[Yasuki Honoka]

"No no, no," she says, propping up her defense of the idea but as she tries to piece through it all it's a little fuzzy. "Just like.. not multiple partners, but little investments. Not enough to cut ourselves to pieces and give it all away but a shop, a little piece of the pie so everyone, even though it's not much, has a little slice of the pie so they're invested in seeing the pie stay whole," she says, furrowing her brow. That surely made sense, right? Gosh, she shouldn't be talking about this while she was drunk. But then again, that is the purview of someone who is drunk: all the things you shouldn't be doing but are.

"I think I get it..." she said slowly with a nod of her own, even if Honoka couldn't see it through the conversation. Despite being an ex-idol and ex-actress, she had a semblance of business understanding of business. Did she in the middle night? That was another issue altogether.

Umiko rubbed her face a little before she spoke. "Mrrrm, so kind of a share of a business, right? Then you have to work out how much of the profit they get for their contributions. That's a good idea, but I'm not so sure if businesses here are concerned about needing capital, more about needing revenue and income? Well, I guess investors might be persuaded to urge customers to their investments, but I'm not so sure if that many investors would be so hands-on involved, maybe save for a few."

"Kind of.." she trials, wracking her brain for how she could get her exact idea across. Umiko would hear a number of mmm's, and ahh's, and Honoka slid onto the side of her bed and put her hand to her chin in thought. Laying back, a soft push of air as she falls into place she gets it.

"Aha! Like a community center! Or something. Well, the idea you have isn't quite off but the motivation is more like.. if you're welcome at the community center you would take care of it better and hope better for its success. Even more so if you have your own locker there, right. So, if we let everyone at least get their own locker here then it would benefit the island by having everyone rooting for us. We may not be the biggest consideration for them, but considerations would be favorable.. I would think!"

Umiko giggled at the idea of a community centre and the use of lockers. Was the idea adorable, or was it so late that she could almost giggle at everything? She would turn the side she was lying on to better talk without straining her hand or needing to balance the communicator on her head.

"...but there is a sort of community centre here, sort of...there's the business on Frindship Street and there are quite a few other Clan businesses. The Golden Shopping Street, too, with Suzume Hitomi-san's business and the Harbourfront with Yoritomo Yakura-san's business. There are a few lockers here already for people to put their money. It's nice that they've chosen to put their lockers here and involve themselves, but it's not enough."

Umiko brushed some hair out of her face. "Mmm, I think we're trying to give them a whole room in the community centre instead, with the promise that they'll tell all of their friends, 'hey, we got a neat room where you can put all of your things,' then all of their friends start coming by. Then those friends tell their friends...and so forth. Then we get a percentage from both the room and those friends coming. Does that make sense?" She hoped it did, because it barely did to her.

"Yea..." Honoka trails off, the sound of shifting sheets as she slides into bed and curls up. Surrounded by truly so many pillows there was almost a slight caved-in sound to Honoka's voice. "That does make sense. I just.. I want what's best for Shiawase. I don't really know exactly how best to do that, but I'm trying real hard. Because what's best for Shiawase is what's best for..." she doesn't finish that thought verbally. Shifting audibly for more comfort in her bed, curled hope holding her communicator close.

Umiko hung on to her words and waited for her to "...Honoka-chan?" she said curiously to see if she was still on the other line.

She let out a tired sigh, one that was likely more tired than her actual physical state internally. This one felt like it came from the heart than anything else. Her gaze would find itself up. If it were some dramatic situation, she would see clear stars in the night sky.

Instead, she merely got the ceiling of her room. Perhaps some beams, a light, with a ceiling fan. There wasn't anything obvious or certain there. Maybe much like her future, despite what that Dragon's divination told her.

"Me, too," she would say with a sigh.

"We should spend more time together, yes," she says, her voice shifting and relaxing. Finding herself far more tired with every moment. Reaffirming her major and most important takeaway. "I've really missed you, this. I'm also sleepy.. very sleepy," she digs herself out of her blanket cocoon and looks out over the large room around her. All lit up with the room lights, giving the space a very different feeling than sleep just yet.

"Thank you for coming back.." she shakes her head, no that wasn't what she was supposed to say, "thank you for talking with me tonight Umiko-chan. We should.. we will do this more. I hope?"

As much as Umiko might have considered taking this opportunity to catch up with Honoka, which might have been an option if there were far younger, she was likewise tired and had quite an early morning at the fish market. When she was presented with the opportunity, she found herself readily agreeing with Honoka. "...yeah, it's getting kind of late, and you should sleep. I do miss you too, and it's a shame that we haven't met up recently."

Perhaps a bit funny that it would be Kaito of all people to arrange their next occasion they had together.

"...you don't have to thank me," she said with a laugh, feeling a bit silly and tired enough to perhaps find that more funny than she thought. "Always fun, Honoka-chan...just sleep well, okay? Don't worry about anything."

"But I have to, for you, my father, for.." she says sleepily drifting off on the list after she got the important ones labeled. Honoka's words turning into sleepy mumbles instead of actual verbalizations. With a few sharp shifts of her body and sheets crinkling over the comm the horrendous background noise is sharply cut by two resounding claps.

In Honoka's room the claps cause the lights to turn off and plunge her into darkness. The light of her communicator the only thing now lighting up her face, "I'll sleep well. You sleep well too. And come by sometime, whenever. I'll clear a place in my schedule for you... whenever," she promises with the conviction of a woman who could tell only truth in her sleepy state. "Also sorry for waking you. But thank you. But sorry, and..." Honoka doesn't continue and the soft sound of her breathing could be heard as she's fallen asleep.

Umiko would remain on the line a bit longer, even as Honoka started breathing into the communicator and making likely-sleeping sounds. After a moment, she shifted in her own best to get comfortable herself, letting a small sigh. She would check on Honoka once more, as much as she good with only her ear.

"Good night, Honoka-chan," she said quietly before hanging out and going to sleep herself.
