"Probably sailing first, party later. I think a distant cousin of mine on planet actually owns a yacht which is a casino? So you know, don't want to have too many boat parties. But this will be for fun, sun, see the sights, drink, swim if you're up for it."

"Dunno about how big they are, but from all accounts this is sort of a paradise world so they can't be that bad. It has to be pretty dang big to both want to and be able to threaten a boat of any size."
Finishing her tussle of Kadia with a final pat.

Kaida makes a few playful pawing motions at Ochiba for more cuddles. There his belly-floof was, in all its glory, and this other human had the nerve to stop already!

"Bigger, huh?" Thinking for a few seconds, Kanna stands up, smoothing her clothes with the palms of her hands. "Well, I'm not very big, or very scary. But I can look bigger if I do this!" With a small laugh, she raises her arms up, like a small bear pretending to be larger and scarier.

Still, given she wasn't actually on her ship... with a sigh she goes back to praising his mighty belly-floof.

Ochiba blinks in surprise before a grin spreads across her face and she snorts.
"Tamori-san, if I ran into you doing that in a dark alleyway, I would certainly start heading the other way."

Patting the pair of sidearms hanging from her shoulders.
"These are my 'look bigger' trick. But you know, I'm gonna guess security will view that a lot less favorably than you doing your thing. I imagine that attitude comes in handy in the boardroom though?"

Yesssss, Kaida contentedly enjoyed more of the attention, as he deserved after all this traveling.

"Oh, I'm not in the boardroom. That's the boring stuff ma and pa does," she lowers her arms with a smile. "Maybe I'll be in a boardroom here maybe-maybe," Kanna muses with some interest, as she wonders what it would be like.

"Aha! I should invite you to visit me at the Natsuzora while we're here. That's where I'll be staying. It's a ryokan with its own spa attached too, from what the brochure said." It didn't occur to her that Ochiba might be staying there too - she had a boat, after all, and Mantis were boat-folk!

"That's where the big koku is, they play pretty rough up there. Not that someone like me is in a boardroom all that often either, not for now at least."
She boops Kaida's nose for luck.

"A fancy ryokan? Spa? Yeah no, I'm going to be there a lot. If they have a decent kitchen I might never leave. I want to be pampered and have people compliment my choices no matter what I go with, the good life."
It was a very pleasing vision of a possible future.

"I'm renting a penthouse on the waterfront and once it's up to my standards it's going to host a good share of gatherings. You know, a place that's just by me, for me?"

Kaida accepts the nose-boop as the end to the cuddle session. He licks his nose, rolls up on his feet again, and proceeds to shake.

"Oh, so Yoritmo-san is like a solitary creature that also likes to socialise? Like a cat?" Kanna observes cleverly. "Cats love to be complimented too."

Now that Kaida had finished his cuddle session, Igoro gives the dog a small whistle, signaling its time to find the 'pet-relief' area, and the ball of fluff happily trots to the familiar servant.

"I am not a cat I-" Ochiba glares, even as part of her considers that maybe she did have many cat qualities. "- am a complex and mighty figure. I just value having my own space is all. Never had any growing up, don't have any now in my duties. But I am sure as the hells going to have some on holiday."

Sitting back and watching Kaida trot off. "No offence Tamori-san, but it sounds like you grew up with a fair amount of things to yourself? What with those cats and dogs and birds and all."

"Hm? Well, they are family pets, not only mine. I have three sisters and a brother, and we all have a fondness for animals - and so many of them have been gifts! And I love to share! Maybe I have had a lot of things to myself..." she wasn't really sure since she didn't have much to compare with. "I don't know."

Other items peek out for a bit, like various snacks, or what looks like a deck-box for Fantasy Fight, before she takes out a silk-wrapped bundle. The cloth itself seemed to be embroidered with zodiac symbols.

She unwraps the cloth, revealing a deck of cards that she begins to shuffle. "For a reading like this? Not much is needed. Not like those more in-depth readings that take into account your birthday, zodiac animal, and element."

With the deck shuffled, Kanna moves over to sit next to Ochiba, leaving a seat empty between them to serve as a makeshift table. "Without looking at the face of the cards, draw any three you want. And place them facedown on the cloth here. Any order you want, as long as they form a line. Left to right - past to future."

With a seriousness completely at odds with her whole early demeanour Ochiba carefully reach’s down and draws the cards, setting them face down and flipping the first card from her past.

It depicted a female shugenja of great wisdom and she with the sun blazing overhead

“That’s the uh… high priestess, right?”
Her brow furrows
“That’s… good? She kinda looks like this Moshi I once knew. She could hit you with a thrown zori from across a room without even looking.”

"Yes!" Kanna claps her hands together, excited that Ochiba knew the name of the card. "The high priestess."

She clears her throat and places a finger on the card.

"In your past, a turning point in your life was when you began to listen more to your intuition. Maybe there was a mysterious or religious woman in your life that gave the idea to do that," she smiles, "like the Moshi you once knew, maybe? But for your future, you began to rely on your gut instincts, which led you to where you are today. Outside elements mattered less than your internal thoughts and ideas during this time."

Hopefully, she looks to Ochiba to see if the reading hits home.

"Woah." Her eyes widen. "That's spot on. These cards have power! I've only ever gotten ahead listening to myself. Anyone else is trying to hold you down."

Her gaze remains fixed on the card for a few more moments before slowly turning to the middle one.

"A little worried now, but middle card next?"

"Maybe they do, or maybe it's just your power through them, neh?" she offers sweetly, knowing that the truth of divination was... totally unknown to most (and mostly unknown to herself). "I'm glad that it seems to have put you on a good path though."

Kanna nods. "Middle card next, to show your present!"

Ochiba slowly flips the next card. It depicts a sickly green spider web with a human headed spider crawling in from the side.

The Mantis visibly blanches, one hand going to the jade stud in her ear.

“Right again… how?”
She looks suspiciously at the Dragon
“This better not be some kind of trick.”

"Eep. It's no trick, I promise!" Kanna stresses the words sincerely, not wanting to upset Ochiba.

"It's not all bad," at least it wasn't the Tower, and now she hopes the Tower card didn't show up next, "because there's always a way forward and things can always change for the better!" Kanna is fully certain of this.

"But yes, hm, the Spiderweb represents feeling trapped, or bad habits," she doesn't elaborate too much on that, since the Mantis could find it personal. "I suppose that could be why you're here? To change things up and try something new to escape? We can turn the next card and see."
