[Day 2 - Early Afternoon] My First Market (RP Thread)

[Soshi Kotori]

"I-" The ghost flustered, a gentle.dusting of pink on her cheeks, before crossing her arms. "Chibori-kun, my charge during the event, led me to this stand as a manner of rest. I indulged him."

Which didn't explain a second go.

"Ah, I see. Thst makes... perfect sense." She teases, at least pretending to give them an out. "Well, did Chibori-kun recommend any flavours?"

[Yasuki Taraka]

"Tori Tea," she revealed. "If you'd like to swing buy after First Market, I'd be honored to have tea with you. Selling is thirsty work after all.

"It is!" Kisha agrees, "And I hadn't really realized it until just now! So I'll be happy to meet you there, Yasuki-san!"

Her enthusiasm is sincere and unforced. She really is just that effervescent.

Taraka nodded firmly...just as there was a tug on her sleeve by her client.

"Ah, I look forward to it, Miya-san. If you'll excuse me, my client needs some consulting work on our current project." she said, looking to turn her attation back to First Market.

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"Ah, I see. That makes... perfect sense." She teases, at least pretending to give them an out. "Well, did Chibori-kun recommend any flavours?"

"Chibori recommends citric flavors for the heat. I already had orange, and it is good. I am going to try some of the local fruit for a change." Ichitaiyo replied with crossed arms and a gentle sneer, letting the tease affect her in play. Because a kid would absolutely know what the word 'citric' means at their age.

[Moto Shiwahime]

"You know what? That isn't a half bad idea...and I'm the one who invited you on the trip, Moto-san, let me rent the yacht. I've briefly seen a few of the other Unicorn around, would any of them be interested in coming along? I'd like to meet some cousins in spirit and share stories."

''Yeah but it's my idea, let's split it fifty-fifty.'' she gave a nod ''I'll send the message. Our local Utaku can actually sail the damn boat. How many of youse phoenixes are here?''

[Asako Hikari]

"I can live with that, Moto-san. There is myself and Agasha Sorato-san. Not many were dispatched here it seems. Also, good to know. Utaku seem to be born to fly and sailing is just flying through the water right?" He gives a bit of a mischievous smile before nodding.

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Okay, that gets a little bit of a smile out of Kazushi - a small crack in the mask of the disdainful hardass he'd been trying to maintain.

"As I said, necessary," he agrees. "Even our little fishie here is not immune to the charms of the shadows..."

"I can live with that, Moto-san. There is myself and Agasha Sorato-san. Not many were dispatched here it seems. Also, good to know. Utaku seem to be born to fly and sailing is just flying through the water right?" He gives a bit of a mischievous smile before nodding.

"I also know a chill Otomo so we can be a team of six"

She shrugged

"Unless you find it to be too crowded?"

[Miya Kisha]

Taraka nodded firmly...just as there was a tug on her sleeve by her client.

She steps back, and she mills about some more to see if there are others to talk to...and the drone records a bit as she does.

"Not to besmirch the honorable and just Otomo, Moto-san, but finding an Otomo that is chill is about as rare as finding a Yoritomo with the ability to properly assess when a task is too difficult for them...but I'll take your word for it." He smirked but nodded.

"However, we should probably clear out and let other people get in with their volunteering work, eh? Send me a message along and we can meet up for the rental."

Overhearing this, Kazushi doesn't disengage from his conversation with the Spider or the mascot, but he does glance over in the Asako's direction, a decidedly unfriendly expression crossing his face.

Umiko curiously followed Hitomi's gaze to Mariko for a moment. It seemed the girl had a bit of potential, coming from a similar circumstance, despite an entirely different creative realm than Umiko had come from. "The Empire was still quite young when it was only on one land, it was likely they were weaving those generational expectations together to build a sure foundation in the future. I don't think that they expected an expansion to the stars, of course. The fruits of a tree ultimately look much different than their roots. We are ultimately part of the same tree, much like yourself and your sister."

"My sister does have some fame of her own, too, of course. Although her fame is perhaps more of the traditional sort that you would expect of samurai in the Rokugan of old," she nodded slowly at that as she gave up the search with a tinge of annoyance that she fought down soon after. "That isn't to say that none of my own clout doesn't have any play here already. I've managed to use my fame and my family connections to get some support from Silver Fin Productions, have them reciprocate some aid for my contribution and service there. It will be evident tomorrow when they begin their campaign to produce some Tango Province-specific content as well as help host some events."

Hitomi nods. "Hai, Yasuki Ayame-sama would have seen a good deal of fame in Crab courts in those centuries."

Seeing the Kaiu move on, she feels the need to return to oversee her charge soon. "I look forward to seeing the Silver Fin campaign kick in. And I do hope you'll let me know if there's anything further I can assist with. I, and the Sparrow, share your family's desire to see this province, and Green Carp as a whole, thrive." With the shop there, they'd share in the world's ups and downs, certainly.

Kotori reaches into her pocket for a few coins.

"And what would you like Kitsuki-san?"

Umiko raised her brows momentarily at Hitomi's comforting words. As comforting as they were, the Way of the Carp was not too different from the Doji line of training. Going back to their conversation, there were certain expectations and molds established in the Empire of old. At the root level, there were some similarities.

However, she wouldn't be so open to sharing her concerns today.

"Thank you, Suzume-san. You are very much part of this community, and we very much appreciate your continued support," she said politely on the matter, providing a quick bow of gratitude.

Day 2 - Early Afternoon, Etiquette/Awareness vs Hitomi's Doji Tech 1! | 8k4 ⇒ 36 (TN: 25)

[Bayushi Hinata]

Sumiko had bowed before she'd been shuffled on quickly, managing to avoid laughing as she got further away.

"I had my young protégé firmly in control and listening to my guidance" Sumiko offered with a grin "he was well advised of the best ways to sell the stock, how to corner a market and some creative marketing. I think Bayushi-sama could borrow some of that too, to steer his young charge to where they need to go with some creative thinking."

She looked at the plushie with a warm smile, accepting it and holding it close before speaking again.

"I would recommend some bubble tea. I think they set up a stall nearby, a good blend of fruits will refresh your mind and body and give you the energy to face your tyrant. Or if it's too bad they do have alcohol! For me a nice lemonade boba will do the world of good. We're too far from the shop that sells the nebula one, that is amazing."

The man sighs, rubbing the back of his head as he answers. "I think I did a plenty respectable job considering my skillset. Iam much better versed in buying things than selling them if I'm being honest." Honesty? From a Scorpion? wild.

"Sango-san's a good kid, I think I'll just tough it out the rest of the day. Unless of course you'd like to help me, I wouldn't mind spending some more time together." He smiles warmly at her, looking down from his distractingly high perch. The Ninja plushie is helf by his side, he gives it a look before bringing up to the side of his face and grinning at Sumi.

"Bubble tea then! I could definetely do with some mango to recharge. Alcohol, I don't much drink to ease dealing with bossy merchants. I'd rather use it to loosen up in a different context... This way then?" He gives her a conspiratorial smile before he turns to stride away, making sure to slow down so Sumi can match his pace.

"You enjoying the island? It feels homey in a way I think. Reminds me of the smaller towns in the World of Dreams."
