Ichitaiyo barked a laugh and took the card, promptly stowing it on her jacket pocket. "Were not because I have a sorta maybe paramour I'd ask for a reward kiss too."

“Oh you fox! Good on yah… okay, you have to tell me all about it.”
She puts an army around the Kitsuki and starts leading her out of car exploding range, of course not looking back in case it did and then they lost cool samurai credentials

“I could not be more proud. Who are they? Cute I hope? You two just passing notes back and forth? Ooooh, anyone I know? And yeah, I wouldn’t want to ruin anything by proving the superiority of the Ochiba kissing method, that’s a whole different class.”

“Kaiu Nagisa-san?” Behind them the car itself bursts into flames and starts hissing and spitting.

The car’s horn starts warbling sadly.

“I can see it, she’s pretty fit. Seemed a bit reserved but that makes sense since you’re quiet too. Unless I’m driving anyway. But you danced some passion out of one another? I love it. Hoping the rally goes well then.”

Ochiba is clearly about to offer some ‘sage’ relationship advice
“-don’t do anything you’ll regret. But don’t then do nothing and regret it. If you’re gonna be off planet soon and going your seperate ways, and you two are really hitting it off…remember, you’re a certified badass. So…”

Frowning

And she sighed, palming her eyes, bit worn as if she was trying to not see Ochiba's reaction.

"The thing is that I play with people. I love it, I have fun, and I know it's shitty."

"So.. I was teasing her last night. She was very... like a sheep lesbian, if you will? All red, all flustered. Little touches here, there.. I was playing with her like a.. a cat toying with a bird they already caught, just for fun."

The car explodes behind them in a raging belch of fire, Ichitaiyo is too worried about this even try to look cool about it.

"Then, while we are dancing, I teach her to loosen her back, and she.. relaxes. My teases work but she puts the walls, and then she begins to hit back, and now I'm embarrassed. And in the end, I call uncle, we back off. It's all cool. We stop dancing, and go back to chatting."

She lets her palms out and bites the corner of her lip, muddling her speech.

"Then, today's rally comes up as a topic, she tells me she has won it once and never missed it. Then we realize she doesn't have a drive for today, I try to get one of the Unicorns I know to put up, but then she swings to having me drive. Which I said, cool. It's a cool date, I tease her with 'being stuck with me in a hot car for hours', she doesn't mind not winning. It's all cool."

And she gulps. "Then, you know what she says?"

Ochiba had been listening in absolute rapt attention, which meant neither samurai paid any attention to the fiery explosion, which meant both were instantly cool.

"Huh? But you're pretty cool? I mean, if they're past the noodles arms there's only badass detective beneath that?"

The Mantis is by this point beside herself with anticipation as a site manager runs past them with a fire extinguisher.

And Ichitaiyo balled her fists in an energy she couldn't quite express. "WHEN, Ochiba. WHEN, she told me 'I want you with me here for at least a year. And. It just.. " "AARGH! I feel I'm going to hurt her! Or I feel bad that somehow lead her on something because I went too hard? I just.. She doesn't even truly know me?? I don't know what to do! She made me have the flutters in the chest."

"I reckon that's a sign of affection and tension, which means you liiiiike her too. Well, are you gonna step up to that challenge? Or wuss out? I remind you of your next graduation diploma."

"Now, it might take some time, this is an advanced degree, it might end up mail order or you take a few separate classes. But you'll know you've earned it when you stop playing and become a player. Look at me, all my relationships are great because I know what I feel, how I feel it and then I act on it. And my partner either likes that, and we continue, or they don't and I just move on."

Now pointing at herself.
"You can totally have that once you become OPEN. And it's gonna start with a hot car, a hot mechanic and dare I say, a hot detective driving a rally car after they ended up flirting over a little dancing. That's 101, you got this."

Ichitaiyo couldn't avoid laughing out loud to her friend's unending charisma. She swore to Benten, Ochiba must have inherited all her heritage from somewhere in her.
