[Day 7 - Early Afternoon] Bid Event: Tsuneo's Shiro

[Kaiu Tetsu]

Tetsu has to bite down a bit of glee. Tsuneo's Shiro? For real?! And they wanted to let samurai compete? He grew up watching it, how could be pass that up? Even just making it through would be a big deal.

Tetsu decides to play it slow and steady. The Oni Puzzle was notorious for a long winding route that you could take if you were patient so why not? The zombies were designed to be a challenge to heimin, but with even basic sword technique there were relatively easy to fight.

Now, the boulders were tough and that's when it dawns on Tetsu that he's not setting any speed records. So just...try to treat it as a practice puzzle. Uncertain terrain was the knockout event. There was no "to much preparation" for it..well maybe there was, but at this point Tetsu commits and it's a surprisingly easy stroll. The "Onikage" is nothing compared to Ol' Drumstick the Otori so Tetsu cruises through

A microphone is to his face "You just set the record for the slowest passing course time. Any comment?"

Tetsu shrugs "So, you're saying I passed?" He flashes a double V for victory and leaves to a mix of cheers and boos

The event is closed.

The crowd clapped and cheered for the participants of the event, doing their best to withhold all laughter from any embarrassing situations. Some were even given commentary for their live performances by the show's hosts! While a few crossed the finished line, some would be lost to the Shadowlands, either eaten by a zombie, swallowed up by the living earth, or merely tossed into a pit of acid by an onerous onikage!

In the end, there were three winners with the best record! The Unicorn Clan dominated the event, showing everyone how their ancestors crossed through the Shadowlands without incident! Maybe not exactly how, but the point stands. There was also a Scorpion Clan participant who just managed to appear at the finish line, the footage might have to be studied...

There were audible gasps when Kitsune Kiyoshi fell to the zombie. Some were wondering if he was mocking the event or just merely didn't have "it" anymore...
