"Nice for a station." Sorato comments. "Public green spaces, instead of keeping all the growth locked away in cultivator tubes to keep the footprint down." The wry quirk of his lips hints at his opinion of such efficient-but-sterile designs. He stops to hold aside a leafy low branch while the others pass, scattering water droplets onto the brush underfoot.

"What do the Jigoku Flowers look like... there aren't many good images, unfortunately," he says with the hint of a disappointed sigh. "People who met them had other concerns besides recording them, I guess. They're described as spiny, very bright flowers, reddish vines. Large for shrubs, I believe."

"I'm sure there is some of that as well, but New Hope Castle is the home for my capital 'F' Family." Suh-Hyun shrugged, "It's not typical of what one thinks of when they think space station."

"Bright flowers?" She ponders something for a moment, "Ah! To attract prey or pollinators correct? I remember some of the basic botany taught to me at least."

"Spiny, bright flowers, reddishing vines."

Ochiba slowly turns in a circle.
"Uhhh, lots of spiny dull flowers, or bright smooth flowers, and there are those cool green vines. Where do these guys live? Up in trees? Under stuff, on stuff?"

"A shame they have such a dark name, because the way you describe them, they sound very pretty!" Then a moment's thought. "Can we cultivate this evil-named flower, I wonder? Have the Crab done that? Or do they dislike it because of the name, or because they don't like pretty flowers?"

"Pollinators are the more common reason for color... but in this case, it could be prey," Sorato agrees with Suh-Hyun.

Kanna's wishful thinking appeals to him too, but... "It has a reputation for attacking anything that moves," he points out, ducking another branch (one Suh-Hyun would also have to duck, even lower). "I'm not sure anyone's ever gathered seeds or a viable cutting. Even holo-images seem to be really scarce. The ones in the planetary almanac are very poor quality. What a coup it would be to grow something like that in controlled conditions, though!"

"I'm not sure anyone would want to from the sounds of it," Suh-Hyun added with a laugh, "But I suppose it could be domesticated? Humanity has certainly domesticated weirder things."

She did indeed have to duck low to miss the branch, "Of course I think Ochiba-san is a blast now and domesticate later sort of explorer. No offense Ochiba-san!" The Unicorn glanced back at the Yoritomo and gave a small shrug.

"Personally I would prefer not to see one at all."

Kanna thought for a moment, and then shared her brilliant thought. "What if we could make it a guard-plant!? A chompy-plant to bite unwanted guests and burglars!"

“If a man eating plant comes at me I certainly ain’t gonna try and reason with it, that’s for sure.”
Ochiba shrugs, no harm taken

“They don’t have skulls though. So I wouldn’t be going out of my way to fight one. Not until we find out how valuable they are.”

Stepping over a log and giving the vines a suspicious look and nods at Kanna

“Guard plants would be sick. You could camouflage them as normal plants and then… bang!”
