"I've met them in passing, but don't know all that much about them. I suppose they might have at least some business sense if they're here," she says thoughtfully.
"It's definitely a business, just not an entirely commercial one, neh? All your time here, any of the Crab catch your eye?" She pushes the last bun toward Yakura, sipping her tea.

"More carps than crabs..."she replied mysteriously, then glanced away. "The karo is pretty nice...and Yasuki Taraka-san." She quickly returned to her tea. Was she...embarassed?

A small head tilt and smile. Nothing to be embarrassed about there. "Good taste, both have a lot to recommend them. Then the negotiations to figure out who joins who...I assume your family wants to keep you at the Dragon's helm?"

"Probably." She sighed. "It's complicated. Do you see yourself leaving your clan? Would the Feather stay or go, I wonder? I assume it would be part of the negotations."

Hitomi sighs, "I suppose one of my siblings might pick up running Feather if I didn't stay. Assuming business remains steady enough here to warrant it. I've already roped two of them in as support on the Rokugan end of things. So theoretically, marrying out could build useful connections." It's obvious giving the shop up would be hard though.
"Uff, marriage is hard. And this is why it's probably been left to families to negotiate at higher levels for millennia. Who has time for this?" She makes a mental note to inquire with her next set of letters, see if there are any plans afoot.

Yakura nodded. "How many siblings do you actually have?" She asked curiously. "Business seems to be steady, at least from the outside. The Mantis smirked. "Yup! You should hire an assistant to find someone for you. Like in one of those holos. And then fall in love with them." she yammered on.

"Four all told. And you're likely right. It needs to be outsourced if my family's not on top of it already." She pulls out her densai to makes some notes. Then grins. "Oh, of course. Please send any attractive assistants you spot my way and I'll see how that works."
"Or keep them for yourself! Add 'fall in love' to your calendar, would you?"
Now they were just getting silly. "I swear there's only tea in this." Hitomi lifts her cup to finish the not remotely intoxicating drink. "But seriously, pencil in that spa visit and we'll see if any better ideas have come along in the meantime.
