[Day 6, Late Afternoon, Closed] Star Crab the Crab Star

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Ayame grinned at the idea and shook her head. "Well, I think I was promised food first and foremost. The taping was something of a vehicle to get the food. I heard good things about this place and I didn't eat all afternoon because of Jade Chef. Starving! That said, if I want to be covered, I think I'd rather do something else than beiing taped eating food and giving my reaction. That's such Umiko-chan's thing."

"Just food and company, then," Kazushi agrees, "without the need for media coverage. After Jade Chef, I think I've had my fill of being in front of the camera, anyway - at least for today."

[Yasuki Honoka]

When Kisha arrives Honoka's back straightens into place. Honoka would be taken over by an autonomic force, turning go Kisha first with acknowledgement. "Oh, of course! Thank you Miya-san. There was an invitation of food, and though it was under different context food was still offered and it will be served!"

With only a glance the servers milling about would kick into action and begin to approach. Honoka would then look to Hiroto, "Yasuki Hiroto-san, was everything maintained well?" she would ask.

"Yes," he would step forward to answer. "Everything was maintained."

"Excellent," Honoka would say. As one of her employee's approach Honoka would, with a look, invite them closer into confidence. "Please see to the governor, and ascertain her desire. Food was prepared, and remains prepared in the back but it has perhaps been some time and if she would like to order anew please see to any request she might make.

As well," Honoka would look to Umiko and Kisha. "Umiko-chan, food was prepared for you and remains perfectly edible if you would like. As well, Miya-san, the offer of food is here for you as well of course. I will not have anyone come to Crabkaku hungry and leave the same without it being of their own volition," she declares.

[Miya Kisha]

"That's kind of you, Yasuki-sama," Kisha replies, smiling. "And I very much appreciated when I ate here a couple of days back."

She turns to the karo, awaiting word on if she should stay or go. Even ditzy as she is, she knows not to cross those in power, not if she wants to remain in the good graces of the Family among whose ranks she seeks to climb.

It would be all too easy, after all, for an Otomo to be assigned a project in arranging things for her...

[Yasuki Ayame]

"Just food and company, then," Kazushi agrees, "without the need for media coverage. After Jade Chef, I think I've had my fill of being in front of the camera, anyway - at least for today."

"The Silver Fin Productions have done a good job of digging their claws in a lot of events on the island," she smirked as she gave a look around the restaurant, almost expecting them to pop up without notice at any moment, even though the crew left earlier! "As much as the attention is great, I prefer the sort of attention you can get without being on the other end of the holorecorder. So, I completely get where you're coming from there."

[Yasuki Umiko]

"Mm, that's good to hear," Umiko nodded to Honoka with a small smile on her lips as she placed her hands together. There was some reservation set up, especially with the reveal said earlier. Even though she was coming to terms with what happened, or what she was told happened, the thought of poisoning was enough to make her stomach churn and evaporate all appetite she had.

Actually, it might be the main reason she excused herself early from the Jade Chef event.

"...I think I might just settle for tea and desserts instead, if that's fine," she said apologetically on the matter.

"We can..." she said while looking between Kisha, "still make it an occasion together, of course. If Ayame-chan made it out here, it is an occasion in itself. I'll be joining everyone shortly. Please let everyone else know, Miya-san. Will you be joining us, too, Honoka-chan?"

She supposed the original idea of the shoot was to have Honoka in the back end of things, but seeing as Kaito and his crew as gone now, the authority was on her.

[Miya Kisha]

Kisha bows and returns to the front, where she waits once again to be acknowledged, this time by the governor.

"Mm, that's good to hear," Umiko nodded to Honoka with a small smile on her lips as she placed her hands together. There was some reservation set up, especially with the reveal said earlier. "What better way to salvage the afternoon, I think? Rather than making this about the failure of.." she shakes her head. No, time to relegate such deeds to history and forget them. With a renewed sense of self and vigor she continues, "What better way to reinvent this afternoon, I think. It has been too long since I have had the chance to see both you, and your sister in one place. Getting the opportunity to share a meal with you both and my other honored guests will be a event to remember," she smiles pleasantly.

