[Day 7 - Late Evening] The Escape Was A Lie (Closed)

by Boogiepop
Finally, outside the field of traps and the threat of death delivered by a mysterious compound bow, they have deemed themselves worthy of life after earning their escape, right? Right?
Wrong.
There was never supposed to be an escape. No survivors. The escape was a lie.
When they found their way outside, the 'players' would meander through the darkness and catch a brief respite... until they realized that the light from behind them began to follow them. No, they weren't back on the field of death, but instead, there was a rugged vehicle that began to trail them with a large spotlight to hunt them down!
***
Scenario 3: The Escape
Two characters on the trail of the missing Tamori Kanna, Kaiu Nagisa, and Hiruma Akiro may roll either Investigation(Search)/Perception or Hunting (Tracking)/Perception at TN 15 to find them! This can be done at a Cooperative roll for both characters, adding to the skill amount of the other character. If they fail, they can try again next time slot.
Otherwise, the 'players' roll (as a group in a Cooperative Roll or separately) either Athletics/Strength or Stealth/Agility to evade a contested Hunting/Perception to evade detection for a time slot.
THERE WILL BE COMBAT

"What's that Kaida?"
Arf Arf Arf!
"Banana is stuck in hell?"
bork bork bork!
"The Sultana is gone as well?
Ruff! ruff! ruff!
"...Okay I think I'm missing the mark, where's Kanna anyway? She speaks Kaida."
Back in the city Ochiba pulls out her communicator as she sits on the sidewalks, petting Kaida behind the ears. Rings go through to the Tamori...but no answer.
"Huh...must be busy, I don't see Igoro though..."
Next she calls a certain Kitsuki, if anyone knew where the Tamori had gone.
((Put me in chief, nobody murders samurai on this island but me, and maybe the boy! (4k3 on investigation or hunting) ))

The call was shortly answered. The deep voice was straight and firm as the steel that colored her eyes, almost if your could imagine them gleaming within the moment with the danger they could pour.
"Ochiba. What is it? I'm busy."
The rumble of a car engine being pushed around was heard on the background. Driving and talking? Tut-tut.

[GM GHOST!]
Yoritomo Ochiba was usually full of confidence and shooting. Well, she wasn't out of that. It seemed that she managed to trail after Tamori Kanna's whereabouts. It might have involved a combination of pressing for information from the locals on the road. There was likely a good amount of shaking and yelling involved to get the intended results.
Yoritomo Ochiba would inform Kitsuki Ichitaiyo!

When both Kitsuki Ichitaiyo and Yoritomo Ochiba arrive at the whereabouts of Tamori Kanna (and her found companions), she would be making her escape in progress down Mount Nakahama. That in itself wasn't a hard feat, but when there were injuries, carrying injured people, and a good number of unlit paths, it made such a routine hike all the more difficult.
There was also a
large military-grade vehicle that pursued them with a large spotlight...and it had no intentions of stopping until it ran them over...
***
Roll Initiative!
Characters coming into the scene by car (Yoritomo Ochiba and Kitsuki Ichitaiyo) can make a Driving/Agility Roll at TN 15 to intercept the car by force. This will incur 2k2 Damage on both sides with an additional +1k1 for each Called Raise. The military-grade vehicle gets 5 Reduction.
Otherwise...Feeling characters can make either Athletics(Running)/Strength or Stealth(Sneaking)/Agility to make themselves less of a target, contested vs the driver's Driving/Agility!

Ichitaiyo mounted on Ochiba's car, trusting her to pilot the mechanical steed far better than her.
(And she didn't have the money to pay for damage for her own rental.)
"Ochiba. Please tell me you have a spare radiant vest around." Ichitaiyo commented, holding onto the handle above her head.

This evening was even worse than the time she had to attend a KamiPoint meeting arranged by a very dry Mirumoto speaker! Even worse than being in her office and listening to others communications because they didn't use their headseats! EVEN even worse than a day full of boring meetings that could have been messages in her inbox, that also went over time. Hours!!
"I hate this!" Kanna cried out when she noticed the lights coming for them.

Sure, but may potentially be an ATN20 + 10 (CR 2) for a Called Shot.

Trying to stop the vehicle through crashes might risk everyone's lives, even Kanna's. She took a sharp breath in, rolled down the window and leant out, trying to align the sights onto the wheel- Hopefully catching the perpetrator's attention should suffice.
"Keep her steady, Ochiba!"
A breath in, pause, and let instinct aim the barrel, hoping for Osano-Wo to reward today her boldness.

The armoured mantis looks over before replying with words you never, ever want your driver to utter.
"Hold on!"
And then she guns it, gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles as the engine Nagisa supercharged roars and the sports cars bounces, rides and screeches across the broken terrain.
"Kidnap
my friend? Torture
my friend? Try to kill
my friend?"
Ochiba puts her foot all the way down.
"Worry her dog?!?!"
Their car is coming in parallel to the enemy, he doesn't have time to dodge.
Day 7, Late Evening, the escape was a lie, driving/agility, attempting to pit maneuver the enemy humvee (before it has to make a turn and just rolls off anyway), spending a void point TN 15 | 4k3+6 ⇒ 25 (TN: 20)
There's a scream of metal as the two car's collide, Ochiba's sports car is trying to pit maneuver the humvee to cut its rampage short!

When the other car slams into the truck, it immediately took it off from its warpath and sends it skidding off to the side before it comes to an abrupt stop. Just sitting still at the moment. It didn't seem to do too much to either the riders of the car, only jostling them. However, there was this tense moment of silence that set in, that the danger wasn't completely dealt with yet.
Now that the truck should be seen its its entire form and not moving towards them for the kill, Kanna and Nagisa might recognize that as the vehicle they were taken in. There might be a good chance that their things were still inside the truck...

Round 1 Still
Kanna and Nagisa are roughly 20' from the Truck
Ochiba and Ichitaiyo are roughly 10' from the Truck

Akiro also hated this, but he felt it would be bad manners to say so while someone was carrying him.
The two vehicles crashing together did get a "What the blazes?" out of him, though.
