Tetsu won't pretend to be the best player but he's a little surprised to take so long to find a partner. Still. he's not going to say no when a Lion girl comes to him looking. He's out in a formfitting wetsuit to provide adequate sun protection.
His play is...well, nothing to write home about.

Having passed qualifiers, Kisha takes the court for the next round of play. Sweat soon streams down her petite body, and sand starts to stick to it, but she makes a valiant effort at supporting the shining tower of muscle that is Moto Shiwahime...

Seeing their first opponents, Suh-Hyun pulled down her sunglasses to look at the Unicorn and Mantis. She had a playful smirk as she said, "Don't expect mercy Itsuka-san!" She just nodded at Ochida, like a duelist preparing to draw.
And for someone with no actual skill, the tall Unicorn proved a pretty dominant presence on her team

That was a bit of a shaky start in the beginning, however, she wasn't going to let herself get outdone by some sweaty and muscular Hida! Fitness over brawl, and this Greatshark was going to get her prey! Her ball?
Either way, Ayame showed a strong showing. It was up to her sister to take the advantage and seal the deal!
"Spike it! Spike it!" She called out to her sister.

It looked too easy when her sister did it, but Umiko had to exert some actual effort into the sport, once again giving it her all. This was really making her tired...
"Kyyyah!" She called out as she managed to hit the ball when the spike was set up for her. Hopefully, that would be enough...

Suh-Hyun's playful remark is met with a faint grin, almost impercentible at first... then the grin widens, and she winks.
"Let's see who flies higher today, Shinjo-san", she remarks, then gives a polite nod to Yakura, high-fives Ochiba and prepares for battle.
... and a close-fought, sand-strewn, sweat-inducing, bloody battle it is. Yakura's sand-throwing critical hit holds Ochiba back more than Itsuka had expected, but somehow that stoked her even more, and with a few well-placed spikes near the end of the game, they managed to pull through. by a hair's breadth!

It seemed there was a technical error on the display and instead, Ikoma Nonoko and Kaiu Tetsu would be facing off against a pair of Kuni! They didn't quite sync on their tactics and one of them went wide, despite the other's best efforts.

If Tetsu had thought he might get into qualifiers, his hopes on an elimination match had been slim. While the next round was uncertain, Nonoka and he were mostly getting by on their own play instead of anything coordinated. So the only strategic advice to come to mind is "git gud skrub"