"Then.. perhaps we might yet find another time that we can enjoy a more peaceful moment together. One without fanfare or other distractions, but I shouldn't focus too much on that right now.. just something to keep in mind," she says, looking to Umiko. Taking this brief private moment they have before joining the others at the table.

"Oh! And we do have some desserts on the menu I think you would absolutely love. I'll point them out to you on the menu!"

[Yasuki Ayame]

By the time Kisha returned to the governor, it seemed that she had readily settled at the designated table by Honoka's staff. Completely ignorant of what transpired, she was actually looking forward to eating and trying some of these offerings. Well, maybe not too much, considering she would have to sample some of the food at tonight's Jade Chef.

Ayame would nod at Kisha, allowing her to speak and smiled when she saw Honoka and Umiko not too far away.

"...Have either of you been to this restaurant before? I have to say that I'm typically an enjoyer of imitation Crab, but the real stuff is good too, of course. Just takes a bit of work," she smirked as a half-joke.

[Bayushi Kazushi]

"I came here not long after I arrived," Kazushi says. "There aren't many real crabs left on Rokugan, so it had been mostly imitation for me until I came here - it's definitely a different taste. Worth the work of getting through the shell."

[Yasuki Umiko]

There was a pause of consideration, mulling that despite that Kaito's plans were foiled, he did at least leave a stain on this place. It wasn't Honoka's fault, but likely something that would further dig into her in the future, no doubt.

"...Are you busy often?" She asked Honoka, indicating the restaurant and its management. "Maybe we could consider meeting elsewhere? Just to take you away from needing to work. It would be great if we could perhaps do something away from your workplace, right?"

"It was a couple of days ago for me," Kisha replies. "I tried the tasting flight, which I found quite nice--and easy enough to address, really. The legs worked well, and the Tropical Ice variety was quite pleasantly rich. The little claws in the cocktail drinks were nice, too, although I think I'd skip the tweezers with them if I do them again.

"But, yes, the lady karo and the proprietor are coming to join, matters seeming to be resolved well, if it please the governor."

[Yasuki Honoka]

Umiko would quietly nod at all points, as she dealt with both her sentimental conflict and now her gut. "Maybe something simple? I'm in the mood for something simple, actually..."

Away from her workplace. Her penthouse, sitting atop her Yasuki Data. Crabkaku... "Yes, please," she says, playing up for Umiko to hear a bit of desperation in her voice. What hours Honoka spends away from work might well be counted on a singular hand. It was also a way of losing herself, and one she relied on too often. Offering an easing smile, one she needed herself. She would gesture with her hand for Umiko to draw closer in a way to indicate for her to follow and would start walking them toward the table with the others.

Offering one last private sentiment before they would lose the opportunity for a while, "I did mean what I said the other night. I'm always busy, but for you I will always make the time," she said, and with only maybe a breath in-between she would finish her own approach to the table and bow deeply to Ayame. "Thank you for joining us, Yasuki Ayame-sama, it's been far too long since I've seen you last! At least, as personally as this opportunity allows us. Which personal is what this visit has become, I'm afraid. However, I hope that will not be too disappointing?"

Honoka would, as well in this performance, give a congenial look to both Kisha and Kazushi in turn. Dipping her head to offer her apologies and appreciation for their willingness to shift the tone of the afternoon.

She smirked on that note and looked to the Miya, who was the most likely foodie here, by her guess. "Have you been doing a lot of food content coverage on the island during your stay?"

"Thank you for joining us, Yasuki Ayame-sama, it's been far too long since I've seen you last! At least, as personally as this opportunity allows us. Which personal is what this visit has become, I'm afraid. However, I hope that will not be too disappointing?"

Ayame presented a friendly smile at Honoka and bowed to greet her. "Good afternoon, Yasuki Honoka-san. Thank you for having us. Kaito-kun recommended this place to me, and I know that you're pretty good friends with Umi-chan. So it's kind of overdue. I'm still looking forward to this. The Jade Chef shoot really has me in the mood to play a foodie today!" She chuckled.

"Did you have anything prepared or maybe there's a way we can sample a little bit of a few things?"

[Yasuki Umiko]

Umiko would quietly return with Honoka and give a bow to greet her sister formally before finding her place at the table.

