[Day 7 - Mid Afternoon] RP Thread: Beach Oshidama Tournament (Sponsored by Kinsenka Breweries)

Sumiko chuckled, reaching out to accept the bottle.

"If you insist, thank you Hinata-san" she gave him a soft smile "and thank you also for the company. However I think you have a game to go win, don't keep Kakita-sama waiting! I'll cheer you on from here, just come back once you're done and I'll give you a rating on this artificial strawberry. And maybe your performance" she winked.

"Don't mention it." His eyes fall onto the field as the penultimate match comes to a close. Time for the finals, Kakita Hiroki is already stretching by the side, brimming with energy.

The Scorpions rises sluggishly from his spot, seemingly reluctant to face his opponents. He rolls his neck and shoulders before taking the first few steps. Stopping and looking over his shoulder.

"I'm giving it my best. I better not get a lower rating than the soda." With a final smirk he returns his attention to the competition. Jogging towards the sandy court.

''You, fat?'' she raises an eyebrow not really believing ''Not on that amount of lean protein you won't. Though if you want to train I ususually go on a run in the morning. Failing that...you can dance it off.''

"It has been a few days since I went to the club," Kisha says as soon as she gets her mouth clear of the chicken. "Tomorrow's probably a good evening for it.

"But I've been doing a lot of other eating and drinking while I've been here," she continues. "One of the dangers of checking out restaurants to report on them, and sneaky, because there's a lot of good food to find!"

''It could be that I've got a biased opinion. My lifestyle burns a fuck ton of calories, afterall.'' She shrugs ''Still, sound like you are fairly active so I'm pretty sure you don't have much to worry about''

"I tried that thing a while back where you walk on a treadmill while doing desk-work," Kisha says. "It was okay, but I don't always have access to a treadmill, living out of my luggage as much as I do."

There was a small laugh as Hinata mentioned his ratings, the girl raising the drink in his direction before letting him go off. She opened up the drink to sip, and pulled a slight face.

It's not even close to strawberries!

At least Hinata won. He'd get more points than the drink! Maybe.

''Good trainers and a good lineage I suppose'' she tried to explain ''Everyone in my familiy is pretty big and are fairly active. Fitness is easy if you've been training since childhood.''

She shakes her head in the negative for the other part

''Nah. I got no steady squeeze. I've been matched up with people for possible marriage once or twice but things...'' she shrugged ''...went tits up fairly quickly. I scare arranged suitors, apparently''

"Was it because of hammers?" Kisha asks, smiling with reference to their earlier conversation. "But I can see that you'd be scary for someone you didn't like much. Kind of a shame for those suitors that you didn't like them, though. I think you'd be great!"

When he returns he has, thankfully, decided to drape an open hoodie over his shoulders, granting some much needed modesty to his look. Shades cover his eyes and off his arm hangs a bag with no doubt the clothing he should be using to cover himself further.

He strides back to the Spider. His smile seeming a lot more smug than usual, most likely has to do with the shades.

"I think I did pretty well. It was quite the show at the very least." He is grinning as he sits down under the shade, rummaging inside his bag. Procuring a beer and a sour cocktail can from his bag, part of the prizes he had just won. "I avoided alcohol until I was done competing. Care to have a little victory drink with me?"

''HA!'' she got out a good laugh ''If we had to use hammers to declare courtship I'd be a dangerous bachelorette indeed!''

She finished with a sigh

''Well thank you. I'm not sure if it was because I did'nt like them or if they did'nt like me but I always had a bad feeling when things always ended up failing suddenly.''

She shrugged

''Well what about you? I take it your parents have failed to tie you down?''

"There aren't any arrangements I know of," Kisha says. "I think my parents would tell me if there were. If nothing else, it would help me prepare for the event, knowing it was coming and to whom.

"It's actually come up a lot for me recently, and I'm realizing I really don't have much idea about it. And I think I should."

Honoka has to look down at herself to review what she was actually wearing. Her brow furrowing a little bit, then the slight wash of another emotion on her expression.. perhaps embarrassment? Why ever for, one might wonder. Finding a nearby towel she takes it to her face for a couple dabs to make sure she doesn't have any sweat marring her appearance. Then, finally, nods to Kanna.

"Oh yes! Well, most outfits where I shop incorporate this. I rarely shop for things so.." she looks down, the right thing to say would be modern but, "fashionable. So, I tend to make my purchases from Yasuki dealers. Thank you for noticing," she smiles pleasantly and gives a slight bow. "As well, I should thank you for being my partner today! I do not often get the chance to engage in such.. well, physical activities but it was quite fun! You are an excellent partner, Tamori-san."

Note, for our audience at home. It wasn't just the fact that she shops Yasuki that makes half of every outfit in the shop incorporate glowsilk. What Honoka is very aware of, but is trying not to be, is that she shops at excessively expensive stores and does not pay too much mind to what she is purchasing.

While Kanna and Honoka both seemed to come from similar backgrounds and wealthy families, Kanna on the other hand had a much more active and decisive hand in her choice of wardrobe, even if the two probably shopped at approximately the same kind of shops.

"Thank you, Yasuki-sama, for the compliment." She hadn't really expected to be called an excellent partner, and she bows as well.

The Tamori takes a bottle of water and helps herself to some big gulps to properly hydrate after the fun, then returns her attention back to Honoka. "Oh, I just had a thought! Do crabs, the creatures that is not the samurai, play games of any kind or do things for fun? Like how we observe some animals do in the wild, like pups or cubs play-fighting with their siblings?"

"Thank you for staying to watch me compete. I don't know if you really wanted to stick around, but Iam thankful you did."

"I wanted to stay, truly" she insisted with a nod "to cheer you on. Although I didn't really cheer much, but I was quietly cheering in my own way. And as you won, it clearly worked right? A future professional playing career in your future now?"

"And Iam grateful that you did, regardless of reasoning. I know I come off as this... Playboy and charmer and... Well, we've had our fun, but you didn't seem to be.having s good time earlier."

He takes a long sip of his drink. Eyes looking back at the court.

"I was a bit worried. I'm glad to know you feel better, your cheering certainly helped. Though it was a bit weird meeting your eyes after Kakita-sama slapped my ass..." He smirks at her, chuckling loudly remembering the moment.

"I don't think I'll make professional Oshidama anytime soon... But I have a title to defend now, maybe..."
