[Day 10 - Early Evening] The Showdown

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Kazushi's cold eyes lock onto Umiko, and he's nods.

"My colleague is correct, Yasuki-san. I believe we have much to discuss."

[Agasha Sorato]

Sorato has by now spotted the Karo supporting a dreadfully wounded person. Was that... Yasuki Haruto? How is he involved in all this?

He too jogs in the direction of Honoka, Umiko, and Haruto. "Yasuki-samas! Do you need first aid?"

((Although I believe our esteemed GM is taking the night off!))

[Yasuki Honoka]

Honoka had previously also done the good work of flagging Sorato over to their location. However, by the time he arrives Umiko was likely still tending to Haruto, whom has taken a bullet to the stomach. With such a painful shot he was almost certainly taking up a great deal of Umiko's focus. While Honoka herself was almost lost in her own head as she had been staring at Umiko. With Sorato's arrival, she snapped out of it.

"Agasha-san, how..." She starts up, the usual polite and cordial manner of speech spilling out then dribbling to a stop. She would continue in a different manner, her voice softer. "Thank you.. Agasha-san. This man has been shot in the stomach, not terribly long ago but he has been holding on for quite a while. Bravely, I will add," she says, and turns her attention to regards the man, her gaze shifts magnetically to Umiko. "Myself and Yasuki Umiko were not physically harmed, so please tend to this man as best you are able. Should the spirits be willing, he has earned the best of care."

Yasuki Hiroto, by this point, having ensured he has done a full scan has stepped down from a perch, knocking down a rock from a hillier part of the natural terrain nearby. Having, in the chaos of everyone rushing inside and taking charge of the area, reclaimed his weapons and returned immediately to Honoka's side. There wasn't anything for him to add to the recap, as his charge was an expert at taking charge.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Now seeing Haruto, and Sorato preparing to tend to him, Kiyoshi focuses on healing Hinara and the rest.

[Kuni Junpei]

"Mm," Junpei would nod begrudgingly at the Mantis's compliment. The situation wasn't exactly ideal, considering that literally a shootout bigger than that one with the crazy Kaiu broke out. Then again, if these people were suspected of killing his sensei, was this ever going to end by the books? Being at the right place at the right time would also make all the difference.

Junpei would make his round to zip-tieing a few of the culprits as he waited for the yoriki and doshin to make their appearances. There were more than enough people that he didn't have handcuffs for all of them!

"...And thus, that is why you are now under the custody of the Magistrate," Junpei would say in conclusion after tying the last offender and kicking away their sidearm. "Do you have a rebuttal?"



"Very well, for the best," he nodded to the corpse. It was generally Kuni procedure to arrest the corpse, in case they should do anything else...

[Yasuki Umiko]

Umiko didn't look like she was unharmed, considering she had a good amount of blood on her hands and forearms as she tried her best to do what little she could do without medical training. A bit shaken in many ways, considering all of the violence and dead people around them, especially inflicted on some people she cared about. Maybe if she had time to dwell on this later, she would berate herself for being so hopeful and naive to think that she could break the relationship with Nagisa so easily, especially knowing she was so dangerous...

"Agasha-san!" She could call out to the shugenja at the first sight of medical help, her attention focusing on the Phoenix rather than the Scorpion to seek aid. "Haruto-san has been injured! Please, heal him! Haruto-san? Haruto-san!"


Yasuki Haruto

Haruto seemed to lie on the ground lifelessly with his eyes half-closed. He looked dead, but professional eyes might have just realized that he had lost consciousness.

[Kuni Sumie]

The Scorpion perks up as he hears his superior's voice, like a child caught doing something naughty. He slowly turns towards the source, his face turning apologetic as a hand goes to cover his stomach.

"Ah! Kazushi-sama! I was... I was totally just-" He stammers on his words, his eyes narrow then close as an exhale escapes his mouth. "Okay you got me. A little rest. The Karo is over there, you may want to take the opportunity to speak to her."

he points towards the warehouse's side door as he leans onto one of the crates and slowly slumps down onto the floor.

"What a night."

"Shit, yeah, it was quite a night," Sumie would say as she suddenly appeared and stood beside Hinata when he lay there with his injuries unattended.

"Oh fuck, you're injured and bleeding everywhere!" She called out to everyone and no one in particular, mostly to the shugenja who were making their rounds to help people. They can stay in their own Kam-damn lane! "EVERYONE! I have this one! I know his measurements, I know his blood type, his qi, his elemental balances! I'm a professional! Keep away....he could be infectious!"

Sumie already had her hands under his arms to drag him again. "Okay, let's get you somewhere I can strap you in and get you some attention..."

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Kazushi stubbornly refuses to go away, although he does step aside to let the healer have a look at Haruto.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Kuni-san, let me heal him." He had taken his eyes off of tge scorpion for a moment, while checking on the situation with the karo and the others. Now Hinata was being carried away. Where did she come from?

[Bayushi Hinata]

"Shit, yeah, it was quite a night," Sumie would say as she suddenly appeared and stood beside Hinata when he lay there with his injuries unattended.

"Ku- Kuni-san!" He winces as she looks over him. His face contorting into further horror with every word out of her mouth.

