the bar first, obviously. Ordering a round of shots she expertly held the plate of shot glasses.

"Oho, I see we are havign some fun here. Who wants a drink?"

Unless stopped, Kazushi will swoop in on the shots.

The Detective made his way onto the dancefloor.

Kazushi has to stop himself from bowing to the Detective, before greeting his companion.

"Kitsune-san, that bird you presented to the governor had such fascinating plumage," he says. "It's a local species?"
