Yasuki Taraka is born and raised on Green Carp. Her mandatory military service with the Crab was serving in the supply corps as both a planner and a transport pilot. She is the middle daughter of Yasuki (formerly Kaiu) HIroto and Yasuki Anraku (Deceased). Her elder sister, Mizuki, as part of the arrangements for getting Flying Battle Carps off the ground, has married into Kuni Kenji's family (Heir to a famous medical concern). Her younger sister, Seiko, has been promised to, but not yet wed Hida Kazuma (career military soldier).

Yakura has been living on Tango for 3 years, owning her boat for 2. Happy to host, but people can feel free to use the yacht as alocation

Born on ye olde homeworld Rokugan, but has had her shop here for the past 4 years, making her local-ish. Still working on things like...what neighborhood she lives in (or if it's just in the space above the shop?).

So arrival, site scouting, wrangling delivery of furnishings on the cheapest transport available, grand opening at the -4 years mark.

But time since? Did someone introduce her to that awkward-to-get-to (and thus quiet) spot on the beach to get away from the resort-crowds? Or to a favorite tea/noodle/fermented-health-vegetable shop? Did you get curious about the weird shop? Discover her crashing through the woods on the slopes of the volcano to find pumice for her beauty regimen (and trying to avoid the volcano lizards)? (or introduce her to your favorite weird foraging-for-beauty secret?) Have you brought her a broken treasure to mend with gold? Had a craft object spark an interest in learning ancient techniques?

Did all the business owners meet at last year's Chamber of Commerce celebration and gossip about the looming changes to governance and what it would all mean?

Hmm, traditional winter court season makes sense for that kind of thing, and the Rat is Dakoku's critter, so Rat 2125? A few months after Ayame took over so folks have some idea of what she's starting to propose, but not enough time to see how it'll play out. Time to be apprehensive or hopeful without much data to confirm either one.

Or Rat 2124 complaining about the declines under the previous governor, not knowing that he'd be passing the torch in less than a year (since the background says it was a surprise retirement)

Those are my thoughts there.

Yasuki Ayame is already in power around Dog 2124 (Late Fall), Rat 2124 (Early Winter) would be about 2 months later. Now, if you want to do Rat 2123.

Which is post-Banner 1 and pre-Ide II launch. Further back than originally stated, but I'll allow that to be done, since we have a lot of people in one place. It admittedly doesn't change the town too much, still being pre-Yasuki Ayame.

So basically seeing if folks prefer pre or post Ayame's ascension.

Probably post-Ayame I would suggest, the Dragon has been around for 2 years, so I figure it might be a host a bit later in than earlier, as people wanted to see if the whole venture floats or sinks, so to say.

This is fine, and besides, I'm sure we'll still have plenty to talk about regardless of where we're at in the succession timeline. We just shift from "Man the governor.....'s policies are not quite having the effect on the economy we want, huh?" to "So, new governor: fresh start or rats fleeing a sinking ship?"

I'm trying to figure out how to do this; Tetsu is not a native but he has made his corporate HQ here in Space Delaware. Would he have a place of his own or is there a place for Crab Naval Officers on leave?
