D10EA, Lunch under the Seung Exchange (Expecting)

Following up on a previous arrangement, Miya Kisha has found a table at a little noodle restaurant tucked away in the shopping center under the Seung Exchange. Leave it to a shisha to find good local eats...

[Tamori Kanna]

Following the directions from Kisha's message, Kanna eventually finds the locale for lunch. With the oppressive heat of the day, she has chosen a light summer-dress, and also left her usual companions in a more temperature-regulated location.

"Good afternoon, Miya-sama!" Kanna greeted as she spotted the Miya, waving in a brief greeting, which became a bow as she came closer. "I hope you're well today? This is a pretty cool place you found!"

Kisha rises to greet the Dragon, returning her bow.

"Tamori-san," she says, "I'm glad the directions I gave you worked! I usually manage to find my way, but I'm not always really good at translating what I do such that others can follow along.

"And it is really neat!" the shisha adds. "Broad menu for a place this size, too, although the protein choices are a bit limited. I hope the local shrimp aren't a problem for you."

"Not at all! I've been enjoying all the seafood here, to be honest. It's somewhat of a luxury on my homeworld of Dragon's Eye, so seeing it so widely available here is pretty great."

With a smile, she joins Kisha at the table. "Since you're a Miya, are you from holy Rokugan then?"

[Miya Kisha]

"I am from the homeworld, yes," Kisha replies. "But I haven't been back in a while. The Family keeps me moving from place to place. But that's good, because it lets me meet all kinds of new people and make lots of friends!

"This place has been particularly good for that. Making friends, I mean. I've been lucky to run into so many folks who have such interesting stories to tell. A few of them have even let me record them. I'll be putting together some interesting stuff thanks to them."

She hands Kanna one of the menus that were left on the table. "Let me know what you want."

"That sounds like so much fun! Though having been on the homeworld is amazing too - I hope I can visit it someday myself, see where it all began and all the historical sights..." her tone had a dreamy tone to it as she spoke, clearly having thought about it a lot.

"Belive it or not, this is my first trip outside of Dragon space, and I agree with you. Traveling is indeed the best for making new friends. I've even made some friends here too."

Oh right. Menu. She glanced over it quickly, and saw at least some things that were familiar to her that she quickly settled on. Cold and spicy would be perfect today.

"Bibim-guksu* for me please, thank you."

Kisha waves a server over, relays Kanna's order and adds her own--"The somen, please"--and asks for some water to go with both.

Once the server retreats, Kisha returns her full attentions to Kanna.

"So, what all have you been up to while you've been here?" she asks. "I know I've mostly been staying around town and participating in the events that the governor's been putting on. I did get out into the countryside for a ride, though, which I probably ought to do again. Dento will probably be wanting the exercise, and she'll probably be a little annoyed at me for not visiting more often than I have."

"So much really!"

She clapped her hands together in delight.

"A lot of time has gone into market research, and visiting as many of the local shops as I can to build an understanding with those who live and work here. I don't want to move a new business in here and they don't even know who it is who runs it! So that has taken up a lot of my time, along with divining the most auspicious locations to set up new businesses." Clearly she had put a lot of thought into the work of a harmonious working relationship with the Crab.

"Apart from that, I've had trips into the wilder areas on Nakahama, like the mountains, and jungle. Oh and some trips to Namigashira Bay! The waters there are beautiful, especially for diving."

Speaking of waters, those ordered arrive, and Kisha takes a sip of hers.

"How has all of that gone?" she asks. "I was out a bit for the hunt--snagged a pheasant, which ended up being dinner--and I saw signs of some big lizards, but there's been more than I've been able to take in on my own.

"And what business are you setting up? I think I've managed to get enough set up for MNN to open a small field office or something like it, but I know that that's a different field than yours. I remember you were ambassadoring a brand."
