The Governor's Estate is situated in the heart of Shiro Ei, past a few checkpoints fortified with concrete and steel. The home is in a defensible position, second in priority only to the main garrison itself. The shiro itself was originally designed by a traditional Kaiu architect with the slight side effect of being surrounded by walls and guard stations, although the view of Mount Nakahama remains ever present. The building itself is an expansive two-story structure with bedrooms for the Governor and any important guests she wishes to host. In contrast to the stale military surroundings, the estate is designed with architectural beauty in mind and boasts a luxuriously furnished interior. The floors are lined with polished local hardwood with an abundance of sun filtered through its multitude of glass windows.
The visitors who are roomed in the mansion's guest quarters will have a view of the unusual Kuni Gardens and the newly reinstated pool, just facing away from the main garrison and the training grounds, so that the stationed samurai aren't distracted from their exercises and training. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, tailored to comfort, and have a squadron of servants ready to attend to most requests on short notice.
