[Day 11, Early Morning] Picking Up the Pieces

by Bayushi Kazushi
Bayushi Kazushi arrived on the scene not long after the firefight ended yesterday evening, and he hasn't left yet. He's still sorting through whatever he can find in the Temple, looking for anything that might explain what was really going on behind all of this.

At his side, as always, is Kurumi, and at the moment the two are struggling to keep each other going. It was a long, long night, after all, and a stressful one at that. Hopefully they'll find something that will make it all worth it...although as the bodyguard looks back to the spot where Moto Shiwahime's body was laying until recently, Kurumi just isn't sure that anything could possibly do that.

This time, the Detective accompanied Kiyoshi.. "I assume the magistrates already took anything they found of interest."

"They took a lot away overnight," Kazushi agrees with a yawn, "but none of it actually useful, as far as I can tell. The motivations of the Temple's leadership, aside from a desire to overthrow the province's governor, remain a mystery. At least, to me."

Perhaps as expected, the whole warehouse was cordoned off with Magistrate Office yellow tape, almost the same sort of yellow you would find in particular talisman paper to ward off bad spirits. The area was a crime scene and was closed for the foreseeable future. Even when all of the evidence was collected and the matter was put behind him, it was uncertain if the Temple of Light would ever see the light of day again as a place of worship. The whole incident has put a bad light on Lavoie, on top of the already strange teachings of the religion of gaijin origin.

There was a Kuni Yoriki standing by with her doshin, although she wasn't here to entertain conversation in the slightest, urging curious reporters from the various Silver Fin Production channels to stay away.

A crowd of locals gathered on the outskirts, looking at the 'Temple' with a bit of obvious sadness in their eyes. The place was considered a place of hope, especially with its rather questionable teaching that skirted the Celestial Order...now they had one less 'spiritual' refuge.

Kiyoshi moved towards the crowd of onlookers, while the Scorpion decided on what to do next.

"They covered their tracks well," says Kazushi. "The escaped conspirators are probably out of the province by now. I doubt there's any more to find here."
