So a couple of us have been running around trying to organize stuff for the Bon Festival. I figured it's probably about time we get an OOC thread up for this to keep things in one place. And some stuff can be handled over space-mail and doesn't require a scene.


The Monks of Daikoku's Temple are the hosts/organizers as this is a religious festival. They asked for donations, fireworks, and presence from the local shops (stalls).

In addition, Kanna has blessed the alcohol that is to be served for the festival. (shugenja duties, woo!)

Nagisa is reporting for duty to help in any way she can.

Yes, it would be wonderful if the visitors and locals could contribute something for the RP threads of the Bon Festival!

There is the Bid Event, of course, but I personally want the holiday to be more than just people drinking and getting drunk, haha! I know people have a few ideas already. This is a good place to get them put together, maybe schedule some public RP scenes for people to gather.

Feather Your Nest has traditional lanterns and offerings available. So having a booth at the festival makes sense.

Sorato has fluff fireworks experience?

Wait, actually it's not too late to spend XP on that... the Kaiu with Soul of Artistry would probably be better at it regardless though. Agasha shame.

My recollection is it was Craft: Explosives (Hanabi), or maybe Craft: Hanabi since the former was a restricted skill? I doubt gaijin pepper is forbidden lore in a version of the setting with space travel. Probably a question for the GMs, but seems like something Nagisa could probably do...

I’m going to put up a thread soon for the fireworks making if anyone, including Sorato, would like to help or I guess just provide company!

Bumping this up, if people have events or plans in mind, and the threads for it...Post them here! I can add them to Day 11.

I am open to suggestions as to when/how to do Kiyoshi's concert. I'm thinking of it being a fairly informal street fair type thing.

The Harbourfront is fine. Yuta Records might even be happy to host such an event in front of their store with a small stage with standing room only, and a few chairs.

The Harbourfront is close to the sea. Azuma Beach also works, as does Nishi Beach. Early Evening and Mid Evening are taken up, so I suggest Late Afternon, Late evening or even Early Night.
