The tiny Lion wanted to futher her line of study and try this catching fish thing but alas the Lioness was not that good with fish. But a learning experience nonetheless.

Re: [Day 5 - Early Morning] Bid Event: Sturgeon Wars
Kiyoshi liked the water, but he wasn't a fisherman. He didn't particularly like eating fish, either. He knew very little about fish overall. But, he'd come to does his part in representing the Minor Clans and fostering good will with the people of the island. It couldn't be that hard to judge the value of a fresh catch could it?
"Oh, that's very large eel. And, I see that it's very fresh. Is that why you haven't pulled it entirely ashore? Yes, I'd be happy to place a bid... Wrapping itself around my ankle isn't normal is it?"
A noticeably wet Kiyoshi crossed eel of his list of fish to bid for as he moved on to the next fisherman. This time, he'd keep his distance.
"A greatshark, right? Fortunes, they're larger and more terrifying than I'd heard. Every time I look at it, it seems bigger... and closer...."
A walking shark. That was definitely not normal. There was probably a mujina causing mischief again. Or, a kappa. What would very more on theme than that? An orochi? An angry orochi would be very bad. One more bid, just one.
"These are shellfish, right. They don't have some sort of hive mind that allows then to swarm together to form an armored clam warrior? Alright, I'm all in. No! Not all of them. Just these. Better safe than sorry."

Re: [Day 5 - Early Morning] Bid Event: Sturgeon Wars
Ryosei knew absolutely nothing about fish or fish markets but he figured he would give it a try anyway. As he came by the various catches he leaned in studying them with a keen eye. Yes this indeed was a shark, perhaps even a great shark but was it the greatest shark? he was unsure but it was certainly large and shark like. but he did not think it was the shark he was looking for.
the clams, quite clamy yes, likely muscley even but he had little use for clams or muscles or..oysters? yes they could be oysters but he didn't need those either.
then this last.......thing...he was, actually not rightly sure what this thing was but it was an impressive thing. Surely no one would eat it but probably stuff it? all the spines and sharp teeth would certainly look ferocious in someone's den. Ryosei thought this might be the one but he was alas outbid by someone who looked like they would definitely put it in their den. Probably tell someone they fished it out themselves and make up a long story about how hard fought it was.
Alas he walked away pocket bereft of fish but at least he hadn't spent any money.

Fish? Fish. Fish!
This took Tetsu back, though probably not to the happiest memories. Still, it was worth trying to make the most of what he had. Of course, the shark is probably the thing he want to get close to the least.
Yeaaaaaah, I'm going to let someone else take that one
He makes a half hearted effort to bid, but keeps his eyes open for more chances.
The thing of shellfish is...well, not his forte, but come on now, sex sells, and that he manages to flip for a bit over value.

The event is closed.
The warehouse was cold and very fishy. Some of the Tenjin Town locals were surprised to see some of the visitors, and even some of the Nakahama City dwellers, set foot in the warehouse. However, their appearance here wasn't enough! They had to show that they could talk the talk, getting the best possible deal with buying fish! Just as Yasuki herself would have intended for the Family!
At the end of the day, the most business-savvy fishbidder was Yasuki Taraka at 33 Fish Points! This is followed by Kitsuki Ichitaiyo at 28 Fish Points, and finally Yoritomo Ochiba at 25 Fish Points!
