The call for violence frightened Kanna almost as much as the situation they were in. "No! We don't know that! Besides, he has severe blood loss, so they didn't need to chain him up - probably."

She put her full small height between Akiro and Kaito. "I'm a medic. Give me some space to check on him, ok?"

OOC: Medicine check on Akiro to assess his condition and how hurt he actually is? Can't use Medicine to heal him exactly since we don't have any gear for that!

Nagisa looks around the room now that they have no immediate life-threatening. Of course, she does have to put her foot down and make her own thoughts on the matter heard.

“Your behavior is proving our kidnappers right. You heard the little monologue they had before this? They think we’re weak and not worthy to be samurai. The more we panic and squabble amongst each other, the less likely we are to get out of this.”

"Hah?! What?!" Kaito retorted with a sound of exasperation and wide eyes as not only the Dragon but the lower-Status Kaiu was talking back at him! How dare they! He's the most important samurai here at the moment! ...The most important conscious samurai, that is.

"Fine, check up on him!" He would offer a few patronizing hand gestures to 'do as you will' on the fallen Hiruma. "Don't blame me when he gets up and kills us all for being such gullible dumb fucks! I warned you..."

"Kami-damn children here," he murmured as he now busied himself with opening the shutter bay doors. There was much struggling to be had as he tried to squeeze his fingers in to get a handle to lift it up.

The broken legs she couldn't do much about, but the kami could at least restore the blood loss he had suffered.

"We're not leaving you behind, Hiruma-san. We're all getting out of here!" Kanna said so firmly with conviction. Kaito probably wouldn't help, but probably she or Nagisa could carry him on their backs.

"I don't know how we ended up here, but we work together and get out of here. That voice we heard, whoever it is, they're a piece of... of... dog poo!"

Grunting, Akiro acknowledged Kanna's aid with a curt nod. "Thank you."

Akiro chuckled darkly, a raspy sound. "You have a way with words, Tamori-sama. Truly, a piece of dog poo." He shook his head. "But I cannot walk. I'll only slow you down."

He would not, however, argue further if someone picked him up.

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Nagisa moves towards Kanna, crouching down with a slight frown as she glances at Kaito. She then hooks an arm around Akiro and lifts him up as best she can.

“I think we’re meant to stick and work together, so this is for the best.”

Since Nagisa took on the duty of helping Akiro, Kanna moved over to Kaito. Maybe he had had a moment to cool down now and collect himself. It wasn't that she was scared, she really was, but she couldn't help anyone if she was scared. Her panic earlier had almost seen herself get sawed by a trap!

"Let's work together, Yasuki-sama," she said to Kaito, trying to be encouraging, trying to help him with the shutter bay doors. "I think that is how we'll get out of here."

Kaito didn't seem to pay too much attention to the conversation as he continually tried to pry the door open with his less-strengthy grasp and put his back into it! He would tire himself quickly and take a break from his efforts with a pained since. When he looked back, he saw that Akiro was being carried.

"What?! We're taking him?!" He cried out. "He's going to be dead weight! Let's just leave him and get out of here!"

Nagisa can’t hide the look of disgust on her face as she scoffs. “That kind of behavior is exactly why I chose to help Tamori-sama. I knew she’d try and help you once free. I’m not sure you would have done the same.”

[Hiruma Akiro]

Even Akiro wasn't having any of that.

"Show respect to our Clan's guests, Yasuki-san." He said in a clipped tone. "Or, should we escape from here with our lives, and once... once I can walk again, I shall face a champion of your choosing myself."

[Tamori Kanna]

"Not just guest, but we are allies!" Kanna said firmly, taking no argument on that. "We don't leave another behind. Or so help me, Yasuki-sama, I will slap you if you continue to say such dishonorable things!"

She'd probably have to find something to stand on, but she meant it!

"Let's get this door open and get out of here!"

It seemed just as Kaito was complaining, the shutter doors would activate and slowly lift up for them. At first, they were blinded by bright lights that almost shone with the same intensity that was found in stadiums or high-beam cars. Their eyes would adjust soon, and they found themselves before a field of thick grass that spanned for a short few hundred yards. They were outside but not exactly free in the slightest. There was a long length of rather tall chain-linked fencing on both sides meant to corral them in.

The only way was forward.

The length of the field was flat, and the lights were flooded with light. At the end, there seemed to be a hill that sloped downwards with a wooden sign that had the spray-painted words 'FREEDOM...?'.

There were two sets of speakers that sounded the next challenge. "Your next trial. Will you make it to the end or die trying? All manner of uncertainty will be found in your journey. Will you crack under the pressure or show proper restraint while keeping your lives? Make your choice."

BZZZZT!

The speaker emitted a loud buzzing sound, perhaps one reserved for racing to 'go'.

Scenario 2: The Field
The Players have the initiative!

The players may move forward with their Simple and Free actions.

As an action, the player may individually or as a group utilize a Simple action to roll either Investigation(Notice)/Perception or Hunting(Trailblazing)/Perception at TN 15 to spot the traps. This will allow the group to move up for the remainder of the turn (or the next turn) without running into a trap. This can be done as a single roll with each participant adding either of the above skill ranks to the roll by expending a Simple Action each. This can be broken up collectively rather than one at a time.

If this roll is foregone, every Simple action move, they have a 1 in 2 chance of stepping on a trap. This trap will do 2k2 Damage and prevent the player from moving any further. It will require a Complex action to roll either Engineering/Intelligence or Sleight of Hand/Agility or Athletics/Strength at TN 15 to escape the trap. Anyone near the person can do this.

Once all players expended their actions, the kidnapper will go...

Players may start in Defensive Stance.

Kanna fell silent as the platform started moving, and looked about them nervously. "What..."

This field... she didn't like this at all. It reminded her of a video game, and an open place like this could be trapped. "Be careful," she murmured anxiously to the others.

She grabbed onto Nagisa's hand to guide her, taking the lead herself to go first. "This place is trapped. But I think I see where they are."
