Kuni Marine

The Kuni watched over Yasuki Umiko, Yasuki Honoka, Yasuki Hiroto....and Yasuki Haruto. He had his sidearm out in case they tried anything funny.

Honoka would look from Umiko to each of the others, giving them gentle smiles and and easing presence as best she might manage. Using the opportunity of this gazing around she too would look at the Kuni before them, watching over them. Everyone else had moved away, and things were appearing tense as someone had arrived. While it was merely a misdirection so she could get a lay of the room around them, she wasn't wholly willing to give up on the idea of it working. Looking to the Kuni she prepared to speak.

"Kuni-san, a moment?" she asks.

Hiroto, for his part, waited.

A quick inspection around the place would remind Honoka that the weapons and all of their key belongings (like communicators) were unceremoniously dropped close to the entryway where they entered from, about 80' feet away.

Oh! There were the bay doors on the side, but those didn't have an obvious switch for them around and were shut closed. The door on the side was just a simple push door that didn't seem locked. There were the pallet skids on one side that could act as internal cover about 20' feet away. Finally, was there the sound of another car coming...?

No action yet, no sign of life and a shut door.

They'd be lucky if the door was unlocked but she didn't think so.

She made a quick evaluation and estimated it would be best if they cut any risks of them getting flanked or finding other way to go in.

Shiwahime would easily zoom off on her bike to the side of the building, passing what looked like two tarped heavy vehicles of sorts and eventually seeing a back door that could lead into the warehouse. She could easily make it until it would require some effort to get in, considering the door was more of a pull than a push, also metal metal-reinforced door. In the distance, she did see another car drive toward them.

...Was that a Magistrate's Office car?

There was just something about someone wearing glasses that said that they were fragile, which only made them an even more delightful target! After all, she did say she was going to start collecting witch hunter corpses! Well, not literally, she wasn't that morbid.

She would aim her scoped rifle and fire a shot at Kuni Junpei as he stood tall and proud, unafraid of the consequences, while his companions were more dodgy.

...It seems that he was luckier than smart...

Hiruma Marine

With the firing commencing with the Captain's first shot, the Hiruma would join in shooting from the second window of the walkway. He wouldn't be so silly as to kill-steal the Captain's target. Instead, he took a shot at the Yoritomo about the same distance as Junpei.

This shot also went wide!

Ryosei moves up with the vanguard next to the magistrate and Ochiba "What part of running full speed toward the crazies is being safe?" He asked Ochiba flatly.

He ducked as he moved when he heard gunfire and drew his sidearm ready to return fire.

The Kuni would look behind him to see how the others were doing. They seemed to have it under control for now. He would look back at Honoko and give a simple, "Yeah?"

However, she stayed put where he was, his drawn sidearm resting against his thigh.

Umiko winced at the shots that were being fired out by both her captors. She couldn't see what was going on but could only imagine that people were dying. Was it a sign of optimism that help was coming or that more people were ending up like Haruto's situation?

Haruto couldn't move, Honoka wasn't leaving. She was staying put.

[Bayushi Hinata]

Hinata breaks into a full sprint... as much as his legs can carry him. He slides to a halt behind the car, and as he does the mask shows it's ultimate purpose.

An unsettling, artificial screech rings out from the crimson visage, the crab might even recognise the wails of ancient Oni when they hear an artificial recreation of their undiluted anguish. It is directed at the rebellious crab, sounding little more than a distant scream to his allies. The directional nature of the weapon thankfully sparing them of the horror it could inflict.

The scream coalesces into the tower where the unit's captain is holed up. The tower rattles, as Nagisa looks down she can see glaring golden eyes looking up at her... Is his shirt unbuttoned? Why?!

"What part of running full speed toward the crazies is being safe?"

“The part where they never expect it!”
She grins, diving to the side as a volley of fire goes wide.
“Look they’re scared already and- oh fortunes siiiick, a Tetsubo!”

Ochiba had been pretty sure that at some point a Hida was going to try to bludgeon her on this trip so there’s not much hesitation as she jams a pistol into the charging bushi’s leg, and lets off a bolt of electricity before continuing her sprint as the heavier Crab sails past.

“See eas-“
And then another samurai screaming like a gaki jogs past the group.
“….uhh. Huh. Well they weren’t expecting that either.”

The mantis slams into the cover of the car and starts waving at the gunso

Ochiba simple action attacks the Hida twice for one hit (24 damage before reduction) and then simple moves forward into cover of the next car!))

Junpei only blinked once when the rifle shot went right at him and just missed. Well, there was something to be said when it came to confidence. However, he wasn't going to risk walking openly like that. They were attacking from a defensible position, and there was a Hida with a tetsubo!

"Stand down! Immediately!" He demanded as he raised his sidearm to fire back at the one who fired the shot at him. While he would have loved to read out his long list of charges and disturbances, he only had a few seconds of time. Hopefully, that did the trick.

He dashed right into cover afterwards.

Meanwhile...

"Kuni-san, have you deeply considered," she pauses, a gunshot rings out halting her line of thought. "T-that this may be your last chance to return to a side that is not kidnapping the karo of a governor," more gunfire rings out, Honoka winces, "A-and and the daughter of another? Your future needn't be forfeit if you escort us out of this building, I will speak on your behalf in any further legal matters. Of this, I can certainly," the crash of the front door blasting open, "certainly! Certainly assure you, Kuni-san," she says, but she wasn't on stage anymore, everyone's eyes weren't all on her, her earlier persona falters, and now there was so much actual gunfire!!

That nervousness returned to her. Without the wherewithal to control it at the moment like she always does her hand can be shaking, ever so slightly.

Hiroto for his part, eyes the backs of those fighting and then the weapons on the floor. Making a mental plan in his head, and waiting to execute it at exactly the perfect moment.
