When the lanky Kitsune entered the cozy shop, he couldn't help but duck his head, though his height was not so great nor the door so small as to require it. The energy, the ambiance of the place made him seem too big, too awkward, in comparison to the many small and delicate items on display.

Though his dark blue suit was conservative, it and the young man in it still stood out as much too modern to be rightly placed here. Soratoshi browsed the store slowly, genuinely curious, as a man torn between proud traditions and a proud future will often be.

"Two Fox and a Detective walk into a nest." A smaller, planer dressed, Kitsune said.

Soratoshi chuckled silently, turning to face the famous Fox.

"Kitsune Kiyoshi-sama," the taller Kitsune said, bowing his head not out of obligation, but respect for the other man's fame. "This one is Kitsune Soratoshi, Kiyoshi-sama. A simple engineer, and a fan of the Mystery Five."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, cousin." He returned the bow. "Please, call me Kiyoshi."

"I... Kiyoshi-san, that is... Very kind," Soratoshi said quietly, slightly befuddled. "I... Well, uh, Kiyoshi-san," Soratoshi said, trying to find a clear train of thought. "I had seen that you are here for the governor's festivities. How have you and the Detective found everything?"

"The island is quite pleasant." He smiled. "There's so much natural beauty. I can see why it's drawn so much attention. What is your opinion?"

Soratoshi nodded enthusiastically. "Oh I was thrilled to see more of the interior today," he said genuinely. "I had hoped to see much more of the jungle in our first days here. I still need a lot more research time before I can properly report to Kitsune Biopharmaticals." The taller man had settled down but still seemed very candid in sharing his thoughts.

He nodded. "I've only explored the outskirts. Many of the predators have been driven deeper into the heart of the jungle. That's also where much of the unique flora will be."

"Yes. I had hoped that more of the jungle would be accessible without undertaking a proper expedition. Of course, in honor of Chikushudo I am thankful that so much of the island is undisturbed, but I do hope our Crab partners will see that allowing properly trained Kitsune researchers in can be incredibly profitable."

"That would be ideal. Some friends and I have been working on a proposed sanctuary for the jimen tori. But, I'd like to see a larger conservatiry." He explained.
