Friendly Traveller seems the right choice to toast the oldest memories, to the ancestors watching from Yomi who might even remember drinking the earliest bottles of the famed sake. The koji raised and tended through centuries, knowledge passed from brewmaster to brewmaster. "To the hundred thousand million ancestors," Hitomi murmurs, before drinking.

Then, "to those fallen this year" The sharp aftertaste of the Autumn Dragon has has her coughing, drawing sharp looks as she recovers herself. But everything else is just going to burn more.

Black Bay Sake, the cheaper, and less tasty alternative to Friendly Traveller...Hitomi sips it, with a toast to a handful of those she trained with who had met untimely ends in the past few years, before launching into a story about one of them, and a remembered evening of celebration in the year before their gempukku. The previous drinks were starting to hit and the tale maaaay have gone on a bit long, and wandered a bit much.

She's actually looking forward to Cherry Blossom Breeze. The work of recreating it had been epic, she'd read the papers, seen the holodramas. She manages a toast to her recent ancestors...but the smooth sake is deceptively strong and she finds her head sinking to the table mid-toast, and is carried aside.

Bravado and cheers were supplied in great amounts by the attendees, especially seeing that many of the attendees were visitors who didn't balk from the Crab challenge in the slightest. Everyone was already a winner for trying, the reward itself was already found in being able to drink plentiful and expensive alcohol tonight, toasting to either their ancestors or the most recently departed.

However, respect was truly gold here, and that was earned by those who could brave the temple's entire offering tonight. At the end of the evening, only a few samurai found themselves worthy of attention, either for their keen guile around drinks or their legendary stamina!

Yoritomo Ochiba was the most impressive participant! She fully drank all 8 drinks without balking at any of them, she earns +0.5 Glory.

Utaku Itsuka fought through her recent loss, drinking 6 drinks fully, not stopping at the last three and having a total sum of 57 with the last three drinks. She earns +0.4 Glory!

Bayushi Senshuken also had an impressive showing, drinking 6 drinks, not stopping at the last three and having a total sum of 53 with the last three drinks. She earns +0.4 Glory.

Yasuki Taraka finished the challenge, an impressive feat, but was unfortunately overshadowed by the top three participants. She earns +0.1 Glory.
