[Day 4 - Early Afternoon] RP Thread: Fan Con

[Yasuki Taraka]

"Oh, hello... again? Yasuki Taraka-san, right?" It takes Sorato a couple of beats to identify this particular Doji Yayoi as the same Misfortune he'd also met at Ochiba's party last night, thanks to the costume change. "Whole in body. Mostly in mind. I can't understand how I forgot goblins have five toes, not four..." He shakes his head sheepishly.

Taraka chuckled.

"Now you'll never get that job as a shoe salesman at Big Ugg's Shoe Place." she said amused. "Hopefully despite showing that the Phoenix are not, in fact, an inexhaustible source of all the Empire's knowledge, you had fun? Has fancon lived up to your expectations?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

He shook his head. "MCA Integrated keeps trying to set up a reunion special. But, the others moved on years ago. I've been doing shirt tours with the Detective between shooting. Kitsune Biopharmaceuticals is considering sponsoring a longer one, if the show goes on hiatus again."

A young boy and his parents got a few selfies with the Detective.

[Yasuki Honoka]

Having recently just finished helping escort a cute samurai couple, Honoka dressed as a favorite character of hers which we would recognize as Aquawoman. Watching Umiko's entrance, and the opening of her table, she would have wear a small smile seeing her friend but didn't dare get any closer. Fearing she might be seen and find herself embarrassed she watches for a moment from afar but ultimately decides more space would be safer.

Finding herself stepping away into a more quiet book and the tables and stalls, Honoka sits down. Taking a brief moment to herself she would look down at her plushie counterpart Crabbo. Moving his face to make it appear he is thinking and talking she would said quietly to herself, "We did good I think. Say, you're paying for all this right? I only agreed to come if you paid."

Patting his head she set him back at her side and had a quiet little laugh to herself, and she had to admit it was a little strange to hear herself laugh.

[Yasuki Umiko]

He shook his head. "MCA Integrated keeps trying to set up a reunion special. But, the others moved on years ago. I've been doing shirt tours with the Detective between shooting. Kitsune Biopharmaceuticals is considering sponsoring a longer one, if the show goes on hiatus again."

"Mm," Umiko murmured in understanding as she gave a few nods of her head as she was presented with a few sets of photos to sign for a guest who wasn't present at the convention, likely given by a representative in their stead. She would talk as she signed a few of them. "That is unfortunate, but that could only mean that they've been keeping busy with their own opportunity. I know for certain that it would be next to impossible to get my group back together, especially since we're a massive group. It would be peculiar if we could actually get together on short notice, especially at this stage in our careers."

"Have you considered...a career outside of entertainment?" she asked curiously as she was done, someone taking all the photos and carefully putting them in a large envelope.

"I am a supporter of the Tsukune no Saisei no Kibou Wildlife Sanctuary on the World of Dreams. That's increased my interest in conservation." he responded. "If I could teansition into supporting more sanctuaries and raise awareness of ecological issues, I would be quite happy."

"I would imagine that some starpower would certainly aid in the awareness front, it's very easy to draw the attention first, but getting them to listen is a whole other challenge. For the past year, most of my popularity has been focused on the island and province. Much smaller than the entertainment business, but there are still some amusing avenues. I'm sure you've seen my monorail commercial," she chuckled before taking a sip of water, then taking an aside to focus her attention on an Aoi48 doll still in its original box.

He still kept the skirt but added some capri pants underneath so that it could give him the comfort of having pockets. Kaito made use of those pockets with both hands in them, as he strolled over to where Honoka was sitting.

He still kept the skirt but added some capri pants underneath so that it could give him the comfort of having pockets. Kaito made use of those pockets with both hands in them, as he strolled over to where Honoka was sitting.

"Oh, no one," she says quietly, with an unaffected voice. Realizing, however, who was approaching there was a sudden start-shift in heras she sat up a little straighter and embodied the rather sleek scaling she was wearing.

"I mean, I was speaking with the creatures of the deep! Ensuring they were well prepared and enjoying the afternoons festivities," she says, working herself up into a slightly more boisterous voice.

[Agasha Sorato]

Taraka chuckled.

"Not individually inexhaustible, anyway. If there were two of us in there..." Sorato makes a dutiful, if perhaps only half-serious, effort to defend his clan's honor. "It has been fun, though. I don't do this very often. Next time, if there is one, I ought to get a costume," he adds, brows quirking. He does feel a bit underdressed compared to his current companion.

"Not individually inexhaustible, anyway. If there were two of us in there..." Sorato makes a dutiful, if perhaps only half-serious, effort to defend his clan's honor. "It has been fun, though. I don't do this very often. Next time, if there is one, I ought to get a costume," he adds, brows quirking. He does feel a bit underdressed compared to his current companion.

"Between the costume party last night, fancon, and the larp tonight, the island costume shops have been having record sales, I'm sure. If you need someone to put in a word to get your order bumped up in the queue, don't hesitate to reach out, Agasha-san."

She looked over the sea of costumed folks.