"N- measurements why- Kitsune-sama! I could actually use your help Iam hurt!" He says in vain as he is dragged away in a twisted expression of horror and stinging pain. "I should really stay and give testimony! I shouldn't go!"

He is helpless as he is dragged away, too injured and tired to fight back. "Someone?! Anyone?!"

[Kuni Sumie]

"Kuni-san, let me heal him." He had taken his eyes off of tge scorpion for a moment, while checking on the situation with the karo and the others. Now Hinata was being carried away. Where did she come from?

"Hah? What?" Sumie glared at the Kitsune. "Oh, no, no, no! You're not touching him with that celebrity lameness! Hinata-kun is at least, a little, better than that! Why don't you like to attend to like the rando mooks here? And that Yasuki officer over there? I hear that if you stack 50 potions prior to the fight with the One-winged Oni, you can totally keep someone from dying! This is totally not doctoring advice."

"Stop screaming! People literally don't have line of sight to us, so they can't see us!" She would tell Hinata as she dragged him a little more.

[Bayushi Kazushi]

Kurumi steps away from her employer and toward Sumie and Hinata.

"Bayushi-sama doesn't seem to want to go with you, Kuni-sama," she says, her hand resting on the sidearm in its holster. "It might be best to respect his wishes."

[Kuni Sumie]

"Seriously?" Sumie said with a few blinks before groaning and just letting Hinata go unceremoniously.

"Fiiiine. I was only trying to do my job, a medical professional! By the way. I don't play a role on the informator," she would say with a glance at Kyoshi.

"And, I'm also the most non-lame one here, too," she said with another glance at Sorato.

"My job here is done, for now," she said before letting out a rather heavy and long-winded cough. "Ahrruf-Imaterializethroughanycorners-uhm!"

With that, she left the scene.

"Slash exit!" She called out from down the hill.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I don't think your relationship with her is healthy, Bayushi-san." The Fox said as he asked the water kami to heal the Scorpion.

[Bayushi Hinata]

"Oh you think so?" He says in a totally serious tone. "I've only met her... Geez it's twice now!"

[Yasuki Honoka]

As Sorato was given Honoka's appraisal, she would step to the side and further allow him entry. Offering her the opportunity to step up to Kazushi, whom she met eye to eye. Interposing herself between the Scorpion and the scene, "Bayushi Kazushi-san," she says, an affect of politeness. "Are you in need of assistance in some manner?"

Yasuki Haruto

"Yasuki Haruto-san?" Sorato asks with surprise. "So he wasn't with... ah... them?" A look over his shoulder at the injured criminals being rounded up. Despite being unsure about how Haruto ended up in this state, however, Sorato is not at all confused about how to assess an injured patient. He drops to his knees, pulls on gloves from his kit, and begins assessing Haruto and taking steps to slow the bleeding and address shock. "More help is on the way, Haruto-san. Just hold on, we've got you. Umiko-sama took good care of you."

A quick glance at Umiko in a spare moment doesn't reveal any obvious injuries, and Honoka said she and Umiko were uninjured, but it's hard to tell... "Umiko-sama, none of that blood is yours?"

Hands full, he doesn't have much attention to spare for the assembled Scorpion or Kuni Sumie, though he probably would have a hard time contesting Sumie's accusation of being more lame than Doctor Badass if he had heard it.

[Kaiu Ryosei]

She grins, jogging up and clapping Ryosei on the shoulder.
"Just watching me do what I do best. You did pretty well yourself, Crab don't mess around, even the ones with big brains who can do something more productive than just blasting."

Her expression turns slightly more serious for a moment.
"...It suuuuucks having someone you care about in a fight though, seeing them take hits is actually kind of awful. How about we stick to group fights for just special occasions?"

He nodded "Yeah, combat is a lot different when someone you care about...deeply is involved." His hand moved up a little to cup her cheek and winced a little. "Does put a few things into perspective though." He said softly just for her as was the look in his eyes when he said it.

He let his hand drop and cleared his throat "but yeah not something I'm used to."

[Bayushi Kazushi]

"My colleagues," he continues, gesturing to Kiyoshi and Hinata, "and I have been investigating this matter for some time, and as is apparent one of them has risked much to assist the local magistrate in putting a stop to the malfeasance of this 'cult', if that is indeed what it was. Now I am here to help sift through the remains to seek answers to the remaining questions..."

He doesn't add, ...and conceal those answers from those who don't need to know them, but one can take it as implied.

[Yasuki Honoka]

"Your devotion to rending truth from mystery is admirable, Bayushi-san," she says. "However, I would like to ask you to look around and see what it is you see."

Honoka would pause long enough to force Kazushi to take in the environs in which they are now in. Samurai, blood, bodies. There are those who recently held incredibly high emotions in them now forced to remain presentable before the rest. This was the scene where something very dearly traumatic just recently finished.

"I assure you whatever it is you hope to rend from this moment, now is not the time. Your mission, however just it may be, will only cause further strain on those now needing to heal. A man lay terribly wounded just behind me, and there are those who have.." she swallows, shaking her head. "Many of us here just had a brush with the end of this life. For the others, for myself, I ask you give us space now and allow us our time to process. Please, Bayushi-san."
