[D4 ME Nakahama by Night] The Reign of Revere!!

[Yoritomo Yakura]

Lady Laura Dracobathor, the Relentless War Lady of the Blue Mist, Eternal Trickster and Forever Haunter, was on the prowl tonight.

She was flashing her revere card at everyone and everything.

"I rule the night, beware foul rebels, beware of the Thorn of the Rose! And the stem! And the leaf-thingy! It stings! Like a bee!"

She was having the time of her life.

"Dear Cousin..." It was a hidden secret that Ami L O V E D the Edge of Darkness role-playing system. In every edition. At her home, she had the latest and most controversial edition, published by Ledge Publishing, known as NuEoD, which used it's own proprietary dice that had symbols instead of numbers, using hits, blanks, and the weird angst system.

It wasn't popular, but she loved it, and all the sourcebooks, even as the current publisher took forever to release new books. And just sat on the IP.

Not that anyone was bitter about that at all.

But that was neither here nor there. She, as the Dame Carumira Arikado, approached her rival of the Rose. Her Revere card kept at hand. "Change is inevitable. The old order has to be swept away." Ami truly loved hamming it up.

[Yoritomo Yakura]

Yakulaura, bared her thangs and hitthhhed.

"Us? Immortals? Change? Never you foul betrayer." She turned her nose up....up until it was fully horizontal. "Your foul yet weak magic won't hold against my foul yet strong sorcery!"

She flashed her card....and then grabbed a dice and shook it. "I've got...2 fours."

[Shinjo Suh-Hyun]

Dame Carnesi had been beaten at the Bay and now fled in the Residential Blocks. Apparently she was now considered too weak to engage in any more fighting. Also Suh-Hyun was barred as a player from fighting, apparently sparring was not the conflict resolution method. Even if you were careful.

Regardless she slowed her bike and came to rest near the two warring leech-wraiths. Flipping up her visor and leaning forward, apparently forgetting her riding jacket was open and partly taped open.

As this was a solemn duel and her clan was honorable, Dame Carnesi would not interfere.

[Susumu Ami]

Ami had been prepared for the LARP-style of resolution with Jan-Ken-Po, but when Yukara brought out her dice, Ami quickly fished into the clutch she used for carrying the essentials.

"One second... let me just..." she whispered as she rifled through her clutch, finally pulling out the little plastic box of dice. Assembling her dice pool, and double checking her character sheet for any emphases or flaws that could come into play.

"Okay I need to tick off two sanguine points for this aaaand...." she rolled, tilting her head. "No hits, but not a botch. I forgot how backwards this edition can be. Where the better you are at the skill the greater the chance of critically failing..." before composing herself again, baring her fake fangs.

"So we stand at a crossroads, Cousin!"

"The saceed duel of the crimson path speaks truth, we stand unresolved."

She noticed the new arrival, checked her sheet, then brought a new flashcard. "I cast Revere 2:...crimson bogaloo? Really?"

It might have been mildly effective.

"Ugh...I think you're supposed to dance for me?"

[Susumu Ami]

Ami would also notice the newcomer, taking a long glance at her cosplay, and then down at her own. I wish I could pull that off. I don't trust enough tape to be able to keep a jumpsuit on like that... shaking her thought from her head for a moment, she then looked to her Revere description.

"Am I dancing, or is she dancing?" She looked to Yakura, then to the Motorbike riding Unicorn.

Then a cough. "LARPing isn't a spectator sport, Bike-san. Come." She waved her over. "Join us!"

[Shinjo Suh-Hyun]

Suh-Hyun pulled off her helmet, "I am afraid the Queen's loyal knight Dame Carnesi has been gravely injured by craven rebels and must heal or flee!"

She pulls out a piece of paper from her pocket and opens it, "Also...'Dame Carnesi, player Shinjo Suh-Hyun, is barred from further conflict after resolving conflict in an unsanctioned manner,' Uhh... sparring in my case...'however given both the players newbie status and genuine apology, she may participate in a non scoring capacity and her points for the Queen will be counted up until this ruling was issued.'"

She breathed out, "Sorry bit of a long read there. I'll try to be in character again!"

Hoping off her bike she actually approaches, realizes she supposed to be injured and switched to limping. "Craven cowards! The White Ivory Clan fights to the death! For the rightful... bountiful," the bountiful is in monotone, giving a very I can't believe I have to say this vibe, "Queen!"

[Moto Shiwahime]

''So...'' a new voice joined the fray, dripping with oozing contempt ''...this is where thou hast run to.''

The footfall of slow and ponderous steps could be heard before Marquise Chimère appeared from the darkness of the alley. Shiwahime was far from a good actress but she had seen her share of plays and tried her darn best to incarnate the Chevalière. She even wore boots with heels. HEELS! Not practical...but rule of cool and all. It also allowed her to sway her hips menacingly? Yes, menacingly.

''Thy weak and...'' she peeked at her hand ''...lascivious Queen will meet her Doom!''

"You...should be dancing? Unless you have Iron Will of the Dead, which measn you're immune." She murmured.

Seeing the new rebel come up, she realized she didn't like the odds.

"Cowardly horde, coming for us? No worries, I still have my darkest of secret arts. NOCTURNE OBLIVIONS: THE DARKENING, LET LIGHT DIE AWAY!" She yelled as she pulled 2 black napkins from her bag. "Here put this on, it indicates we're invisible. They can't hear us."

[Shinjo Suh-Hyun]

The Moto's arrival brought a sigh, Suh-Hyun had been holding the Bay pretty well until the Marquise arrived. Well and the proctor had gotten mad at the whole tossing someone through foam crates thing.

The bike chase had been pretty bad awesome though. Maybe next time rig up some foam lances and...

"I'm not beaten yet Marquise! My power maybe weakened but I'll reclaim the Bay!" She dropped out of character for a second, "Good costume by the way Moto-san."

Turning to the Mantis, "Do I just put this on my head...in a pocket?" And back in character, "Ha! With such power our enemies have no hope!"

[Moto Shiwahime]

Marquise Chimère silently mouthed a Thank you and a you too to her Shinjo cousin before the mighty ability was annouced.


Her eyebrows quirked ''Humm...TASS...sorry are you sure that's how that ability work? Pretty sure cloaking more then yourself is the level five ability...and we get a chance to pierce the veil anyway?''
