Then she heard shouting. Was that Ochiba? Ichitaiyo? BARKING FROM A SMALL DOG??? Did someone bring Kaida here!?

She didn't have much time to think as the new vehicle rammed into the one pursuing them, causing it to take it off the path towards her and Nagisa. But she did manage to think in a few seconds. Her belongings, specifically her holoslates! It would be such a dishonor if she lost the holoslates entrusted to her! And Nagisa might've lost any swords or important things too!

"Protect Hiruma-san!" she shouted to Nagisa as she moved.

Kanna made a dash for the truck, "ow! ow! ow!", slamming its battered door open to look inside.

At first, the appearance of a second car almost made the Kaiu’s mental song keeping her from freaking out stop, but then she notices… The sound of the engine. Nagisa knows that sound intimately. She remembers the exact details of that tune up job.

“I know that car! Oh thank the heavens.”

Wait, Kanna was going towards the psychopath’s truck alone? “Wait! Tamori-sama! He’s still in there!”

She moves Akiro towards the friendly vehicle, as he needs the most help. The driver is who she expected… But was that Ichitaiyo? Huh?

Kanna would be right in her estimation about the truck when she opened the door, she would indeed find a pile of her things and Nagisa's personal things strewn all over the place, as the car had been clipped unceremoniously earlier by the Mantis. However, that's not the only thing she would find in the car, but instead was face-to-face with her captor!

It was...him? Well, Kanna didn't personally know him but it seemed like he knew enough of her and the other former captives to want to kill them! He glared at the Dragon. If glares could kill, she would already be dead!

Kanna finally saw the face of their captor. Drawing a complete blank on who this was at the moment.

Grabbing what she recognised as her bag, Kanna ducked away from the open door to avoid getting caught in the line of fire ".... Who is this mee-cheen nyun?" she exclaims, leaning and crouching against the side of the truck to catch her breath.

And why had he broken Akiro's legs, killed Kaito, and captured them. That was right. He had KILLED Yasuki Kaito!

"He killed Yasuki Kaito-sama!" She blurts out, caught in the stress of it all!

She then closes him in the back seat before ducking into the driver’s seat. Sorry, Yoritomo-sama… I will be the one to drive us out of here. You’d kill us yourself with these stunts you pull.”

Yes! Her slates were in the bag as expected. She didn't waste time thinking too much, and went back to the memory of the volcano lizard and how Ochiba had defeated it thanks to the water kami.

"Water kami!" she commanded them, and she felt them surge through her as she called upon them. Then as she flexed her inner energies to direct them to Ochiba, she winced and lost her control. "No... ow!"

Nagisa could feel her ribs cracking as she lets out a pained gasp. The wind was completely knocked out of her, but she could still pull herself into the driver’s seat. Catching her breath, she’s so glad that Ochiba left the car running.

As custom with drivers that have been entirely pissed off at this situation, she makes a rude hand gesture at the psychotic Kaiu and hits the reverse. She has to keep Akiro safe still and either of them being hit by the tetsubo would not be ideal. But she stops a bit out, so she can get out and help anyone if they need it.

“But, congratulations, for the first time ever you’ve made a woman really really happy.”
She pulls the trigger. Treating those present to an impromptu x-ray show of the Kaiu’s skull before his smoking corpse falls to the ground.
