"I can practically hear my sensei chiding me for all the recreation we are doing here. A convention. LARP and card games. There's even a cooking contest coming up."

"But my patron assures me that business on Nakahama turns on influence and that means you have to be there, making an impression."

"I worry that I'm not making enough waves maybe. But I keep trying!"

"And I am using every down moment to sketch schematics and compose."

"The Crab have a different take on things. What we might consider recreation they take deadly serious."

He paused to finish his tea.

"Like there's an Oshidama Tourney in a few days. Well I think there is anyway. That would be a day at the beach for us. Somehow I think the Crab are going to be deadly serious about it."

"Oshidama? What do you think that will include?"

But she also grinned. "I do not recall any competition that was not *the most serious thing ever* at the Kakita Academy. Are we so different?"

"Oshidama is just pure sport for fun! Especially on the beach. It's not art, so the Academy wouldn't officially teach it. The Crab though . . . I wouldn't be surprised if they had a professional league or something."

"Oh that sounds very fun! I have yet to put my swim clothes to use, despite multiple trips to the beach. It could be just the occasion!"

"It'll be a fun day, I'm sure. Can't let a few try hards spoil it all though."

He nodded at the swimsuit mention.