"To be fair, I think part of fancon's magic is that it's not an every day occurrence. A chance to think about the things that bring us joy, rather than the things that we do to pay the rent. It's the sushi on the rice that is everyday." she remarks.

[Kakita Hiroki]

A small mountain of plushies . . . . well a small Crane carrying a mountain of plushies was attempting to stuff them all into a bag but kept getting distracted by the actual plushies.

"They are all soooooooo cute. I don't know which ones to keep and which ones to give to the boys."

He looked at a pair of pastel pink limited edition mujina in rabbit suits.

"Well . . . one of you two fine gentlemen is going to Ta-kun."

He laughed softly. "It did make me want to ride it. I appreciate how involved you and your sister are in your community. Even here at the con. You came out for your fans and I heard she's is participating in a game tonight. "

"Oooh, I've heard neat things about Javeliner. That's the one with the mecha-clans, right?" Kanna hadn't played the other games either, but they sounded exciting!

Tetsu is walking the con when another elaborate costume catches his eye. "Nice work! Game recognizes game!" Tetsu bows on a set of armor that looks more practical than it should be. "Kaiu Tetsu. at your service"

"Yeah, games are neat!" It seemed she missed the finer points of metaphors! "I am Tamori Kanna of Usagi no Yomogi spa, and this is Shinjo Suh-Huyn who is an awesome pilot! It's nice to meet you Kaiu-san. Did you need assistance to find games? I am here to help FanCon attendees," she twirled her magical staff (safely made of plastic and foam).

"It is! The mecha customization is insane. One of the engineers back on base was running it, they let me sit in on a game when we were stuck at the office." She nodded in turn, pulling the book out to show it off, "How about your haul. Looks like if you get any more that poor man is going to collapse."

Suh-Hyun looks up at the suited up Kaiu, little horse ears wiggling, "That's an impressive job. Sculpted foam or vacuum formed plastic? And the lighting setup, switches hidden in the palm or do you have it on a like a timer?"

The one degree of association here was a bit too much for Kaito to make an immediate connection regarding Honoka and Umiko's friendship. Giving up trying to figure it out, he would regard her as a new acquaintance instead.

"Sorry, I thought I saw you lining up for Yasuki Umiko earlier. You might have lost your spot...but no matter, I'm Yasuki Kaito, Executive Producer at the Silver Fin Productions, Tango Province Office. Well...not an executive producer at this very moment," he said in regards to his current cosplay outfit of choice before presenting his card.

"Just a guy chilling around and getting a feel of things to report back. Are you doing well, Yasuki-san?"

He turns his head for a moment to watch an especially attenuated leech-wraith (probably?) on stilts stalk by. "More so since I won't be here for this one on Green Carp again, at least not soon. I think there's one on Ujimitsu, but I'm hardly ever there..." he shakes his head, sheepish. "I'd better enjoy the magic while it lasts."

"Oh my, these are so rare!" she would say regarding the doll box and was sure that have a side-by-side picture taken of the box for the fan before putting a signature with a silver marker. Umiko gave it a customary small wave to dry the ink before returning it to the fan. "Thank you for the honour! I hope you enjoy your stay!"

She would return her attention to Kiyoshi and dip forward in a bow. "That's wonderful to hear! Be sure to claim your Tobiuo transit pass at each stop on the monorail, if you're into collecting such things. We recently redesigned them to have special art for each stop. My presence here is the least I can do in support of Fan Con."

Her good mirth would fade slightly, and she narrowed her eyes at the mention of something. "Sorry...a game? I'm not aware of a game...Do you mean the escape room?" She motioned the direction of the express escape room found below.

Looking down at herself and taking in the sight of herself. Gosh, it felt suddenly so awkward again. Despite the support to feeling any other way she was suddenly Honoka again and in this silly outfit. Heat rising to the surface of her skin full body she was struggling to look up fully.

"I am doing well. I'm enjoying the.. event," yes, a perfectly correct word. "I believe we may have met briefly in passing the other day. I am Yasuki Honoka, senior management at Yasuki Data Inc. I also happen to have my own restaurant that I opened recently actually but that's..."

Well, that's silly is what she thought but she drifted off and didn't fully commit to admitting that.

"You have an excellent outfit though, Yasuki Kaito-san. Did you make it yourself, or purchase it? I fear I am always far too busy to make my own and must purchase them."

"Ah too true, it is a shame that your duties have only brought you to Green Carp for a short while. I've met quite a few people over the past few days, and I've found myself wishing they could stay. But before we know it your time here will be an end, and you'll be taking back off to the far reaches of the Empire. So I suppose that fancon is but a brief moment in a brief moment, and all of it should be savored." she muses.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Oh! You even have Juzo-kun's print! So, you've been to the sactuary?"

Kiyoshi signed a t-shirt with a first season image of The Detective and the Mystery 5. A signature was now beside nearly every member, along with a large monkey paw print.

"Good luck with the others!"

He looked back to Umiko. "I heard some fans talking about a big game tonight. One of those role-playing things. They mentioned that she was involved in an important role."
