Day 1, EM: Speed and endurance

[Moto Shiwahime]

''Wasn't planning to'' she replied with a degree echoed fatigue. She was though but both of them has run a long distance in the pouring rain.

''I was planning on doing some final stretches, get breakfast in a joint nearby and take the public transport bask to the city. I got my motorbike parked at the station. I can drive you wherever afterward if you are ok with that plan Otomo-sama.''

[Otomo Koroshi]

"My quarters are in some spa, though I cannot quite remember the name. A lift would appreciated as one does not wish to annoy the servants with driving out in the rain when the company is good and the ride fast?" The last part about the fast bike was said with an upward lilting almost question.

"And please, call me Koroshi! Otomo-sama is too formal and I keep looking around for my uncle when people say it." He stood very straight for a moment and began speaking in a stiff, precise, and extremely formal tone.

"Don't let me catch you slouching boy! Shoulders up! Chin straight. You carry the Empire on your back boy, and you had better shape up before you ship out!"

[Moto Shiwahime]

Shiwahime laughed openly and fairly cheerfully. She found herself quite fortunate to have met the Otomo this morning

''As fast as the law permits!'' she confirmed ''Perhaps more if the situation calls for it! If I am to call you Koroshi then feel free to call me Shiwahime as well...or even to shorten it to Shiwa.''

She gave a solemn nod

''This encounter under the rain is quite fortunate I'd say! I wouldn't have thought I'd meet such a friendly fellow...I've even mistaken you for a spirit at first!''

[Otomo Koroshi]

"Worry not Shiwahime! This one is very mortal!" He punched his face with an audible smack to demonstrate.

"A thousand apologies for causing even the possibility of misunderstanding. Perhaps I should get a sign, a blinking sign. 'I AM NOT A SPIRIT', yes, a big blinking sign." His eyes go distant as he imagines it.

Koroshi was more than able to talk for hours about anything, and also congenial enough to keep his partner in the loop.

''I think the bells threw me off, I think. I instinctively though of shrines...thus the spirit.'' she explained ''The rain did not help either.''

She frowned a the idea of a 'Not a spirit sign' wondering if an alternative wouldn't be better

''Maybe you could have an Otomo mon that lights up? I have seen people using LED strings sewn in their clothing...but never their family mon. You think it could work?''

Shiwahime did not like to socialize in larger group or for too long but that guy seemed pretty chill and had novel ideas so she'd found herself at ease to continue listening and bouncing ideas
