A large majority of the Tenjin Town population is found on the coast with structures precariously erected on the water, only anchored by the few islets and foundations on the water. Homes made of wood and sheet metal sit atop of docks, while the few bits of land are taken up by old brick structures that have seen better days from decades of weathering. Multiple bridges and walkways connect pedestrians to all parts of the coast, but the preferred mode of transportation remains small engine rafts that can easily cut through the already congested walkways.
It is said that a majority of Nakahama's heimen workforce resides here and relies on public transportation to travel to Nakahama City. Junk boats and ferries are a constant sight on the waters, with a steady traffic of fishers attending to crystal shrimp farms and extracting the ocean's bounty daily. The scent in the air in some neighbourhoods is unmistakably dried seafood, fish sauce, and oil flash cooking. It might be an unsightly place at first glance, but the heart of the town has a quaint charm to it, with the populace making the best of their environment to find some prosperity in their trade. Some of the busier streets host stores of daily-caught fish directly from the fishers and fresh produce. Visitors can enjoy street food from the town's many stalls selling freshly made ebiyaki, taiyaki, chicken rice, and fried tentacles, just to name a few offerings.
