She slips the sleeve off and starts quickly stitching in the gauzey extensions. "Oh?" Hitomi's expression is obviously surprised, though whether that's by the fact she was right or by the Yoritomo's obvious boldness in proving it so is unclear.

"Umm...so you approached her?" She blinks and continues sewing...there's a deadline here. "I do think she's been considered very admirable, with her combat record and lineage and all..." She's not even going to mention that outfit last night.

"And like, very hot, I mean, did you see the outfit last night?"
Same road, but the Mantis was clearly doing 40 over the speed limit in the overtaking lane.

"We've uhh, hung out a little. Obviously nothing major since she's you know, the Governor. Oh and I have a date date with a local tonight. Now he's cute too, but like you know Ayame-sama is cute hot, he's kinda cute-blush. Do you know anything about him? Kuni Ryosei? He runs a little fleshcrafting business."

The Sparrow shakes her head to derail that train of thought and focus. "Oh? Kuni-sama? He's been around a short while. A bit quiet in the commerce committee meetings, but there are plenty that are there out of duty and not really for socializing." She's silent a moment thinking of anything else she's heard. "I get the feeling that some of the established Crab aren't fond of him. Don't know why though. Maybe it's the fleshcrafting? A lot of traditionalists don't like it." She found it a bit distasteful, herself. But so was surgery in general, and she wasn't going to shun the medics.

She makes a small, unamused noise, eyebrows lifted and gets back to finishing of the rushed sewing. "Something cliche about nobody can hear me scream?" Which would be a bit silly as they can clearly hear Ishika up front greeting someone after the door chime sounds.

"I guess that increases the odds that Kaiu-sama *is* a serial killer. They're not very big odds, I think, but they've just gone up if you're not one."

Ochiba looks dangerously like she's going to raise both of her hands in protest unless stopped.
"I've barely broken any laws since I arrived here, even that stuff with Kuni-sama, it turns out it wasn't even personal, some kind of dick measuring contest thing. Apparently he might have it in for the Governor, can you imagine?"

She does perk up at the serial killer observation though.
"I'll be really put out if he ends up treating to eat me or dissolve me in acid, I've had worse breakups, but not that much worse."

Ochiba looks dangerously like she's going to raise both of her hands in protest unless stopped.

There's a glare from the Suzume as she bites off one last thread and stuffs the outfit into Ochiba's hands. "OK, try that on...um..I guess behind those shelves." Usually she has some hangings up for a temporary changing room when dealing with fittings. But those are scheduled in advance fittings.

There's absolutely not comment on the liklihood of Ochiba being an hour of the dragon morning villain. None at all. That lifted eyebrow is not a comment.

"Hmm, Kuni-sama's predecessor had some feelings about the governor as well. I think they might both have preferred Umiko in the position. I have to imagine their father had reasons for the choice, though." She huffs in amusement at the thought of that date. "Might want to keep Kuni-sama's number handy though. You can ask him about his opinion of Yasuki-sama if you need to call him to help you not dissolve in acid."

Ochiba comes back around the corner, experimentally bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet and then throwing a few shadows punches.
"Hey, this is a good fit, you know your stuff." Turning around. "How's the back? My glutes looking good? That's kinda crucial for date day."
And then revolving fully.
"If I do get dissolved in acid I'm sure you can hit me with an 'I told you so'."

"Wait, did you just make a joke? Suzume-san I reckon I'm rubbing off on you! Hell yeah, I've always wanted to be a positive influence on my fellow samurai."
Ochiba snorts a little.
"Right, I'm off! Catch you round and if I see you on the wrong side of the leech-ghost-samurai-thing this evening...then no mercy!"

"Oh yeah, this is gonna be great. I promise I won't get any acid on it, unless doing so is awesome."

Ochiba snorts a little.

Hitomi looks a bit blank at references to a Spider idol. She really only knew of Umiko's status because she was local.

Thankfully, Ochiba doesn't tend to belabor a topic and moves on. The Sparrow nods at the request for billing, all very standard, offering a wry smile at accusations of a sense of humor. "Wear it in good health, Yoritomo-sama, and...um, yes, see you at the thing tonight, perhaps..."

Sometime today, she really needed to look up what that thing tonight was all about...