[Yasuki Honoka]

"Yes! Samplers were a part of what was prepared prior as well as your meals. All is still available, but given time difficulties has been sitting. So, if you would prefer we remake anything we can be sure to do so."

"Miya-san, and Bayushi-san. Meals are also prepared for you. Of course, I had less certainty on what you might prefer we arranged something for the show of everything prior. A simple and easy meal that could be enjoyed by anyone," she raises her hands slightly in a pause gesture. "However, as you are here now and the opportunity presents itself, as well that you have been here before, please do take the opportunity to place your orders as you normally would," she would then gestures to the tablet devices resting at the sides of every table.

"I can answer any questions you might have," she says, touching her side and shifting a previously placed dataslate back into proper easily accessible place. Sitting near Umiko she would, without much fanfare, grab the tablet nearest them and then while people thought on their decisions would use her time to pull up the recommendations she promised earlier.

She smirked on that note and looked to the Miya, who was the most likely foodie here, by her guess. "Have you been doing a lot of food content coverage on the island during your stay?"

After Honoka speaks, Kisha answers the governor's question by saying "Not a lot, as such, but some. I have been covering events, however, and I've been working to get outside events, as well. The flying battle carps, for example. On that, actually, I've got a longer-form piece in progress; I'll be sure to send you a copy before it goes live!"

To Honoka, Kisha says "What I had before was so good, and your love for the work so clear when we talked before, I cannot help but trust you. What you'd had ready will be fine, and more than fine, I know!"

Kazushi nods in agreement. "I trust your judgement, Yasuki-san, although the crab cakes I had last time were quite good, too..."

[Yasuki Umiko]

"It would probably be preferable that we get a new order made," Umiko would say to her twin sister, while giving a few nods to Honoka, non-verbally telling her that this was perhaps the best call to be made in the circumstances they discussed in private.

After Honoka speaks, Kisha answers the governor's question by saying "Not a lot, as such, but some. I have been covering events, however, and I've been working to get outside events, as well. "Sure, I wouldn't mind getting a special sneak peek at what you're working on, Miya-san. I really do like your format, it's really easy to catch a quick viewing when I'm over at the gym," she said in regards to the content. There were a few local shows that captured events on the island, but she didn't think that she was the demographic to watch the news or variety shows. Thankfully, she wouldn't have to watch Sunset Hour to see herself eat.

"Oh, sure," she would respond to her sister in regards to the food choice. While she wasn't particularly picky, maybe the food was even better when it was out of the oven? Or pot? Or whatever.

[Yasuki Honoka]

Honoka would find herself pausing, it noticeable in her physical movements with the nods from Umiko. That realization she perhaps under anticipated something. No matter, surely would be the thought that spurred her forward. Looking to the side one of her employee's was dutifully present.

"Please see to it then. As well," she would glance from those gathered to the crew likely still milling about. "Please offer them seats wherever they would like and prepare meals for them. For today's event there will be no charge for anyone here. When you offer them the seats do make sure they are aware of that. We will not accept their currency today, as we have already claimed their time."

"Now, if I recall. Yasuki Ayame-sama," Honoka would login to a special section of the tablet in her hand. Through this admin setting she is able to select a number of items from her menu and add it to any table, and viewable from any tablet. Importantly, she was now doing this to make suggestions from her menu based off her memory of what Ayame's enjoyed dishes were. "As well.. if you enjoyed the crab cakes.." she would say, nibbling on the corner of her lip while she focuses. On the tablet prepared for Kazushi he would see some items enter onto his table. "I believe these are great suggestions."

Looking last to Kisha, as she had more to say here, "Your trust is greatly appreciated Miya-san. However, at this rate with all the other dishes being prepared anew I couldn't fathom allowing you to not share in a freshly made meal as well. Though I do not know your tastes perhaps as well..." she lingers, and then soon Kisha too would see recommendations appear on her tablet. Once this was done she would log out of the admin setting and turn this fourth and final tablet over to Umiko. Having already put the recommendations into it earlier for her.

Honoka, it would appear, perhaps already ordered by the mere notion of ordering. Her staff knew her quite well, as it would appear.
