[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"They better get used to it." Ichitaiyo barked with a laugh, before letting go of her lover and flopping asides.

Without the cover of the dark or the haze of lust, Ichitaiyo was revealed as she was, thin and frailer without the armor of sharp suits and loose blouses. Each rib gently prodded out, her stomach sunk inwards as little life appeared to be there, and it was all punctuated a couple radiant burn scars on her core, cuts on her arms and whipmarks on her back.

And still, her voice was as warm and lively as a crab on shore leave.

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Nagisa turns over on her side, her eyes roaming over the other woman with a slight sense of sadness? Worry? Maybe a mix of the two? “You know… Being here will be great for you.”

The Kaiu, meanwhile, still has the slight burn on her shoulder from the week’s previous scuffle, along with a healed over puncture mark on her back where no doubt an arrow was. And of course the large bruise now faded to the more yellow healing phase bruised go through. She has tattoos that are normally hidden by clothing, including the gear and crab claw on her shoulder that looks like it could be one she got while in the military.

“Hmmmm… I think I’m going to steal you away for lunch when you come back. Daily.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"Lunching together is a cute habit. Let's hope my workplace is close enough to make it reality." Ichitaiyo replied, for once, naive to the real meaning behind her words, reaching to trace the new scars on Nagisa.

"You have had been hurt so bad before, huh.."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“I mean it could have been way worse. I’m healing up nicely.” Nagisa turns back onto her back, her hand over the bruise along her ribs. “I do not suggest being on the other end of a tetsubo. I’m lucky the studs didn’t puncture anything…”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

Ichitaiyo smiled, and leant to leave a peck on the bruise.

"May these be our last real scars."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Nagisa reaches down, placing a hand on Ichitaiyo’s head and sighs. “You’re incredibly sweet. I want us to forget about these scars whenever we’re together.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

Ichitaiyo shook her head.

"I.. think I like having proof some lesson learned on my life. A remembrance of where I was, to appreciate where I am now."

And a beat of pause ebbed.

"Thinking of it, 'don't get kidnapped' is not exactly a lesson."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Yeah, especially since I still don’t know why I was kidnapped.” Nagisa stares up at the ceiling. “Honestly kind of glad he took me along with the others. The traps kind of required some knowledge of basic engineering to get out of.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"If it is any reassurance, most people that protected him are arrested or Meido. Nakahama should be free of their influence for a good while."

And she tilted her head. "The Dragon owes you for saving Kanna, so I guess I am that payment in return?"

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Eh? Payment? I mean… Umm…” Nagisa wracks her brain for a decent answer, as she didn’t quite expect that kind of question. “…Do you want to be considered such? It feels a little impersonal. I feel you are more a gift from the heavens.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

And that got Ichitaiyo's heart in a squeeze, a hand going over to her chest as the pleasant sensation coursed all over her.

"Wow Nagisa, you do know your way with words."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“I do?” A puzzled expression crosses the Kaiu’s features,. “Huh. I mean… I kind of just said what felt right, y’know? What I feel.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

Ichitaiyo poked Nagisa's nose, along a sage nod. "Exactly, and the best poetry comes out of being in touch with one's heart."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Yeah? Poetry from the heart…” Wrapping her arms around the Kitsuki and pulling her closer, Nagisa can’t help but smile. “So, what is your heart saying right now?”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

Ichitaiyo opened her mouth, about to utter some.. unsightly things before she chuckled and settled on, "That if I am a gift from the heavens, my duty and reason to be will be to watch and love you as the kami made me for."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

Nagisa is silent as she takes in those sweet words. There’s a fire in her chest, her heart pounding. She leans forward to place a gentle kiss on Ichitaiyo’s lips.

“I love you.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"I love you too." Was replied in turn after they shared lips once more. "So, as much I'd truly love to stay here until my temporal stay pass runs out, if I hope to come back, I have to go work and earn some favors."

Ichitaiyo leant in further. "We can have our first lunchdate though. And share in the Bon Festival."

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Well, it’s a Crab festival. We might be absolutely wasted by the time we get home. Maybe we can have a hangover breakfast tomorrow? Well, maybe a late breakfast. Which I guess is lunch.”

Nagisa smiles softly, desiring more closeness but also listening to what Ichitaiyo had just said. “I guess I should get up, too. I need to rent a truck and load up the fireworks for the festival.”

[Kitsuki Ichitaiyo]

"I guess I can help load up, and then go back to the embassy quarters to get cleaned up." Ichitaiyo offered, begrundgily pulling off the blankets. "You have coffee, right?"

[Kaiu Nagisa]

“Uhhhh… I’m afraid I don’t. I’ll be sure to stock up on some before tomorrow so you have some here for the future.” Nagisa sits up, stretching her arms above her head. “Shit, I feel really refreshed. I wasn’t lying when I said that’s the best sleep I have had in a long while.”
